Love your honesty about why the pump failed after 40 litres etc. I use mine alongside my 390. I might spray a front door or a garage with it. Bottom line is that the pump is so small that to do it’s work it generates a lot of heat. Extended running will kill it because it is running too hot. You can run it infrequently during an entire day just don’t run it all day. I wouldn’t even run it for an hour. Your tip about using a battery at a time is spot on I’d say 👍🏼
Just bought this unit. Wouldn't it be nice if they made a quality handheld that was capable of continuous duty. I hate having to worry about how long I use it.
I’ve got the ultramax uses different size thread for tip guard bit annoying, was going great until last week it stopped spraying I opened it looks like one of seals have failed, needs new pump $370 Australia dollars, it didn’t do that much work
Just ordered one of these for my woodwork on domestic and site. Say after your 20 minute use,how long would you rest it if to use again in the same day!?
Hi there, I don't recommend these units for regular use tbh. I can't really advise on the amount of time inbetween uses because I personally wouldn't use it more than once a, day. Graco estimate that these pumps can spray around 200 litres, but my original pump was replaced after 30-40 litres of paint because I was spraying small ceilings, with it, and woodwork in a hall, stairs and landing.... So I came to the conclusion that these pumps simply couldn't handle being run for longer periods of time. I now, would only use for say ornate coving on a ceiling, or touching up on an already sprayed surface... Which I believe is, what these are originally made for. Also remember that by just priming the pump ready for use, and cleaning it afterwards is already adding to the usage, and it can take around 5 litres to clean at least All the very best, Joe
Hi mate, What do you think about... graco gx21ff compared to Gx21 and gxff? Im wanting to use just the one machine to spray emultion waterbase paints and gloss oil based paints. The gx21ff lets you do both on one machine. What do you think, your ideas would be a grate help Thank you 😊
Hi yes, they are a very good option, but just keep in mind that the gx21ff has a longer hose and not ideal for when you just want to do woodwork, so i recommend getting an extra shorter hose for when doing smaller jobs. All the best, Joe
Hi melanie, I think the Tc pro is pretty much the same..if I'm not mistaken it seems like a stripped back version that doesn't come shipped with the supplied tips ect that the ultra does get shipped with. It's not something that's sold here in the uk. All the very best, Joe
This sprayer is a piece of trash. I would love to have my money back but there are no numbers to call and no instructions included. It doesn't spray the paint well, air seeps into the paint container, and the paint does not come out evenly. Do not buy this product! I don't know how much my husband wasted on this for my Christmas gift last year, but we have not been able to get it to work in the year that we've had it. I just tried it again and wasted a $40 quart of paint and did not even get one kitchen type chair painted. This is a company that does not stand behind their product. They hide behind a RU-vid video. BEWARE!
This pump undoubtedly has its limits....but used correctly, it can spray as intended on small job's. I agree that it is not really fit for purpose ...but not because it doesn't spray well...because it actually sprays fine with the correct products.....but because the pump is too small, not durable , and does not have longevity. I might buy your answer if it were only me who could not get this paint gun to work. My husband has been in the construction business for more than 30 years, using lots of different kinds of paint guns and is an expert at fixing tools. He cannot make this paint sprayer work. So I do not accept your "put off" that I'm just not using it properly. Additionally, if it had a certain way that it needed to be used, shouldn't they have added that important information on some instructions with it??
@@janelleyelton3828 it's an airless sprayer....ive used it successfully to spray trim paints and emulsions....I have never had an issue with how it works apart from a few issues with the suction cup....which I found just needs regular liner replacements. I can only go off my own experiences with this pump.
