Grade 5 Hiking: Cathedral Range State Park

In this video we hike an 11km track named the Sugarloaf Peak and South Jawbone Peak Loop that is located in the Cathedral Range State Park, about 2 hours north of Melbourne.

I don't think I've ever been so nervous watching a hike video before lol. So glad u winged it being a grade 5, and got back down safely. Really awesome Luke 🤟👍

Great climb. Funny how Australians pronounce words like "Warder" and "Spoidah" :D I think the hike might be more fun without the arrows and signs, but then I wonder what kind of harsh wildlife you've got to deal with there.

Hey Robert! You are very welcome. I enjoy the sounds too - they are quite relaxing. It would definitely be good to hear some of indigenous stories. I am aware that there are two recorded sites within this park - a scarred tree and some other artefact. There's also an important area for the Taungurung people located west of this park over near the Acheron River valley.
