I just collected 2,000 Jade Cove Big Sur California Jade. Very old Collection from 40 and 50’s. I think Jadeite! I have to get it Graded going to be a job 1,000 pieces at least from 30 lb to palm stone size. Some like you said super translucent no light needed to not much to blue Jade.

Just the facts ma'am...... just the jade facts. I live in Washington and have just started poking around for jade. Fortunately I live within walking distance of one river that is noted for jade and a short drive from another. Now I've got to buy myself a lapidary saw. I think this could be habit forming.

Personally jade is BEAUTIFUL if I can carve it, the lowest grade jade or the highest dosent matter to me. I want a jade tiger statue in front of my door. It’s a super pretty stone so all of it will be used
