@@Ynkno Falcons are getting too much hate about that number 8 overall pick. If Penix is playing by year 3 and he looks good, it’s a great pick. Falcons can cut ties with no penalty from Cousins after 2 years. Falcons won’t be picking this high again until Kirk is gone. Plus there’s pending tampering charges coming down so we’ll see the severity of that. If the pick hits, well you’re set. If it doesn’t, then they can draft another qb in 2027. They atleast addressed needs. Packers addressed some needs but lack an Alpha receiver, iOL, and another corner who can start. They wasted their picks on additional S and LB

i think people are sleeping on the value of a punter or kicker at r4 or later. Most players dont turn into stars after r3 statistically speaking, when you already have a solid roster on paper (but had the 32nd worst punting game in the league last year) it makes sense to patch that weakness with a guy with crazy accuracy. It was just an added cherry on top to get Austin Booker also (who is the dude i initially wanted at 122).

You don't care, and didn't put any time or attention into the draft class, which is fine, but that's why you haven't heard of any of the players, not because they're not good. Also, you add that you'll assume he knows much more than you. You don't need to assume that. You know for a fact that he knows more than you, because you admittedly know next to nothing. The Falcons could have: A. Signed Kirk Cousins to a modest veteran contract (I’m not saying league minimum) and saved a lot of money while still drafting Penix Jr. B. Not signed Kirk Cousins and drafted Penix Jr while using that contract money to put key pieces around Penix Jr. Unless the Falcons have a lot of cap space over the next 5 years, Kirk’s contract is going to handicap the Falcons, and a lot of those key players (Algiers, Pitts and Bijan) are gonna bounce and Penix Jr will be stuck with a skeleton crew of a football team.

Saints fan here: I know you can’t give an A+ purely based on lack of capital, but with the picks they had, the Saints had an INSANE draft. Fuaga is a DAWG, and the O-line was the biggest weakness last season. With him, Ruiz healthy and the rest of the squad they’re looking mid-tier which is a huge improvement. Trading up for Kool-aid was unexpected but MUCH appreciated by us the fans. Him and lattimore, plus the honey badger? Davis and cam each have 1-2 more years but we also traded for chase young already so the defense is looking 3x scarier after just that one pick. Spencer rattler can have 1-2 years under Carr, and then take over when he’s ready and Carr is ready to retire. And as a backup we’ll take it. Bub means and Boyd were both excellent late rounders. This is both a draft to secure future stability, while possibly becoming contenders depending on how our new OC and tackling coach do.

The whole point of the Packers' pick of Jordan Morgan was to get the team's bookend Left Tackle for the next decade protecting Jordan Love's blindside. In regards to picking Morgan over Barton, the Packers have one of the most respected OL developmental staffs and scouts in the league right now, so they must have believed Morgan is the better prospect, even with a history of a knee injury, which tells me that the Packers organization consider Morgan as good at Joe Alt, or perhaps even the best OT in the draft. One more thing, I think even if Terrion Arnold was available at pick# 25, the Packers would STILL have taken Jordan Morgan. Packers GM Gutekunst already said he believes that the Packers have a solid corner room and competition will take care of the spot opposite Jaire Alexander. The whole plan in the 1st Round was to take Jordan Morgan no matter who fell. So, I can't give a "C" grade at the #25 pick because one of the best OL staffs in football held their ground on their valuation of Morgan. At first, as a Packers fan thought the pick was crazy, but then after much thought about it, I am grading this an "A" and expect this to be a pick we look back on and understand the reason.

After Brad Holmes' 4th draft, I am now noting that he like to use the 4th Rd to nab project players at the top of Day 3. ARSB, Derrick Barnes, trading all 4ths in 2023 for Brodric Martin, and this year Manu (a small school prospect) and Vaki (a positionless weapon). I get that people are dinging the Lions' grade for these picks, but I see it as Brad getting his long term project players before anyone else gets a chance. So kudos for going and getting his dudes, and he only lost next yr's 3rd in future capital, which could end up being returned as a comp pick.

Rams are getting slept on. They filled every hole that they needed and bulked up big time. They also got the best kicker in the game (which was the position that lost them multiple games last year) Regarding trading up to get Fiske, I would only downgrade it if they got any other DT. But to have 2 guys from the same school kept together is good from a scheme perspective, and for relational chemistry as a whole on the D line

Hey I know you cover a lot of teams so stuff gets lost in the shuffle but the Jets did sign Tyrod Taylor this offseason to back up Rodgers so Travis will probably hit the IR for a good portion of the season and just get to learn

If it wasn't for that gruesome injury, Jordan Travis would've been drafted in the early rounds and would've been out of reach and the Jets would've drafted Michael Pratt instead but overall it was a virtuoso draft anyway

Brad Holmes said in a press conference that Giavonni Manu was really popular with other teams. He just got graded so low because he went to a small school in a small conference. He's 350 and solid. He is the size of professional strongmen who have to do a ton of drugs to get to that size. You can't coach being a freak of nature.

Bo Nix is a great start...our draft was a B+ in my book. Payton smashed what was given to him. Javonte, Jaleel, Estime and Watson in the backfield is a fantastic lineup. Jonah Ellis gonna be a nightmare for QB's. Frank Crum was a great addition to the Oline, and being able to run the ball gives Nix time to adjust and open up the passing game.Bo is a humble sponge for knowledge and he will do just fine.

Cooper Beebe might be the best IOL in this draft class. I was sleep on him until you see the way he handles Byron Murphy and Tvondre sweat. And honestly, at this point I just trust the Cowboys scouting department when it comes to o-line lol. They consistently find top tier talent. Remember people laughed at them when they selected Zack Martin…

As a Bears fan, I still can't believe Rome fell to us! I thought for sure a team would trade up with Atlanta and block us from getting him. I also love that Poles took Taylor in round 4. He knows how important field position is and that dude can absolutely flip the field. Booker is being compared to Crosby. If he is even half of that, I will take that.

Even not having a 2nd rounder for the rams, i assume they will trade their first rounder next year since itll be a closer to the second round a very late 1st round, and theyll get more picks by trading down.

I think people took the Sean Payton quote about teams trading up for McCarthy and made it into way more than it was. I don't think that was directed specifically at the Vikings at all. He knows what they gave up was nothing. I think in that context he was just speaking to all the talk about the Broncos trading up in general throughout the draft process. Doesn't really matter either way, I just find it interesting that everybody thinks he was taking a shot at the Vikings specifically.

Giovanni Manu may well be a reach, but hes big and quick and there seems to have been a lot more interest in him in NFL front offices than in the media - if even one of the other 10 teams he visited had a 4th round grade or better on him, he probably wasn't staying on the board much longer.

I think Kinglsey gets bumped up a grade simply for Coach Heck and the Chiefs history of developing linemen, not to mention the fact that Kingsley answered the phone and immediately called him "Coach Heck." I'm probably higher on him than I am the Worthy pick. Agree that Wiley is prolly a TE2, but could be an important transition piece for the next few years w/ Kelce.

We didn’t trade off one of our main guys because neither were getting anything of worth for how important they are to our scheme. Ricky is gonna mature over this year and be a good PR/WR3/4 and then next year when Jennings is gone we’ll likely trade off Deebo in order to let Pearsall step into the WR2 position alongside Purdy. Just because there are “better” prospects doesn’t mean they’d be better for the team. The niners system doesn’t just allow any receiver to step in and succeed. Pearsall is the type that can, I don’t think legette would.

I think the Lions did well if you consider that Holmes does not care for draft consensus, and I think he's earned the benefit of the doubt there. He drafts for players that may or have star potential and uses FA to fill roster depth. The first two picks are obvious. Manu is a raw physical specimen that would have been a day 1/early day 2 pick if he played at the NCAA level. Sione is just straight up a football player that likes to run over things. Mohagany was a great value pick that gives the Lions depth in case Ragnow or a guard comes up lame. This is an A draft for me.
