14:20 Tekken is *infinitely* harder than Smash. You got 20 moves max for a character, meanwhile one of the simplest characters Yoshimitsu has around 105. But it’s arguably easier to get into Tekken than smash potentially, due to Arcade Quest pretty much helping you get used to whoever you want to main, Ghost Battles, and other options to help learn the game.
I think smash is harder simply for the amount of movement options and the microspacing you have to do around your opponents. Tekken has footsies but smash one wrong move and you off the stage
This has never been a real conversation. Smash is a party game dressed up and mistaken as a fighting game. It's overly simple and lacks core fighting game mechanics and fundamentals. Any new comer can learn how to spam Bowsers bodyslam while up or K Rule's broken specials while camping the corner and can thrash some of the most experienced players. That is not the case in Tekken. Most players who rely on only gimmicks get their heads bashed in. Fundamentals have to be mastered in Tekken to actually compete against let alone beat actually experienced players, and that isn't even going into the high level play. Tekken is so deep that there are legacy mechanics in the game, if u get tackled u can reverse the tackle by using 3+4( the leg buttons) as soon as ur character touches the ground. U can also counter a parry known as a "chicken" it requires a complicated imput that I can't remember rn, it's online tho.

Maybe I’m tripping but I feel like if u eliminate 3 seconds you’ll just have teams who run more zone so they keep Rudy gobert or whoever in the paint.
