This draft class was stacked with all-pro talent and of course the Jets end up picking the one player that gets an F grade lmao

Don't forget Lawrence has Doug Pederson as HC. Urban Meyer almost ruined that young man, Pederson came in and helped right the ship.

Important to note that Mac went from having one of the best OC's in the game (bad coach, great OC) to defensive and special teams coordinators directing the offense

Hopefully Justin going to have some talent around him this year and have a breakout year with the Bears.

About 400 rushing yards in his first season (vs 1100 in 2022) goes to show how unbelievably awful the 2021 Bears and Justin Fields were coached. I hope he can have some kind of a breakout season this year

I think an A+ with Lawrence is kinda high I know he showed lots and lots of potential. He wasn't lights out like some the other A+ I think he will be an all time great this year and throughout his career

Could you imagine this Jets team with Justin Fields. Fields and Garrett Wilson already had chemistry from their time at Ohio State. Even Mac Jones would make them a playoff team.

Overall, ver fair grades. I agree with a C+ for Jones, but you could have been a little more generous, given his offensive coaching incompetence. I think Parsons deserved a ++, as he is not only a two time AP, but has also been a two time top three DPOY candidate. I understand giving Lance an incomplete, but I would have voted for an F, as he has provided less than Wilson. I agree with the expression “the most important ability is availability.”

Mac Jones is also an example of how putting a defensive coordinator in charge of offensive play calling will ruin even promising QB prospects.

PS2 for the Broncos is definetly an A+ and will only get better barring injury. Now, let's see if the Broncos can find some good-chemistry on the Offensive side of the ball.

DeVonta Smith would be wr1 on over half the teams in the league. He set the Eagles rookie receiving record on a run-heavy team.

Called it in the moment, drafting Zach Wilson was the most Jets thing I've ever seen. I don't even like Justin Fields (Hate OSU), but taking Wilson over him was SINFUL

Through the latter parts of the season and the playoffs, I think DeVonta Smith was the best receiver on the Eagles. He was making clutch play after clutch play.

As a pats fan was expecting worse for Mac but the Cplus is fair. First year was good but his 2nd was to hard to grade. Patricia and Judge coaching the offence with lack of weapons and Oline just set Mac Jones up to fail. Next year is a BIG year for him. We will find out if hes a good enough starter or not.

I was nervous what grade you were gonna give t-law because of his first season but I think people are seeing past the urban Meyer experiment failure. It's been rough being a jags fans but I think we've got a great team for 2023

The problem with the Pats and Mac Jones wasn't just the weapons, but also the coaching (and I would argue that the coaching was the biggest factor). It's impossible to ignore than when grading him. I think under BoB we'll be able to see what he's really capable of.

Whooo, that Lance take did not age well. The number 2 and 3 picks in this draft being F's is really amazing when you consider the number of incredible players who came afterwards.

Grading was pretty good imo. Gotta agree with commenters though about Justin Fields. He's a really solid player and could be better than Lamar if he had some weapons.

Jaycee horn maybe the most underrated player in the league. I hear little talk about his all pro season and the fact he didn't make it to the pro bowl is a joke. Love to see the appreciation.

Actually I'd say the Pro Bowl is more competitive now. Back when it was an exhibition game, players nursing injuries or wanting to avoid injury would avoid playing, opening spots for others. Now that its no-contact flag football, players are more likely to play, meaning fewer pro bowl slots available.

A C+ for Mac seems a bit low. Fighting for OROTY his rookie season, making a pro bowl and nfl top 100 in year 1, misses a decent portion of 2022 due to injury while also having Matt Patricia as the offensive coordinator. The entire Pats offense struggled in 2022 bc of the lack of a true play caller. The pats weapons on offense got BETTER from 2021-2022, it came down to not having an OC or a QB coach which you can’t put on him

I would to see a jets team that pursued Alex Smith after leaving KC or even marvus Mariota last year. I'm a lions fan so if they put Goff on the Jets that's a team competing for AFC championship

Fields deserves at least a B-. The QB everyone is giving an A+ in this video threw 4 picks in one half of his first playoff game. Fields broke mutliple QB records (albeit rushing) this year, this doesnt sound like an average grade draft pick to me. Cant just look at the teams record as a gauge for his grade. His performance on the field with his supporting cast puts him right below Lawrence.

As a Pats fan, a HUGE factor to consider with Mac Jones is that he had Matt Patricia (maybe? nobody knows entirely who was calling the plays) as his OC in Year 2 and that was a decision that fans didn't understand before the season. Personally, I'd say the pick was a solid B and it could have been higher if we had a real OC for him in year 2.

The 2022 Patriots had a disastrous offensive coaching thing. He had no offensive coordinator, which I think he needs. Granted, that doesn't necessarily excuse his play, but I just think Jones needs an OC to play his best football. So 2023 should show a big improvement from last year since the hire of Bill O'Brien

Mac Jones is an A- in my opinion. Sure, he had a tough second season, but getting a QB with that potential at 14 is an immensely successful pick.

Sewell needs an A+, 100% believe there is nobody else in that draft that helps set up the lions where they at like Sewell did

I gotta say until this video i didnt realize how many studs did this draft class bring to the nfl. Like i knew somewhere in the back of my mind that they were drafted in 2021 but never really put together the thought of how amazing is this draft class. Im amazed and a bit ashamed as a fan😂

I am forever grateful that the Jets won those two games to give the Jaguars the #1 overall pick. Everyone who says you should try to win every game no matter what are buffoons. You have little to gain and everything to lose when you are on track to get the #1 pick with Lawrence in that draft.

Trevor’s season is still overlooked by some. On the surface it’s like meh because he had a bad stretch of games mid season. But he had 25 passing tds, 5 rushing touchdowns and only 8 interceptions (he was a fumble machine though lol). And a lot of the big plays later in the season, he changed the plays at the line of scrimmage or just free styled ( Doug was not happy but atleast it worked lol) The mere fact he had a historically bad and historically good game all in one night says a lot. I don’t know how the hell he did it. I would’ve asked to be benched after pick 4. He definitely has some balls

Devonta will be the best #2 receiver in the league for his entire career and never be a #1. That doesn't mean he wont be the #15 receiver, but he doesn't have the total package needed to be any better if the primary focus. Sewell is a monster and will be one for a decade.

As a lions fan i love sewell. But i wonder if slater or him will have the better career when it is all said and done
