Norwich are actually geniuses, they sent Cantwell to Bournemouth so he’s mastered the championship when Norwich come back to win it again next year before again immediately going down in 2024
@@llamarolled3843 yep, just goes to show you how little ambition the club really has. Always happy to settle for 2nd tier champions at the very best. Shame
@@adamg8814 we don’t have nearly as much money as even the top clubs in the championship. Delia Smith has like £30mill net worth so for the amount of money at our disposal we are doing ok. Would be nice if we spent but frankly I don’t want to end like certain clubs that over invest then stay in the championship for an extended amounted of time to make up for the loss.
Tammy abraham already broke the record for most goals ever scored in an Italian club by an English player in a single season and it's barely February. 10 goals in 21 games in the league 6 goals in 4 games in the conference league 1 goal in the Italian cup last 16 Mourinho's new Drogba Meanwhile Lukaku has broke the record of being the fastest player to upset his former club on his return 😂😂😂
@@destianpatrianagara1119Well Chelsea has a buy back clause in 2 years. Hopefully by then Roma can get top 4 this season ( they're like 4 points off) and Tammy could play a season in the champions league with Mourinho. The system Jose plays is actually very interesting too. This is the most attacking he has ever been. I would say he definitely is one of the most attacking managers over there. Scoring goals for fun. 4 against atalanta. 3 against Juventus. 4 against Empoli and he has great players up front with Tammy Mickhitarian and Zaniolo working wonders. If they can sort their defense out they could be very dangerous
You've definately underrated spurs. The loans out made sense, gil needs gametime to develop. Lo Celso is a constantly injured wagebill. Ndombele is a useless lazy baguette, dele was done at the club. Bentacour will a hungry work horse in the middle and Kulievski will be great under a conte, hes a top runner. They got dead players out and replaced them with conte players. The only downside of spurs is the lack of a CB, RWB and striker but thats for the summer.
Spurs shouldn’t be 17th and I’m a biased fan but Villa should be 1st. Bringing in Coutinho and Digne alone is amazing but also adding Chambers and loaning out some of the young lads who have already scored for new clubs is a great window!
Nah Spurs are in the correct position. They have no creative midfielders, failed to sell Bergwijn, missed out on at least 3 transfer targets then bought some Juventus benchwarmers
@@ultramegagoose5252 Bergwijn secured his role in the squad after that win against Leicester. I'm more angry they failed to sell or loan out Matt Doherty, who does almost nothing defensively. You're right about everything else, though I would put Tottenham in like 15th.
Leeds fan and I'm confused that we're not 18th or 19th at best... Most Leeds fans are claiming that the world is ending because we didn't sign like 4 players.
Way too high, expected us to be in the bottom 3 of this list. Irish guy missed the obvious too, 50 Million for Rapha and Phillips, first I believe it was each, so 100 million, which considering they value Phillip's England team mate Rice at 100 million alone is an insult. Leeds were never going to accept such a low ball offer. I don't think keeping either was ever in doubt barring an absolute stupid offer, not to mention KP is injured till March. The sort of amounts English clubs spent this transfer window on individual players would not come close to the valuations of Raphinha or Phillips.
My guy called Alvarez a flop just because he thinks he can't get accustomed to English society and gives the example of blood sausage. My guy that's one of the foods Argentina is famous for 😭
We can't expect him to become the next agüero right away, but don't sleep on Alvarez; if he can get adjusted to Pep's system and playing in the premier league, he has the potential to become the 9 Man City has desperately needed for a while.
I’m not thrilled but I’m content with the signings we made. Concerned about squad depth bc one injury crisis and we’re toast. But Ndombele, Alli and GLC clearly weren’t favored by Conte so it’s better to move them on. Would have preferred to keep Bryan but understand why he went back on loan. I’d give us a C
Arsenal have had a huge window in terms of finally clearing the squad out properly. I would have liked to see us sign a forward, but we've needed a clear out for years
Yeah Weghorst to Burnley is shocking. A loan until the end of the season makes sense but to buy him…or actually Weghorst accepting Burnley as his new club insane lol
To be fair Newcastle had to spend big to have any chance of staying up they still might get relegated but without this window they would be relegated in late March. Was expecting a "Lampard to Everton is a disgrace", regardless of whether it is or not.
I'm not a Spurs fan but you've been way too harsh on them. Kulsevski and Bentancur might be good signings and they finally got Alli and Ndombele off the wage book.
You can’t have a pop at united for loaning martial BEFORE the greenwood news came out. You can however, blame them for not bringing in a spare attacker on the last day, although they kept Lingard quite possibly for that reason.
their attack is going to be a beautiful shitshow in the next season and the season after that. Their main two strikers have a combined age of over 70, unless Bruno becomes a F9 and they fix their midfield - it's going to be hilarious
@@VitoCorleone66 It’s a bit ridiculous to call an attacking 4 of Ronaldo, Bruno, Sancho and Rashford a shitshow. There’s definitely a summer job needed to buy another striker and a backup RW but Rangnick isn’t a fool when it comes to scouting and buying players.
@@deangreen2567 I'm not calling Ragnick a fool, but we are yet to see attacking 4 of Ronaldo, Bruno, Sancho and Rashford work well together. Plus Ronaldo isn't getting any younger and neither does Cavani. I can totally see United panicking about the amount of offensive players, that left the club and buying some huge attacking player for stupid money, instead of fixing their midfield issues
@@deangreen2567 Ronaldo has been bordering on deadweight recently, Bruno looks like a shadow of the player he was last year, Sancho has yet to prove he was worth even half the price tag, and Rashford hasn't played well since spring of 2021...
Tottenham’s window was great, I dunno what you’re on. We got rid of a load of well paid deadwood and signed two very promising young players on great deals. Gil will be back too.
It’s not great. I’d rate it 5/10 as a spurs fan. To say that we had a worse window than some of the teams he put above us. The transfers out were great but we needed a rwb and a creative midfielder. Kulusevski might be that creative spark but we’ll see.
Palace also bought in Luke Plange from Derby for 1 million. And since he could be crucial in helping them stay up they sent him back on Loan till the end of the season. Decent young player it seems
Bruh, you completely misunderstood Spurs' needs lol. Alli hadn't produced since Mourinho, Ndombele was dead weight as was Lo Celso and Gil needed more playing time elsewhere. They did exactly what they needed to do while bringing in two players that are gonna follow Conte's instructions to the letter. This was a solid B- window for them. Whatever you need for them clicks, I guess lol
I demand a recount. As a United fan, I’d have put us 20th. We’ve needed a CDM for the best part of a decade, several were available and we went for none.
Not to mention you shipped out Martial on loan and left yourself woefully short in attack, given that Rashford isn't playing well, and the Greenwood unpleasantness.
At 3:01 which material is that?. Is it gold or silver or diamond or is it something else?. Suffering of colour blindness so what is the colour of that material is it yellow, or pink or black or white or is it something else?.
Aye i aint defending him but wait til hes proven guilty, ive seen the audio and vids ik its fucked but you gotta respect the rule of innocent til proven guilty
How West Ham isn't last, let alone 13th just blows my mind. Paper thin squad and our best players on the line if we don'y make Europe next season. The most important transfer window in the clubs history and our owners didn't do shit. Should be in a tier below F
He’s right about arsenal though. We have to battle for top 4 with lacazette and Nketiah as our only strikers. Lacazette has just one open play goal this season
@@edwardpritchard826 I'm sure he's right about Arsenal. However, West Ham only have Antonio as their only "striker", and Ogbonna is out injured for the rest of the season which leaves us with three centre backs in total. With Europa league, domestic cups and a race for the top 4-6, there's no way we'll manage to do it without resting Antonio and our only decent centre back. Which we now can't due to no signings.
In the Manchester section I am trying to figure out what player he is talking about. I am sure it's and explosive player that packs a powerful punch, but the clue throws me. I need Mr Holmes and Blues Clues to figure this out. Great vid bro!
Took me a second at 3:00, but I got it. So now we only have Sancho, Elanga & Rashford as wingers. Saying that, at least Sancho will get a guaranteed spot in the 1st team.
How did you put West Ham anything but bottom, were pushing for top 4 with one striker and are one injury away from playing Mark Noble and Craig Dawson every game, and signed no one 😭
Err... Norwich didn't lose billy gilmour, they've still got him, don't know where he's getting that info. Losing cantwell is a bit of a blow but he's not played well this year so... keeping him would probably not be best for him. It was a poor window but the Canaries spent 60 million in the summer, where the hell would we find the money in january?
Thank you man. I’m sick of seeing all these people saying Norwich doesn’t have ambition. Just because we keep going up and down, doesn’t mean we aren’t pushing. If anything for the finances available, we are doing well and while spending would be nice, I also do not like the risk of potentially taking years to go back up because we needed to balance the books.
@@Zpice there's only 4 loan spaces allowed for each team and norwich have 4 loanees. They couldn't have signed any new loans without ending a current one.
@@oliviaanderson1210 the lad wants to play for argentina and argentina alone. Constantly gets injured on duty and then spends his time at spurs the physio. Glad to see him gone
There's no option to buy for Gil so pretty sure we'll see him in a spurs shirt again. The rest didn't even make match day squad so what's the point keeping them
I think the Man United deals were pretty smart, sending Diallo out on loan to get more game time, sending Van de Beek and Martial out on loan, both have not been given much game time this season, and i think Martial's career at United is Finished , however sending him out on loan will give United one last look if he still has it to be a United player, Van De Beek has a great chance to proof he has it what it takes to make it in the prem, it also clears up a bit of negativity in the dressing room that might come from Martial and Van De Beek from not playing. It gives more time now for younger players to get a chance to play such as Hannibal Mejbri and Elanga and others. Ralf Ragnick was never going to sign a new player, as if he is most likely not going to be the manager at the start of next season, but an adviser, so he is not going to spend money on a player that the next manager might not want to use.
Nonsense, united are clueless, signing a midfielder is absolutely vital if united wants any kind of chance at top 4, mcfred is the most abysmal midfield 2 I've ever seen, and they will keep on being inconsistent and shit, our attacking options got almost cut in half, that club is rotten to the core, from the glazers at the top to fletcher apparently telling ragnick what to do, this club will be finished in the next 3 years.
@@khal3300 yes the club is rotten, and yes signing a midfielder would have been great, but Ragnick is not going to be the next manager, hes here to try and stabilize the team and dressing room, we have signed to many useless transfers over the years, the next manager will pick his players, he knows what he wants. no wasting money on players such as Sanchez, Di Maria, mkhitaryan and more. Fletcher knows this club well, he aint telling Ragnick what to do, otherwise Ragnick would not have signed for United, he (Fletcher) is the technical director of United, hes just also advising some of the players and keeping good contact with Ragnick and the players. Yes we lost Greenwood and Martial went on loan, but Elanga has started getting more time up front, Hannibal Mejbri is a attacking midfielder and is going to get some chances soon, then we have lot more youth players doing well, and Ragnick likes to give youth players a chance, so i think he will rotate some of the youth we have, covering for the players we lost. and we could always recall some players from loan if needed. Getting top 4 will be difficult but under Ragnick there is a chance.
@@tommihawk9878 even if ragnick isn't the next manager zakaria cost like 5 mil, I wouldn't compare that to signing sanchez di maria and mikhitaryan, there's no risc at all even if the next manager doesn't use him, they payed more for amad and pellestri just to send them on loans. Also fletcher represents everything wrong with the club, let's not pretend like starting mctominay every week despite being shite 90% of the time didn't come from fletcher, fletcher is part of the "dna" bullshit, passion and desire he's not fit to be technical director, we have incompetence from top to bottom.
*West Ham Should be far lower on this list* Everton, Wolves & Watford have had better windows. Sullivan trolling West Ham fans 🤣 GSB probably trying to sell the club and I guess they don't plan on spending anything. Why spend when you're planning on leaving...🤷
I will say one thing for The Irish Guy: He may be a crazy man for always making these "If A happens then I will B off of a C" but he always comes through!
@@ellibod1 He struggles to get over 10 goals a season, I think he's on 4 now, not sure 6 goals from your main striker is going to be enough, especially at that price.
Burnley grade is generous - Weghorst looks an improvement, yes, but we were desperate to sign a CM and a winger and we got neither - IF Weghorst hits the ground running and Cornet stays fit and in form, theres a chance we stay up, but the lack of investment in the midfield could be what sends us down
Bit harsh on Spurs. I can see your point if you consider the window from merely a singular POV of just ins and outs. Consider that Dele Alli hasn't done anything useful for 3 years, N'dombelle wanted to leave since the day he arrived and done barely anything, and Lo Celso uses the club as a fitness camp for Argentina matches. Meanwhile, they take home a combined €500k/week!!! Consider that if Dele plays 80 games over the next 2½ seasons, and Lyon and Villa Real take up the buy options, then we'll recover €150m for these players who barely feature. Getting these destabilising factors out of the club, also known as deadwood, is key to a broader rebuild and is in keeping with shifting Rose, Aurier, and Sissoko last summer. The 2 players we got in, Bentacur and Kulu, solve immediate problem areas specific to Conte's system and formation. Missing out on Luis Diaz was a kick in the teeth, but life goes on. If we can get an LCB, RWB and ST in the summer, with Gil hopefully developing on his loan at valencia, then we'll have a nice squad. It's clever business in the grand scheme of things.
Don't forget Arsenal also loaned Pablo Mari to Udinese quite late in the window with no replacement in sight. The only positive is Miguel Azeez is back from loan and he is certain to get game time in a threadbare midfield. Arsenal are 2 injuries away from a midtable finish. I can understand not wanting to sign any permanent deals but no loans coming in to bolster the numbers and help rotate the squad when they are so short is going to cost Arsenal top 4 imo.
That cake looked awful. 🚽🎂 So excited about the signings coming to the Toon. We could have used another striker, but hopefully Wilson will be back soon and we got much better everywhere else.
Tottenham's transfer window was wayy better than you think. We probably needed a new cm and a rwb but we got rid of players that were not helping the club at allll!!, and brought in promising players. Im lowkey feeling good to be honest. COYSSSSS!! Lowkey feel sad that delle's gone though. Imma miss him
Ralf Rangnick was very much interested in signing a new centre midfielder with reports saying that he was keen on the likes of zakaria and haidara, two players who could‘ve been acquired quite cheaply, especially zakaria since he was out of contract in the summer. Unfortunately, despite clearly saying that ralf would get backed in january, the board didn‘t deem any of the potentials options good enough and instead suggested they go for rice or bellingham in the summer, which led to zakaria heading to Juve for just 5 mil. Furthermore, the board blocked lingard‘s move to newcastle even though both the manager and the player were happy with the deal. This is a player that should‘ve left in the summer and is willing to run his contract down just so he can leave with a big paycheck. It was a totally shambolic window for the Man Utd and by far a terrible way for richard arnold to begin his reign as the new CEO
Ed was helming most of these I thought? Seeing as he left after Jan. Also the blocking of the Lingard move was because of a certain someone so it makes more sense in hindsight.
Re not agreeing personal terms with Ollie Turner, he is a well known Tottenham and Harry Kane hating gooner. He's made that very public. I'm glad he he didn't become a hypocrite and sign for us. Been trying to eject Ndombele, GLC, Dele and Clarke for 2 or 3 windows. If they stay away it's a good window. As long as we start replacing them in the early summer rather than trying, and failing in the later summer, it's not bad business. They wouldn't have played. The 2 new guys are unspectacular but reliable, rarely injured and fully comitted.
I'm a toon but even I can admit Villa had a better window than us. We improved, for sure, and the signings we made were good signings, but Villa lured in two immense signings with Digne and Coutinho, and Chambers is a good CB to have on their books as well. Their team looks pretty solid. Whereas Newcastle, while defensively sound it looks, would have had a much better window if we'd signed another attack force. Wood is alright, but like Michael said, Burnley's new striker looks more dangerous (though they'll still go down), and missing out on a hungry player like Lingard was a big missed opportunity. So yeah, obviously I'm happy we've invested in good players, but Villa deffo got the better players and had the better window.
Brentford one is far off. Yes Eriksen is great but but we completely neglected every area we actually needed to improve in. We needed a Rb, a backup Left back, a good backup gk and probably another attacker. We got none.
It's eaten most places in Europe, it's not unique to the North of England. Plus it's delicious, taste better than eating cake out of a toilet for sure :D
The worst part for Man Utd is not the fact that Martial had gone but the fact that after the Greenwood news came out they didn’t even attempt to sign any attacking option even if it was just as a temporary replacement for the summer window
Kind of late in the day when the board already don't trust the interim manager to make any signing. I think they basically just wrote off their season.
They say that about every South American player who comes to the Prem, then harsh reality sets in, the cold, the homesickness, the culture shock. Players who have spent time in Spain or Portugal first tend to adapt a little better.
Yes we had a frustrating transfer window, but who we got are proving there worth, Trippler especially,at least, we Newcastle are winning and crawling up league, that's why you gave us 1st!!
Arsenal's an A+++ for me... They honestly could have sold their entire starting XI and bought back a bunch of players who are either 12 or 78 years old, and it still would have been a good transfer window because they got rid of Aubameyang. That player was poison to the club, and Barcelona, Arsenal and the man himself will all be much happier for him leaving.
