I told myself all those years ago I wouldn't do this again...........whoops. On the bright side it's great to finally have this game not looking like a VHS tape.
Never seen that glitch with Vulture Dragon before...looked like it self-destructed prematurely and the game thought it was still alive until the time-out period expired!
After doing two loops of Gradius II a few months ago, I couldn't resist. I also wanted a GIII run posted that didn't look like an old VHS tape like my original one.
The labyrinth became easy it was the crystal rush that was the hard part, it is the worst thing I have ever come up against in a game and the level 10 just made things insane I never did beat that one.
OMG!!! You did it again. Looks better this version compared to the old one, I love this game (maybe because it's a game I like to put to my bros. when they like to piss me off, and this is a good counterstrike for that).
Awesome run man! OMG Option Hunter came at the worst time vs Shadow gear! I was very intrigued by your decision to go with tail gun for as long as you did.
How long did it take you to practice and get back into the game? Super impressive that you pulled it off TWICE now. I can only make it to stage 3 in the nerfed Asian version where they remove tons of enemies and you only lose your options when you die.
Great run, you're very brave for tackling the bonus stages after the rest of the grueling ordeal! What happened on the stage 7 boss? Why did the second form just blow up and leave you hanging for a minute?
@@Seahawk0027 You know, on retrospect, that's just a good time to open up another beer and to relax for a second. That's actually an interesting concept for a shooter. You get breaks after hard ordeals that lets you stretch or hydrate.
... might I ask why you chose to go through the bonus stages? Other than that, nice to see you took on this game again. Any other Gradius games you plan on returning to/trying to do?
That's a glitch in the arcade version of the game. Grabbing two power up capsules at the same time only counts as one grabbed in this version. This was patched in the PS2 and PSP versions.
Johnny Ace, only 1 fireball from the final boss can kill you, one warps you to a bonus Gradius 1 Stage 1, the other warps you to Salamander stage 1 as a bonus. Of course any powerups you had prior to the warps is stripped off of you, and you have to do the last checkpoint again.
It looks like Seahawk used a mega crush (The ! at the end of the power bar), and that seemed to insta-kill the boss's second form. As for being stuck after... game error?
