Not likely any time soon. Gradius 5 was a PS2 exclusive. Considering that most game publishers are only looking to emulate using preexisting open-source emulators, and the fact that the PS2 is pretty challenging to emulate, Gradius 5 would have to be built from the ground up for a new console. And I'm sure no game companies would be willing to put in such effort. Your best bet to playing Gradius 5 at the moment and the foreseeable future is to emulate using PCSX2 emulator.
The Gradians, R-Typians and the Thunderforcians would have an easier time battling the overwhelming enemy forces by investing in production capabilities BEFORE trouble comes. If one ship has a shot against an entire invasion force, imagine if they made just a few more. I mean, all this tech and zero common sense! The enemy forces would do well to stop producing huge, predictable boss vessels with shiny vulnerable spots that play peek a boo with laser beams.
this game of starships its perfect ¡¡¡¡ i never saw this type of game,,,,and the loops its the impresion of the fly in the space its amazing the impresion of this game,,, i like so much¡¡¡ and the bosses in the game are impresion of fantactic danger¡¡¡¡
I was apparently very close to finnish this game. I came to the amoebas in the end so right before the last boss. It was a bit too hard there. Just hope they would do Gradius 6
all shooter games have a lack of controlling: you get "S" you are faster, you get another "S" you are faster than before... and so on... But you are never able to slow down, in order to do this you have to destroy your ship! = this is, when you drive faster and faster with your car, to slow down you have to crash anywhere. Is that made on purpose?
