yippe!! www.heynadine.com p.s. for those wondering about post grad, I'm gonna think about it and I might go back in a few years, but I really wanna work for a bit first :)
Im going to uni soon and i have to decide on a course. I think i'll end up doing law because i can do it quite well and it pays well too...but i dont think ill enjoy it much. Do i go for a richer but more boring life, or a poorer happier one...
Congratz! I just finished my first year in comp sci classes! Love the programming && logic! Where are you planning on working with your degree? Or are you going for grad school?
I am happy to hear that ! I am so happy for you and nice to see you doing big things ! Keep up the good work ! I am looking forward to seeing you go far in life !
I am going in 3rd year myself, computer science with a minor in business :) Does it piss you off a little that we are not getting the iron ring although we are as qualified as computer/software engineers?
First of all, BIG congrats on graduating :) I am very proud of ya! As far as what I wanted to do with my life. When I first really started considering it, I wanted to be a Naval Aviator and wanted to go to the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Ended up giving up on that, though... can't really remember why. Anyway, I went to Clemson University and went into the Comp Sci program. Stayed with it and graduated four years later with BS in Comp Sci. Best of all, I'm using my degree at my job :)
CONGRATULATIONS NADINE!! I'm so happy for you. I knew you could do it. You are so smart, creative, funny. I never went to college and kind of regret it. I just focused on graduating high school. Just ended up becoming a truck driver after a few dead end jobs.
hey nadine, congrats to your graduation! I'm going to start studying something very similar to your combination in october this year, it's called "economy engineer" - kinda mix of business subjects on the one hand and engineering subjects like physics and maths on the other hand... are you going to do the master graduation later? sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany... ;)
Congratulations!!!!! Hope you go somewhere with it. I know too many people that graduated and did nothing with it. Good Luck. Hope to hear from you soon.:)
Whoo, congrats!! =D I had no idea you were doing that o.o Some subscriber I turn out to be. =P What kind of field did you specialize in/ do you like most? As for my progession.. I'm going to start Communication & Multimedia Design in 2 weeks =D So I'm really looking forward to that ,though I think I'll go for visualization more, rather than coding/ programming. Maybe some AS3.0/ Python, but meh.
Gratz on the graduation! What university did you go to by the way? But like you said about the English.. that's exactly the same thing with me.. i just don't get English.. it doesn't go well with my brain.. Now math.. =) just so much fun! And it makes complete sense. As for the future plans though.. I'm debating about going into business/marketing or math fields... Not quite sure which one i like more though. But once again, gratz on graduation! =)
Congratulations on graduating! I progressed from Film Studies to Computing, and I'm glad I made the switch! Not sure what I'd have done with a degree in Film Studies.
Well done, always great to hear good news! Myself, I've nearly completed a similar path (except in the Australian education system - so it's a bit different). Originally wanted to do Engineering/Commerce but changed to do Business and Information Systems. Turned out to be the best choice ever, I can certainly say great choice mixing the logic of science and business - certainly seems to be the way to go for jobs at the moment! Hope you do well.
I'm also in Comp Sci with a minor in business :) Going in 3rd year here at the University of Ottawa. Does it piss you off that we are not getting the iron ring even though we are as qualified as computer/software engineers?
Congratulations!! I have to go to school for one or two years and i'm so happy about this, to stay in school and learn a lot of things. I think it's much better than working now. and after school i'd like to study...but i don't know what yet. :D I have to think it over this year! And I'd like to say, that your video wasn't boring, for me it was very interesting.
congrats...did my first year automotive at camosun college and got the highest mark in the class...cant afford to go do second year yet plus i dont think i could work at night and goto school during the day..i did it for 4 years thru out highschool... did u get a student loan or did u work a second job? also...what the heck do they teach you in business classes..i could have sworn business was pretty basic..if it dont make dollars it dont make sence....what university did u goto
congrats! I also graduated! I loved writing in high school and I get along with people so my counselor told me to go for advertising and public relations I was 2 years in that I liked it, but I like the aspect of creating more so I transfered to audiovisual communications and I love film and filming and now I'm applying to grad school, film seriously congrats and you finished "on time" or whatever some people take forever its a relief
YAY! Congratulations Nadine! :) My own career progression hasn't been nearly as exciting as yours seems to have been, but um...I'm a junior in university, major in software engineering, and pretty much ever since I was a kid I'd been on my way here; my father was a comp-sci, and I inherited his fascination with computers, and with me extended that to games like WoW...so when I had to choose a major, I already had a good idea on what I wanted to do... Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes!
I'm going to be a junior in high school,I'm kinda nervous and excited because I've been home-schooled a few years now, basically I'm going to be like Lindsey Lohan in Mean Girls!I love writing and performing what I write more than anything,so I think I'm going to try to pursue that, but my parents think that you don't get a degree in talent so I should get a practical degree and job while actively pursuing my aspirations.Sounds good?
First of all congratulations!! That's indeed something great. As for me I'm into computer science, failed a course just for lazyness really lol. And as for rest I'm studying hard from now on. Keep on the great vids and stuff nayders!
Congrats! which university did you graduate from? University of British Columbia (UBC) or University of Victoria (UVic) or SFU?? I'm in Vancouver, British Columbia :)
Congratulations! I also am going to study Computer Science! I've been influenced by technology and computers at a very early age, like at 8 I believe and started programming when I was 13. This year is my first year at the University and am excited to meet people with the same enthusiasm. I liked your video!
congrats on graduating and good luck in the job market! I'm a sophomore in high school so i'm starting to begin what you've just finished, but atm I'm thinking something with history, maybe an author or professor.
haha, i graduated in May and i'm still wondering about life i'm capable of getting my master's but why add on more debt? I'd love to be financially set to really do what i want but i'm stuck deciding on work/grad school good luck!
Grats! i suck at English too, but i love math :P iv always been good at math, science, solving computer problems, and graphics design like photoshop ect...well grats again. Now that your done with school what u goin to do next?
Congrats!!! I went through a similar progression as you... really liked architecture in my snr yr of HS, but was persuaded by various people in my life to major in Engineering. Enjoyed it the first year, although it was def hard stuff. Went back and did it again for my first semester of soph year and after that i realized it wasnt for me. So i went through a transitional period, completing general education classes and now im in my 4th year of college pursuing my major in Environmental Design!!
hey i was wondering what type of engineering u studied at university because i really want 2 continue it as i did it in school and now im doing it in college. Oh and yea i suck at english 2 well languge i failed languge paper at school and my retake at college even though wat i wrote i thought was really good i missed a 20 mark question on the bck of the paper and it kind of has bin bothering me all summer 2 the point of havin nightmares of being stuck in college forever . yea message me
Congratulations on graduating! I switched through a lot of career choices as well. In high school I started out wanting to be a barber, then I really enjoyed science class and thought I wanted to be a physicist or other type of scientist. In my first semester of college though I found the science and math classes to be more difficult than I expected. I then found accounting and really fell in love with it. It just really made sense to me and that is what I do now.
I am very proud of you! You are doing well for yourself and you ambition and drive will take you far. Just don't forget us little people when you become super famous.
Oo congrats! If I don't fail out I'll have my bachelors in Computer Science in a few more years haha! I'd love to hear about what you're going to do now that you've graduated, I still have no idea what I'm going to do out of college....
Congrats :) you sound so exited, makes me wanna learn lol :D im currently studing interior design - im a senior in high school but im not sure i want to do that as a career, its cool but not my passion.
Gratulations Nadine!!! I studied CS for four years, but unfortunately never graduated, begun to work before I completed it. I'm one in the minority on this planet that is blessed with a work I think is fun every day! :)
Hey Nadine! Congrats on graduating! Not a subscriber -- RU-vid recommended your Canada Day vid (probably because I did one similar) and it caught my eye. So I checked out your channel. (BTW, liked the red hair, but then I have a thing for Felicia Day) Anyway I did Math/Physics at UBC eons ago, and it worked out well. Got into programming and eventually started a web development company with a couple other Physsoc friends. Still going strong. Best of luck in whatever you do!
oh wow your college career is exactly like mine, started off with engineering but then computer science seemed better.. AWESOME! And, idk why many people think computer science is hard...to me it like just clicks...i see it once and i get it, and yes, physics sux :( lol. Well anyway, congratulations on graduating, I got 2 more years left..hopefully...maybe 2 and half :(. What do you plan on doing with the compsci degree? I'm thinking about IT network security?
Congrats :D I'm just finishing up my first term as an Electrical Engineering major, I'm considering double majoring in either Mathematics or History. I wanted to minor in Sound Engineering but my school doesn't offer it. Oh well, I get a bit of it through my EE courses so it all works out.
Congrats Nadine! I've always had this musical side and this more exact side to me. Good at math and physics too, but at the same time A's in Music class, always playing in bands and writing for the students run newspaper. I decided to leave the creative stuff as my hobbies, and I've studied Human Technology (that's about usability) and Informatics so far.
Nadine, First off Congrats.... I never went to University. Started changing tires, then working on the first generation of PC's. Next I was negotiating and purchasing stuff. I am comfortable now, but could have done so much more. Congratulations for achieving your goal(s). The sky's the limit! I' am excited for you!!!
Congratulations!!! I'm so ready to be done myself. I started out my freshman year as a secondary education major, then I transfered and had to change to the subject I wanted to teach- math. Then I got to calculus and learned that I'm not as smart as I thought I was. I changed my major to art in my 4th year of college. Needless to say, I'm on the "graduate when you can" plan. lol Hopefully it will just be 5.5 years total.
Congratulations on your graduation Nadine! :) I am going in to Grade 11 this year. I'm not quite sure what I want my career to be yet, but I am taking courses that are in the business field. :P
you're finally free :P congrats! :) im just starting 9th grade, some im still stuck on school, without any clue of what im gonna do with my life, but you gave me some god ideas of what not to study lol, I suck at math and chemestry and all that :D but im thinking interior desing now ^.^
Congratulations any degree is a lot of hard work so well done on the so many years you've committed doing it! I'm at uni, just finished an engineering foundation year so i could get onto my chosen degree (that i'll hopefully like) Product Design & Manufacture.
congratulations. I always wanted to get into game design when i was a kid, but then i realized making games wasn't as easy as i thought. So now i am in the national pilot training college of Ireland studding to be a pilot and i love it.
My progression was 1 1/2 semesters of university toward architecture, Financial problems forced me to stop. Started Navy but accident that damaged my right knee and left foot got me a medical discharge. All healed now. Since then I've been working while on the side I am an amateur archeologist and historic restorationist. That is my current passion. I tend to do things you can't make any money at. But I enjoy it.
Congrats on graduating! I was originally interested in computer science. Then I wanted to go into law, but since law school is graduate level, I decided to do accounting for my undergrad. I got so hooked on accounting that I'm now in graduate school trying to get my master's in accounting.
im starting college this year! and im very undecided =/ i havent experienced much so i dont really know what i want to do. i hope i can figure it out soon. congratulations! it was rly cool knowing this part about you. we just see you doing fun videos and forget that you're an actual person that goes to school like the rest of us lol
yea, as of now im taking mechanical engineering first year university but im thinking of switching to business for 2 main reasons 1. your liable if you design stuff that fails and people die (donno if id be able to handle it) 2. you have to be inovative and creative and be one step ahead of what has already been done, which i dont think i can be
Congrats on your graduation! I'm in 10th grade now and I'm tryin to study to be an engineer, mostly a computer engineer. This year I'm also taking my first engineering class that I'll take for three years. So far from 7th-9th grade I never made less than a 3.5 on my report card and I hope it continues to be that way :-)
im starting high school next year & i've been thinking about what i want to be first it was a nurse, then a chef, but now i'm sure i want to be an interior designer. yes we have or had something in common.
I wanted to go into Psychology since grade 10... I have no idea where it came from. I followed through with it and am now going into my second year of university. I really enjoy it.
Cool, I just finished my last final this week and graduating the 23rd! :) I'm in computer net & info systems and my school ends in August so I graduate in 1.5 weeks (due to Co-op program). Anyways, a business minor is a great decision. For making the big bucks, it's good for becoming a manager and doing projects seeing the business side of things. But that means less coding or doing w/e fun computer stuff as managers. Good luck to both of us. Whipping out my resume in different places.
Gratz on getting through all your courses nadine, hope everything you wish for comes true in your life, and even tho this comment will just get lost in the internet its a big deal for you and im glad for you,,
A BS in CS? =P Actually, that's what I'm going for starting in September. Question though: why is it that a lot of places say going to University, whereas the people in the US tend to say going to college, whether it's a college or university?
congratulations nadyne feel proud of yourself for what you're making and that all who admire you are proud of you, as my staff does not know anything about English (in fact does not speak English I read everything with google translator) but for I'm a good math, go ahead and never forget to hand your studies because you are so funny and unteligente so do not be distracted by other things that you do not convegan. Remember to upload videos, be waiting for more.
Congrats. I'm about to start high school this upcoming school year. As of right now, I want to be a CSI because that kind of stuff really interests me.
HE Nadine, I took some time out and have come to university at 23 for the next 3 years i´ll be doing Entertainment management to run my on events and festivals its going to be boring and i´ll be old when i finish but hey its worth it. Congratulations on your graduation, my sister just graduated 2 weeks aga x
I went from High school straight to Flight College, always wanted to be a Pilot... so it wasn't such frustration for me, but I am glad you are that excited to have finished your degree. Congrats you are just about to start a new life.
congratulations. Since like 10 years old we've had uni pushed down our throats in england, so had to make up our mind quickly... always wanted to make games, so just finishing my second year at college and then going on to do computer games programming (BSC) should be fun. ^^
I started out in Engineering at SFU. But I don't know if it was not living at home anymore or what but my concentration was lacking and I couldn't keep my grades above the 3.00 average to stay in engineering. I then switched to computer science since most of the credits transferred and I graduated in 2000. I later did some business grad school work at SFU (GDBA program), but I'm still working in the software field. So that's my path.
I actually started college as a physics major, but switched to music after the first year. I now have a BM in Music Theory and Composition with a Voice Principle and a Piano Minor. However, I work in the computer field for a living. Good luck with your degree!
I just graduated from High School!!!! It feels great! I'm going to a community college to get my Associates in Art, and then I'm transferring into a four year college in California to get my Masters in Film!
OMG, im so totally into com science too :D im on high school right now, but i already know that im going to take com science :D and congrats!!!!! What subfields are there in com science? can you like, help me on thats? :D
Grats! I took the fast track and spent 6 months in class now I'm an EMT and get to fly about in an ambulance all day savin' the sick and the injured. Love it! Good luck in the job hunt! Wish you six figures! Hudj
I went from... graduating highschool in 2006, to taking a year and a half of college in the general area, to taking a break while working at Wal-Mart, and now this fall going back for Human Resource work (basically an H.R. Manager) and yea... the rest is... coming soon :P
Wtf...I watch this after the Christmas one since I was on your channel. You're a Programmer too? God damn, woman! Seriously, Damn tease lol. You know more Programming than me since I'm just getting into Java now. I'll have my Associates in 6 months - a year, depending as courses become available, then transfer to a new university and 2 more years added on til my Bachelor's. Congratulations though! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to boot. -Derek
