What Steve did was actually pretty smart. Crocodiles are ambush predators and need their prey to be unaware of their presence in order to strike. Steve never once took his eyes off of Graham and thus prevented him taking Steve from behind. (:
When graham is going up n down in the water - just after release thats scariest for me coz he just disappeared so fast yet you know he is there like woah!
I can't tell you how good it is for the heart to know that Wes is still involved with the family and that he was one of the very, very few at Bindi's wedding.
Steve is such a beautiful soul and is sorely missed. I'm just happy he gave the world 2 kids who have the same fiery passion as he does if not more so.

I agree, Terri is pretty special. But I think Australia Zoo was a place that treats their women as equals, and any woman who wanted to be involved, and was qualified to be, could be. After all, they didn't shield their children.
Steve, you were so wonderful how you took care of all of the animals in your care, we miss you very dearly. I was so sad when Steve passed away, I always use to watch ur show on animal planet. I loved watching that show.

i love how Steve was always most concerned with the croc, talking about how he hates stressing him out and stuff. its almost like it wasnt even a zoo, all the animals were just his beloved pets :)
Steve Irwin handled dangerous animals in a friendly humane way he didn't use any weapons or did any cruel inhumane things to hurt them he had respect for dangerous animals he treated them like his best friends and Terri did too and he thought his children the same thing.

I’m listening to this in the background and I keep chuckling whenever he talks about Bindi, mainly because my childhood pet dog(Australian Terrier) was named Bindy, though we named her after Steve’s daughter Bindi(I don’t think we knew about the fact that Bindi Irwin was named after a crocodile), so every time he says she’s a tough little one or how cute she is it makes me smile because that reminds me of how my family use to talk about our Bindy. And now you see why Crocodile Hunter named our star after her. His daughter Bindi is a legend in her own right and she and the rest of the Irwins are responsible for making sure the zoo stays running and fulfilling Crocodile Hunter's dream.

When crocs/gators have a hold of their prey in their jaws, they use the Death Roll technique (which is what they're doing when they're rolling around like a cylinder) to rip the meaty pieces off of their prey. And apparently they also use it as a means of escape when being captured.
