Andrei, there was a book I read years ago called “profit first”. He uses four different cash type accounts, one specifically for tax holding. It’s an easy read, you might like the concept the author presents.
The homeless in Japan have access to ultra cheap places to sleep like manga cafés and creepy room hotels and there's public lockers that cost almost nothing.

Japanese here who grew up participating in the school cleaning for years and then worked there. The other side of this is top down abuse. Schools in a way “save” cost to not have to have janitors, cleaners, or servers for lunch because the kids are expected to serve themselves. This carries on to the professional work culture too and expected to be conformed to what others are doing giving power to the higher up. Sure cleaning is a necessary discipline, but what’s sad is this becomes a tool of manipulation and the narrows individual mindsets. Graham is right that on the surface Japan is cool, deep down severely unhealthy mental state. No homeless? Look up how cities hide them.
Love hearing people in the US talk about high taxes. Up here in Canada, we get taxed to the nines. Also, serious dating is really just hinge at this point. Tinder is really just short term, Bumble seems to have got all the weird ones, Hinge is more serious and actually requires effort.
The highest tax rate in the US (federal) is higher than Canada. Also many states here also have a fat income tax. So .. yeah.. if you live in a state like California, people with higher net worth easily could pay 50%+ in taxes (and that is not factoring sales taxes, property taxes, etc..)
@@bradm1366 The highest income tax is California and you need to be making $500k US to reach the same percentage as what we hit in Canada at $250k. Sales tax is less than 10%, we pay 13%. If you make more of an average salary, your rate in California is less than 20% including federal, in Canada, 30%. We get taxed nearly 40% more on gas at the pump thanks to our lovely prime minister.
@@UraniumAtom lol what are you talking about? The min sales tax in LA County alone is over 10%, but each city is allowed to add sales tax on.. so much for your 13%. Not sure on your math. The average salary in CA is little over 73k. That would put you in the 9.3% bracket for CA and 22% for federal (since you seem to struggle with math, that is 31.3%. Not the below 20% you claim?) Perhaps you shouldn’t be trying to pretend like Canada has it that bad..
@@UraniumAtom and btw. Average gas price in LA right now is equivalent to 196/L Canadian. So we even have higher gas prices than you. And yes, I took the average regular gas price in LA. Converted the gallons to Liters. Then took the Liters/USD to Liters/CAD.
tokyo has tons of homeless people in shibuya at night and they have tons of internet cafes where you can pay hourly for a place and a shower. we dont have these in the USA, some people are for sure homeless but spend their days in these cafes that arent even considered hotels
