I hope to make a bunch of these! I’ve been saving them for many years…duck food, chicken food, and bird sunflower seeds. Want to use them at our food pantry. Hope it’s as easy as you made the video appear. Good job!
@@practicallycreative4213 MUCH easier! I don't especially like the feel of the plastic ones. I'm making another one today and I already sewed the coordinating fabric handles. I found trying to move the bag around to make the Z on them was extremely difficult, even with the fabric. The plastic is just so stiff. I make fabric ones all the time, but I have so many leftover bird seed bags, I wanted to make some to give away.
We have plenty of these bags to use!! We have goats, pigs, chickens, and three horses!! I was wondering what size needle your sister uses, and what kind of thread. Thanks!
This is a beautiful tote and such a creative way to reuse all those feed bags we get each month. Did you use a special foot on the sewing machine? I’m new at sewing, but going to give these a try! Thanks!
I have asked my sister and she said she has never changed the tension on her machine. Sorry because I know this doesn't help. She did say she used a heavy duty needle and a longer stitch length.
