I remember my brother getting the ps2 bundle for his birthday with sly Cooper, gran turismo 3 and some other ps2 games. I remember how chill this game music was. Makes me want to play this gem again
yeh Summer 2001 memories before September 9/11 changed our world so much, it came out on July 10 that summer before my 6th grade school year...there was so many great games to play on Dreamcast and PS2 and PC. GameCube didn't come out yet until November after 9/11
Even if this isn't your type of music, you can't not appreciate the effort and unmatched dedication to their craft that Polyphony Digital, and Japanese developers in general, apply to their video game soundtracks.
Super Speedway Mid-Field Raceway Smokey Mountain Swiss Alps Trial Mountain Tokyo R246 Grand Valley Speedway Laguna Seca Seattle Circuit Rome Circuit Tahiti Circuit Deep Forest Special Stage Route 5 Test Course Tahiti Maze Apricot Hill Raceway Cote d'Azur Special Stage Route 11
there is no reason for the main menu music to go this crazy hard but they did it anyways and i appreciate it. the fact that this is the first thing you hear when you open arcade mode is literally the greatest thing of all time
Used to play this as a kid, always liked the music. I grew up to love Japanese fusion bands, and after coming back to this soundtrack after all these years, it's absolutely blowing me away. So timeless.
I loved the vibes of the GT and Ridge Racer games. This one has an upbeat jazzy sound, and RR has that smooth liquid drum&bass. Both just free your soul and make it easier to focus.
Mannnnnn, I feel so nostalgic of this music. My older brother and his older cousin would play GT3 non-stop when O was 5, theyd constantly bet each other for every win, I remember me cheering on my brother to win, theyd be evenly matched. There was this one time my brother handed me the controller because I kept dissing him for being so slow, I didnt even know how to execute a turn without hitting a wall, I was so embarassed. Im 21 now, of course, my racing skills have improved, but not only that, ive also began to embrace my love for automobiles, maybe this is the game that started it all for me
A lot of nostalgia with this song. Playing Playstation together at my older cousins house. We since lost touch with each other. We were recently informed that he has passed away (suicide). I try to think back to the happier and simpler times from when we were younger. He was a major spark in my interest in modifying cars and racing. I appreciate all these times he spent with me. Mental health is SO IMPORTANT. Don't be afraid to get help from a professional. It's not a sign of weakness. It's a sign of STRENGTH. Even if you don't feel it, you mean something to someone. You helped form memories with someone who cherishes them. You matter, and so do your feelings. ❤️
Don’t forget the GT mode exclusive S class: - GT40 Race Car - Jaguar XJ220 Race Car - Opel Calibra Touring Car - Mercedes CLK Touring Car - Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car - Honda S2000 LM Race Car - Mitsubishi FTO LM Race Car - Subaru Impreza LM Race Car - Tommy Kaira ZZ-II - Toyota Altezza LM Race Car
Going from dealership to dealership looking at the different car references with this song in the background made me feel like a billionaire tycoon determining which car I would take for a ride.
All that afternoon, 2003. I was playing GT3, switching to motorsport tv to watch real race then going with my electric RC car, a 911 porsche gt1 98 LM from Tamya. Taking my bicycle to go to the race track and enjoy racing track days... It took me 2 hours go and back... All that i did i was 11 years old. Man i didn't know what fucked up after that. Life was so simple back then
Used to play GT3 at my friends place on his PS2 back in the day. Memories coming back. We always used to duke it out in the Viper and Corvette GT cars. And the Panoz Esperante GT1...who could forget that?
Man does this remind me of my childhood. It’s really hard to find sick music like this in other racing games. Games back then didn’t need graphics, it was about gameplay and great music. However gt3 had great graphics.
These first 3 games made my childhood and fueld my obsession with cars. I remember playing GT4 and being disappointed, then in 2010 I found out about Forza 4 and it changed my perspective on the racing game genre.
Up until about the late 90s, Nobody had ever heard of jazz fusion in the western world. Gran Turismo gave the western world a taste of what Japan had to offer.
This song brings back so many memories of my childhood playing GT3 Arcade mode with my dad and me always cheating as my dad would ask me to choose his car. I’d always choose a race car for me and something slow for him 😂
This was part of my nostalgia right here. Wow, how I always wanted to listen to this funky organy tune again. Somehow I always associated this tune with the desert race track in be game.
I remember first starting this game. I went to arcade mode. First car to drive, Corvette C5R. I used to get so desperate to beat the Pagani, Nissan, and the Toyota because they were so op between it and any other S class that appeared. Finally start beating them and then the 787B appeared. No amount of of practice was getting that Corvette or Dodge past that Mazda. Especially when it came to special stage route 11. I really wanted to see all these tracks in the later games.
It's honestly so hard to decide which I like more, this, or GT4's arcade theme. I guess I'll have to pick GT4 solely for the fact that I heard that one first and it's been stuck in my head for almost two decades.
