24.450 is my Tokyo best and constantly tuning for faster. With new update I might have to start all over again. IMO the timed 30 minute Lemans isn't worth the time if I can do it 5 or more minutes faster for almost same money
If you are here to find a really easy money grind in GT7, Sardegna TC800 is way better than this, or any TC700 race. Just buy _any_ Gr.2 car from the brand center, set it up to PP800 using hard racing tyres, set fuel map to 6, pit once for fuel only, and get 727k credits in every 25 minutes. No sliding in the rain, no fuel managing tricks needed, just drive around some, and enjoy your win.
@@ABalazs074 Not only Sardegna, but Le Mans and Tokyo also work. Plus with Sardegna you can use a lot more than just Gr. 2 cars. I've used the Chapparal 2J, 787B, R92CP, and various other race cars that weren't Gr.3s or Gr. 2s.
There's a strat where you literally don't need to pit at all. Use Xanavi Nismo GT500 just add ballast until it goes down to below 800. Fuel map set at 3, shift early, and keeping 1 gear higher on corners than you normally would. You might even find yourself having an extra fuel enough for another lap by the end of the race.
@@shutter-chan Or run whatever the hell kind of vehicle you want since there is no "proper" way of racing in a event like Sardegna. I casually use a Chapparal 2J, 787B, and numerous other vehicles that would realistically walk the Gr. 3 and Gr. 2 cars
The Physics may be more realistic, but the game for me at least, is way less fun. It requires way too much grinding for players who can't just go get gold in time trials. It's just too tedious if you take the fun out of it.
Its honestly weeding out the people with bad driving habits. Its the best its ever been and now you just have to improve how you drive. Which will result in way more pleasant sessions.
@@9521jan I agree... I was having hell and then it donged on me I had to put the traction control down to 2 and turn in earlier because I wasn't getting enough slip to take the corners at the speed needed and I have went back and turned all the bronze I fought for to GOLDS IN SHORT order
As long as it doesn't become too realistic then I'm ok with how it is. Because at the end of the day games aren't supposed to simulate or be like real life, so realism doesn't always mean better. The sheer fun is what makes a game like GT a game.
@@TheSilverShadow17 well… it is called “the real driving simulator “ so i can totally imagine it progressively getting more and more legit just like ACC did. It was garbage at first and now is an insanely good game. Gt is on the same path and its good stuff. Theres forza available for those who want to keep the arcade feel.
The new physics make engine swap cars finally feel realistic. Rx8, Rx7, and Fairlady engine swapped actually have grip. Making them op for any and all 700 races
I have up on grinding Lemans as I was tired of messing with the weather and multiple stops. I grind Sardegna with my Nissan RCP92. It takes less time, there's no weather, and you can make the whole race without a pit stop. Clean race winnings is $725k, and doing this multiple times makes the per lap winnings more than Lemans. Great video BTW! I'll definitely explore using these builds!
Yep, Nissan GT500, tuned down to right below 800, with full downforce + big wing + RS tires = 1 pitstop. 1:50-1:40 second lap times. (if everything lines up, I can do 1:38, but often there is traffic at key corners) There is probably room to optimize this, especially since it is about as fast(slow) as the other cars on the straits. I just pass everyone on corners. You can do no-pit using hards/mediums + fuel trim 6 + short shifting (or by using a gr.1 car tuned down) but that method takes me ~28-29 minutes to complete (5-10 extra seconds per lap x15 laps is up to 2:30, instead of the 20 second pit) and the first method is 26-27 minutes, so I don't see the point in avoiding the stop at the end of lap 8. It lets me check my phone lol.
725k for just under 30mins or 825k for exactly 30mins, it's kinda clear why the later is still pretty much preferred. and let's be honest, finishing the Sardegna event in under 25 minutes with any 800pp car is not at all easy.
@@badz1497 you raise a good point so I just did the math. If you finish in 26m26s or less, you beat la mans. If you get times over that, you may be better off doing la ma. I sit right at that cusp where it's either or, and with no weather, I can listen to an audio book while I drive.
@@badz1497 While the race at Lemans is 30 minutes, it doesn't always last 30 minutes. Sometimes, if you're too fast, you end up doing a 7th lap, which puts you well over 30 minutes. And when you factor in weather and pit stops, you increase the risk of losing the clean race bonus. But as you run more races, you can clear Sardegna faster than Lemans, which adds more weight to the smaller payout. Regardless, everybody has the money grind strategy that works for them, and that's what's important. Keep grinding ;)
Thank you so much for this build. Even after the update, I do have multiple GTRs that will consistently get 1st on the 700 at Le Mans but none of them are nearly as much fun to drive as this Subaru. The throttle is so responsive and the engine growl is so satisfying. I'm taking first by 2-3 minutes every time. Would love better braking and a bit more oversteer, but I'm loving throwing this car around. Great build mate, thank you.
Sardegna TC800 use the 🎉GT-One fuel map 6, pit in 9th for new tyres and fuel, then fuel map 1 for the rest of the race. over 1 minutes ahead of other racers .Easy 729k every 24 minutes
A lot of people say that cars are slower this patch? Nearly all of my 700 cars for Le Mans dropped 7-10pp which let me add more power to them. They all gained ~2 seconds around Le Mans give or take. I've yet to go through my other cars but most of my Le Mans cars got faster. As for tire wear, it has increased for me but only one of my Le Mans cars can I not at least double stint my tires. Many I can at least triple stint. The one that couldn't double stint was also a 4WD car. This makes me think it might just be a 4WD thing.
Yes slower indeed. You notice it on long races. the 900 Touring race (485,000 credits) pre-update I was running 1:35 ~ 1:37 per lap. Total race time under 25 mins. After update I run 1:38 - 1:40 laps. Total race time is 25 to 26 mins.
@@MyKonaRC The 30 min Le Mans race is a long race and nearly everything I had/have set up for it dropped in pp allowing me to put in more power allowing them to run faster times than before. I do plan on trying my 900 builds as some went up and some went down.
Thanks for the build, so much better now. My suspension setup was all over the place 😅. Have to admit I am struggling somewhat with the brakes now. Though I had it sussed out, but every now and then I suddenly get caught out and end up losing control of the car, its not just this car but nearly all the cars that I use. I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong, but I will try to figure this out.
I done spa 800 1hr race my GTR GT500 '16 800pp build, had to adjust slightly but i swear its the SMOOTHEST it has ever felt on this new update. Same thing with several cars thru sardegna. Game feels a lot better with TCS off than before
I just love seeing everyone crash their Slammed/Stanced cars it's genuinely hilarious seeing them act confused about it, even had a guy thinking it was his controller being faulty 😅
Amazing build. Just ran a race with this setup and then hated the squirrily tail braking so I changed the differential braking sensitivity down to 10 (front) and 15 (rear) and ran a 2nd race. The car feels much more stable under heavy braking. Awesome build, this thing jets
Tried this tune and it is definitely great, Not much of a Subbie fan but I enjoyed it alot, I think the best part for me is the sound and quickness, Also its loads of fun for great scape photos, put the torque distribution to 20/80 in the rain and let it all hang out on the corners for great drifting photos in the rain. It's incredibly stable when it's sideways, guess that's to be expected considering it's a rally car
I’ve found that this LeMans race is always giving me the Clean Race Bonus, even though I repeatedly crash and spin out of the track. Has anybody else noticed this either??
this is true I have been using this race to get money for the last few weeks, even if I crash or get out of the track the clean race bonus is always be there. I even ignored yellow flags and all
Great video thanks for the hard work. Personally I love the new physics, it’s feels much much more realistic now and I get way way more detail out of my logi g923. The only complaint I have is that the Shelby cobra and Shelby gt350 are somewhat undeliverable I spend almost all of my time on the nordschleife and with either one of those cars you can’t really keep them on track. I think it’s because of the soft suspension and it may be related to the bug that everyone’s talking about. So hopefully when the patch comes out it will be fixed. Thanks again for the video it was great!
Thought your setup looked a bit neutral, just tried it and it's deffo not for me! Gonna have to do some tweaking because I can't get anywhere near enough rotation with your setup! Cheers for the video though
The silvia Qs with the engine swap is definitely my favorite for lemans bc its already faster than some cars at 800pp and it does 230mph easy on the straights but it only has 2 laps of fuel exactly
This was working for me, and was my go to for the WTC700 but either the cars been nerfed or AI cars have gotten way faster! You still win, but you don’t hit 1st place till end of lap 2 or 3, smart pit stops help you, if you see the the rain coming get your IM’s on and you’ll start to GAP AI cars by at least 1minute.
For this race I use the Group 3 Porsche on RH tires and simply detune it to just under 700pp running on fuel mix 3 and I never loose. Super simple as I’m not that great with custom builds. Great video that Subaru sure sounds like a beast 🤙
This was a scary one for me! Had 1% left just before hitting the pits. I really thought it’d run out. Think I need to work on my driving style a bit more to save fuel Great build though. Haven’t had an exciting lemans grind In months! Looking forward to trying out the grip build for other 700 events too along with us all figuring out new tunes for the handling. Personally I love the new physics. Even in replays you can see the body, chassis and wheels of cars move in a much more realistic way.
right, thats me spending the rest of the afternoon getting to grips with a scooby ahhh old happy times when i could actually afford insurance nice RS focus tho so cant complain
It’s not faster, it’s 30 minutes no matter what car/tune/strategy you use. I just did it with the Alphard, which was slow and slippery. I still finished in first, and just a second over 30 minutes. That said - I’ll try your tune, I came here for a Impreza tune anyway 😄 it likes the sauce though, I tried it stock and had to pit more than I’d like. The engine swapped BRZ drift car on the other hand; It does not want to drink fuel at all! It might be a bit understeery with a proper tune to be able to race it race it and not drift it, but I highly recommend you give it a try.
Meanwhile since i do it for money grinding only, I just set the ai difficulty on easy and win the lemans wtc700 with pretty much any car using the default setup with like a 1 to 2 minute lead by the end, You really don't need to tune racing cars for these races imo
Nothing new. But most of players achieve it with the Subaru WRX group 4 boosted to 550ps and a lot of rear ballast and rear downforce and thus without changing the game changing the player level. Very important is to buy intermediate tyres and to pit either when the tank is empty or when car is unsteerable because of the rain.
You can also save fuel by shifting up earlier (not letting the engine rev up all the way) and letting off the gas sooner before a corner and kind of just rolling into it.
@@matttondr9282 Thanks for that tip, I have been doing it if I'm running on fumes, but wasn't sure if it works. I've been rolling into the pit a few times.. 😂
Sucks that they removed the Peugeot 908 from being able to be at Le Mans on my previous build. Tuned down to 70% on power restriction and computer and on intermediate tires. Used to be 699 PP now it’s 720. Sucks. So easy to just not pit at all.
The most expensive audi from the dealer, dts something or other, has great power and handling, fuel mileage and tire wear. Raced spa 1 hour yesterday and won by three minutes.
Not only did they make they cars harder to tune but now some of them handle like that 1 shopping kart with the stuck wheel prime examples for me at the moment is the Gallardo if you brake coming into a turn that this just wants to spin and the other is the M3'97 (the 1 from this update) no matter what I've done to the suspension 1 wrong move of the steering and the car is unrecoverable from spinning unless you pack into the wall. Just tried for 3 hours to get that car to JUST WORK on le mans. I was able to make it turn corners but it goes from twitchy to unresponsive so fast Im about to plug in the racing wheel and see if it just my controller trolling me cause I dont remember the cars in this game being such a headache to get around a corner.
A PP raring difference of that amount, could be your wheels have different PP, did you choose the same aero parts? Did you throw on an extra performance part like different flywheel? At that PP I'd sat just drop the power limit to 99% or 98 you should definitely get under the limit then, and shouldn't affect its ability to win
Also I use the c6 zr1 tuned to 699 stock wheels on a med tire and I get 3 laps from fuel on 6 it and never have to replace tires I think it’s the best option for this grind at le man
I love these money methods it’s fun and gets me to my goals quicker appreciate the content you are providing for us . This saves me lots of time burning credits on low budget tracks. 👍
Neo-classical 800pp willow springs ai's can do 10 laps full bore, no pits. I can at best get 6th with 30+ sec behind the car in first with only 1 pit for tires. Is my game bugged or is this event just one of those was fair once but updates have made the ai just impossibly perfect
Le mans 700pp, the others are good if you can reliably avoid the other cars and avoid getting penalties, if you struggle with it then just do the le mans race, you'll get the bonus credits even if you spend all race smashing into the competitors or getting penalties.
Still waiting for the option to grind for money in any track... I love this game, but being stuck on 3 events to grind for money is no fun to me. Haven't played in a while now.
check all your challenge times too. they took off like 0.5-1.0 seconds to get gold. If you already have gold, you're fine. But if you haven't, its now alot harder to get gold. Really obnoxious imo.
That track is correct... however the best car that gives 3 laps before pit ..is the subaru 97 ..buy from classic shop ... I've got 700.000.000.. in my inventory ..most of that I got from the 24 hour le mons in the subaru..there is also an electric car the genesis from the south Korea shop ..that also does 3 laps before pit .. however it doesn't handle the track as good as the subaru.. with the subaru I can get 6 and a half laps before time runs out ..with the genesis I get just under 6 laps .. I've tried with many cars ..but those two seem to be the best...lol I have played 1400 hours over the last year
I would still rather grind out Sardegna with my CLK LM it holds the ground well i average a lap at 1.37.500 fastest lap I did was 1.34.700 With good tune on hard or medium tyres. I pit at lap 9 usually and then breeze tgrough the rest and one race is average of 25min 10sec for me personally i put thousand of miles on that track and that car
I see that you have your TC set at zero. I wonder how many people know that the TC affects your acceleration. I, for one, didn't know until a few days ago. I used 2 for my TC and just recently started improving my skills with a TC set to zero. That's when I noticed that my acceleration was a bit faster.
a someone that doesnt care about the meta. alot of cars feel like trash trash now. you can easily make the rear of some car jump, and they are no engine swaped, an the suspension has nothing weird. lemans cars are doing this kind of things.
Never mind the 38million credits earned/currently available! Wow! I’m still collector level 16 with 35 cars in the garage and working on international license A😂
I don't use a steering wheel and the new physic changes have made 80% of my cars more or less un usable epically the E30 M3 with the engine swap, use to be one of my favourite for ragging round the ring, it spins at slightest input n hits fence, even on straight. Tried sorting it out but lost patience after a bit.
I do too. Held a low pp lobby on norweide or however it's spelled, 450pp with comfort hard and medium tires, really good fun, had s.plissken put in some fast laps in honds beat, 1:17. Lots of racers. I watched a fair few drive and the cars no longer look like they're slot cars, but actually look like they're on the very edge of loosing control. Much better imo.
As a casual gamer, I don’t wanna say I hate this game. I hate every game that has the same approach as this game. Need money, GRIND!! Need money but no time to grind? BUY cards! Like bruh, I’m just tryna chill and have fun, already paid like what $50 and now I have to either grind or pay more so I can enjoy the game?
A honest breakdown 1. PP system has never truly been attempted to be fixed. Lazy things like disabling the suspension, gearbox ect. 2 basically they just softened the suspensions on all the cars which was a horrible idea and really lazy. 3 I’m enjoying the weight transfer and do believe it’s a step in the right direction. 4. Incomplete testing rally cars still do that weird thing when it lands. (Screen wise not physics) 5. Broken cars due to negligence of incomplete testing. 6 tuners were overlooked
