I only found out about this a few months ago! Totally flew under my radar. Great to see the dismal and tiny Lanyon Place replaced for the Dublin service (and probably many other services too). Roll on summer 2024!
Last time I was waiting for the Belfast Dublin train , The railway staff at Belfast were appalling, The lift were out of order, And the only man helping carry the bags of the passengers with disabilities,and helping them down the stairs was a security guard,A Blackman, while three railway workers checked tickets, Belfast train and bus station staff are the most unfriendly people,on the planet, now you will get both under the same roof, 🤔🙉🙈🙊🕊️🕊️
It will be equal to Heuston Station in Dublin which has been expanded from 5 to 8 platforms and had its concourse considerably enlarged. In addition Heuston has a Luas station on the same site. Belfast Grand Central Station will be streets ahead of Belfast Lanyon Place, but it would be hard for any station on the island to be ahead of Dublin Heuston.
