This is the final game in the Conquest Champion's League season 2! It's Jeremys Dale going up against Henry's Gondor. It the Green Dragon going up against the world champion (doubles). Who will win? Watch to find out
FUCKKK that was a tight game. Absolutely love seeing Dale hit the table top and especially Jeremy's dale, it's just so beautiful. Sad they didn't get the win but doesn't take away from an amazing game. Well done Henry. -Sean #justiceforDale
If Dale had gotten more shooting off in the early game do you reckon they'd have won it? The board made it a bit difficult to find good angles I know, but Jeremy seemed to have a decent line on the Boromir flank at the start but charged in anyway. Would you have played it the same way mate?
Best battle report so far Jacob, I thought it was going to be a walkover for Henry when Boromir was getting those heroic combats off on the right hand side. Well played to come back Jeremy, right down to the last dice. I would reallly like to see 700 points for next season, it gets some of your big hitter heroes in there and gives people more things to think about and consider, meaning potentially more variety of units.
I have a question, do you guys have some sort of gentleman's agreement to not use any magic users in your lists? It was also the case last season, pushing mighty heroes a lot. In my local scene there is ALWAYS a magic user arround so point intensive heroes are never worth it. Sadly.
It's hard to fit most magic users in at 500 points so thats probably a contributing factor but at recent tournaments in Australia there haven't been that many magic users on the top of the rankings
Magic doesn't really get much of a run out here in Aus. Shows up every now and then but there's definitely tournaments where no magic shows up at all. Recently we had a 1000pt event in QLD and there was a surprising amount of magic users. -Sean
I have been really enjoying watching the conquest of champions league, I have to say it is the most well put together MESBG battle reports I have come across! As for points suggestion of next time, I have been enjoying the current points quite a lot so I would suggest keeping it in the same area of around 500 points and see what new lists everyone is able to work with to topple the new champion.
I really dont like the actitude of the Gondor player, how he was steaming when the rolls where not in his favour around the 21 minute mark. It creates unnecesary tension, I almost clicked away from the video. Its one thing to blame yourself but its another to blame luck. Edit: From that point onwards he keeps bitching about his bad rolls, not realizing his opponent also fumbled some dice. I cant belive the Conquest Champion is someone who keeps steaming while playing, smh.
I've watched this video 4 times already, as i love this BatRep, 2 great players, 2 great armies, 1 great channel and what a game. Loved watching it. @jacob, you still do the best batreps of any youtuber, thanks for doing them.. But hats off to Henry, he was justified with Boromir and lance, despite what everyone said, well done. I bet he's now set a trend and we see it in games more. And Jeremy, can't wait to see you next year. Would love to see more players in the tournament, so we see more games, more faces and different army blends.
I love this battle reports! Learning new techniques, watching other people's miniatures very well painted and also learning new objectives for this battles that are not scenarios 👌 did this objectives come from the "matched play" book from Games Workshop? Where can I learn this different types of games/battles 🙂 thanks Jacob! I am loving Kingdom of Saxonia! 🙏
Thanks for the comment. This was domination which is one of the classic scenarios. You can find it in the Matched play guide book as well as the main large rulebook. I am glad you liked Kingdom of Saxonia! The next project is well underway now you'll get some teasers soon
450 points main list with 1 of 3 150 points additional lists. Normally with the boards that you all have played on I wouldn't recommend going too high. But the list alternative allows for players to make a list that can accommodate not only other boards but also other armies they may come against.
Our boards have a good amount of terrain for all levels if you do any less terrain the game becomes more 1 dimensional and shooting and cavalry armies start to dominate. I like the idea of having the 450 core and an adjustable 150 but for the Champions League I like each player having one list becuase it builds up more hype
I really like the flow of these smaller 500 point games. But i have to vote for a higher amount so we can see if Boromir with Lance is actually the better option in all cases 🙂
A really great and tight Match, was cheering for dale since boromir got me destroyed on a recent game hahaha. Keepin it between 500-600 points seems like a good idea, since makes games shorter, away from the usual big named heroes and a challenge for players to come up with lists out of their usual 800-1000 point lists. Thanks to you and the players for bringing this joyous championship.
Thanks for the report, amazing as usual! 650 could be a good format for the next championship, still lightweight but giving the possibility to put something juicier on the field
I absolutely love these battle reports. I really like how you’ve started even doing “mini shorts” on RU-vid. Throw us a terrain or 3D printing video once in awhile because you make those interesting as well.
I feel like Hold Ground would Have been a better option for Henry, Boromir could have Marched the army into the centre and then (oddly enough) held the ground
Hey everyone, what a thrilling finale! 🎉 I couldn't stop jumping with excitement throughout the entire episode. Jeremy, you had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I swear I was holding my breath until the very end! 🤞 I seriously can't wait for the next season. Does anyone know when it's planned to drop? I need to clear my schedule in advance. 😄 And speaking of the next season, how about we raise the stakes a bit? How about a 650-point limit for the next round? Let's make it even more intense! 💪 #NextLevelExcitement #TeamJeremy
Thanks for the comment! I am glad that you enjoyed it so much. The next season hasn't started yet. Conquest Creations has been going really well so we are planning on moving into a studio space in the next month or so. When we get moved in we will start on season 3! Next season will definitely have more points it will either be 650 or 750
In regards to your last question I always want to say 1000 points because I like a great army and having a great variety. But the problem is that the games take too long, so I would say 400 points for season 3. Season 1 and 2 was 500 points, right?
1000 points is big games. I recently played a 1000 point tourney and it was massive! Season 1 and 2 have both been 500 points so I think we are going to work our way up
@@ConquestCreations i would love to see army of thror, but to be fair, any dwarf would be cool. At 650, durin might be too pricey, so hopping for rangers and Mountain kings tbf😁 dain the blender is of course always welcome, but the defence of the North LL with mines and old man dain /lake Town would be awesome. Noy many of those batreps available. Summary: Kingdom of khazad dum is my gateway drug so have to admit i would love to see that😊
Great game, the only thing that was a bit unplesant to watch was henry complaining about the rolls in the later part of the video. Although it is understandably, that he is frustrated, because it was a very close game after all.
This series is what got me and my friends into MESBG and I have loved every episode. I think I’d like to see either another 500 point season or maybe up it to 750, but I feel like anything over becomes a bit of a grind in the gameplay.
Just loved the game!! Tight till the end. And what an awesome board. Just loved it. Keep on posting as many battle reports as you can. And for next season…. Would love to see 800 points. Bigger and more challenging…
Kickass game, kickass tournament. I have to point out that the archer fighting against Damrod was defending a doorway in the last round which means that the wounding roll actually should've just been the In the Way roll!
@@ConquestCreations Aye reckon that Jordy will bring him, that or give Rutabi another go but maybe bring Brórgîr instead of Armdur, though I would also love to see a Khand list in the next season as the chariots where my favourite part from season one
These lower point games are FAR more interesting and show off more technical finesse, and list building so it's not just bring all the big stuff blah blah. It's also far easier to get into to watch, especially on a lunch break etc due to it's shorter length. Too much larger and you'd have to truncate too much to make it fit the same timeframe.
Impressive to see such precise tactical movement. Not sure how fun that is all the time but certainly competitive! Shout out to Jeremy’s beautiful dale models too 👍🏼
Love the content, excellent battle reports. Would love to see some narrative scenarios, like the khazad dum fights from shadow and flame or helm's deep
It would be great if you had time to do a beginners video going through each phase in more detail and maybe giving some help into heroics or tactics. Overall absolutely loved this tournament, keep up the good work chaps 👍
maybe you could start at 500 points and escalate 100 points each round, so the final could be 800 points. This gives the players the oportunity to modify their armies and explain why are they modifying it
What a great game - both generals fought to the last! My heart was for Dale in the league and in this one. Congrats to Henry! Hope to see next season on 650 points though :). It's a perfect mid-size where you could fit some interesting stuff into the army lists but in the same time there won't be much room for 100 per cent cheese :)
I've been playing a lot of 650 recently and have been really enjoying it. You can bring whatever you want but still have to micromanage really carefully
This was intense. First I thought Minas Tirith got it with all the knights of Dale killed in the shooting, then the gondorian cavalry fell like flies. Up until the end I believed Dale is going to win. Well done Henry.
I'm only a few minutes in and guessing there was a gentlemans agreement on the ruins to be open as normally they'd be difficult terrain for cav? EDIT- After finishing the Video i must say the Osgiliath board was gorgeous and the perfect staging grounds for the final. Which in itself was a very close game and rounded off the end of Season 2! Thank you to Jeremy and Henry for making it a good old scrap
@@ConquestCreations Thanks for the clarification and it was just the first few minutes that i brain turned off and realised that the ruins being open encouraged a fun, yet competitive central brawl. In regards to the Season itself thank you and the rest of the players Jacob for bringing a fun, unique and competitive tournament into its second series. It's a good pick me up and thoroughly enjoyable.:)
650 points would be good! ( and Jeremy, please bring out your Mirkwood elves next season, they look awesome!, and it would be fun to see how you use them in-game)
@@ConquestCreations His Easterlings look great as well! But would be great if someone else brings Thranduil's Halls in that case; it's the only elf-faction missing so far. Great filming and editing, by the way! It's always easy to follow the action, and we get to see each player's miniatures clearly.
Jeremy might be my favorite MESBG painter I have ever seen. Jeremy, what would you call that style if I wanted to look up tutorials to try to up my painting game? Thanks in advance!
I’m not sure. They main thing that makes it my style is extreme contrast between light and dark on all surfaces and metallics painted with non metallic paint. At the moment I’ve been using a similar start to the ‘slap chop’ method with controlled layering on top.
He is amazing! He has a massive collection and its all to an incredible standard. You can find his Instagram here: instagram.com/jeremyhunthor/?hl=en A good starting point would be to learn to paint non metalic metals. There are heaps of tutorials on this
Wow that was such a tight game. I was so stressed!!! Glad to see the tin cans doing well. I think they can be over looked because they’ve been around so long but they’ve got some really great models! Where was the trebuchet though! Haha
The tin cans are great! Maybe not as sexy as some of the new models but still a very solid profile. Hahah no trebuchet's here we have respect for out fellow men
