I traveled highway 12 in my new Chrysler shortly after my wife had passed away. There was something magical about this road for me, I won't ever forget the journey. Beautiful drive, Powell Point is such a majestic butte, Utah has it all.
Hi, very nice video, I plan to go there next summer. Does your camcorder has shake reduction function? It seems that the spots on your front windshield are shaking while the landscape is relatively stable.
Thanks to your outstanding videos, myself and her indoors, have decided to do a months fly drive in USA and cover the Grand Circle. Thanks a lot. Greets from UK.
Her indoors is a slang term for the wife. Yes, it will be our first time. I have travelled all over Europe, 26 years as an international truck driver. What type of car would you recommend ? My wife says a Mustang convertible, but I've never been a Ford fan.
fred grove Are you planning of driving on unpaved roads too? There are a lot of those in the Grand Circle. These roads often lead you to some special scenery. For example, there is a 17-mile unpaved scenic road that goes around the Monument Valley. Make sure to get a taller, preferably 4-wheel-drive if you plant to drive on them. Otherwise, almost any type of car should work. I did this Grand Circle tour with a Kia Spectra (Honda Civic equivalent), which a small sedan, and had absolutely no problem.
Scenic Byway 12 is one of my favorite too! Have you traveled on Utah 95 before? Blanding, UT to Hanksville, UT It is a 100 miles long wonderful scenic too! Utah highway 14 is another beautiful place to visit(We went in May and there are a lot of snow on the mountain). It is by Cedar city, UT Keep up the good work!!
You are welcome. Me and my wife love road trip so much, we drove from Provo, Ut to SF, CA and back in 4 days. lol Idaho and Wyoming has some beautiful mountain road, highly recommended!
