The benches themselves look fine but what needs to happen is a plan for everyone that these benches are meant to deter. If Grand Rapids is all about community, why aren’t we giving to it?
@@gruttepier2491 they have huge bars in the middle... Benches don't have those... Armrests would be accommodating but we have metal bars...these are so people don't stay in one place for too long. Meant to be uncomfortable
Smart city's make no accommodations for the poor disabled elderly homeless what a shame. God Will judge those who shun the needy ( poor elderly homeless & disabled)
@@wakenow1Whatever. You are just waving those people around because you know you just want those benches to be more "friendly" to people that want to use them to sleep on, but are too cowardly to say it.
@@wakenow1 Yeah, ok. Suuuuuuuuure you did. "Overweight, elderly, or disabled" people couldn't give a toss about these benches, and wont have an issue using them like anyone else. So spare me the bullshite.
@@xandercruz900 we have hostile architecture here in Philadelphia and it most certainly doesn't accommodate anyone but fit people and only for a short while as it's extremely uncomfortable with absolutely zero contour. It's all jagged edges and flat. As an athlete, I certainly do not like this type of public architecture. Do some research.
there are youtube videos on these hostile architecture on unfriendly benchs, grates over steam, etc, these are the same benches that caused Ryan Carson a ny activist to trip over due to the design and get stabbed while trying to run away
