Grand Seiko's 4K Quartz 

I think its a great watch but so many are put off because of it being quartz

The 9F is a impressive movement and I really like it but its a shame about its 3 year battery life , I have a Sinn UX which I've found keeps around 7s a year and that has a 7/9 year battery life, even my Seiko which is also good for 10s year is still running just coming on for 6 years . If your into cool quartz watches the Citizen Chronomaster is amazing and rated even more accurate than the 9f and well worth checking out Woody

I have a cheap timex that does 1 sec a month. Most quartz watches keep good time. The GS is lovely though

@@RichardsModellingAdventures I did a video a year or two back with a group of quartz models and some were 5s plus a month out which is still pretty good 👍🏻

@@ClickSpringReview I'll have a look. Lets face it give or take a few mins is fine for any watch. If people ask the time we all say "half past, ten to, quarter past" etc. We basically round up or down to the nearest 5 mins

Bulova do a better movement in watches for €500 and they have a sweeping smooth hand in their quartz

Its a shame as I believe there are always deals to be had when it comes to GS and the RRP is only the starting bid but no dealer can ever say that , 2500 as you say would be a no brainer and for that price I would maybe get one myself Sean

Yeah GS does let itself down with there poor clasps , which is a shame as the watch I think is stunning

I own both and the Sinn isn't remotely on the same level.

They do pop up on the used market now and then for more affordable prices sir 👍🏻

I think you mean the SBGN027 John . The Blue model is 1mm bigger and has a ceramic bezel plus also has a 20mm bracelet vs 19mm of the black and white one has , All the hour markers lumed to on the blue were as they are not on other 👍🏻

@@ClickSpringReview Thanks! Yes exactly, I think I prefer that one to this blue, 39mm is such a great size, I have a Tudor Ranger 39mm which I love, and its also simpler somehow.

I have a few models around 38.5 and 39mm myself for my 7.25inch wrist its spot on

I don't mind it being the way it is as this is a true quartz and not a spring drive

Honestly David the second hand hit the min track prefectly it must be the camera angle

Its an completely different type of movement from the Bulova Keith

@@ClickSpringReview I get that but I would much prefer the bulovas smooth sweeping seconds hand which is still very accurate to 5 seconds a month. Can get that movement in the new Jetstar for €270. So what are you really paying £4,000 for?

5 sec a month isn't great Keith the GS does that a year , I'm not saying the Bulova isn't a good watch, I do like a few of there models , The 9F movement is a beautiful and is fully service able were as the Bulova (Citizen) P102 isn't you just bin it and fit a new one. If you want a sweeping second hand you can go for a Spring Drive model as that is even smoother than the Bulova .Grand Seiko wanted the 9F to a have a perfectly stop dead hand with out any bounce to it at all which is harder than you imagine it would be.

@@ClickSpringReview the GS quartz is nothing special Citizen Chronomaster is more accurate at less than half the price. The bulova is 5 seconds a month that's a minute a year how is that "not great" ? Quartz don't need regular service anyhow like a mechanical watch does. All i'm saying is it's a lot of money for a quartz. Imo should be around the £2000-£2,500 mark giving it's a GS and the level of finishing that goes with that.

@@keefw361 I have two quartz models a Sinn UX which runs approximately 9s a year and Seiko Tuna which does around 11s a year , thats why I say 60s isn't great Keith. As for the price I do agree but I'd say 2.5/3k normally there is always a deal though , The Citizen Chronomaster is a great watch I really like it but unfortunately it carries zero name to it and so will never be a big seller, most people will think its a 100 dollar watch and once you have to explain way its a cool watch it ceases to become one . PS sometimes will have quartz models come in for a service

It is a super watch if it cost less I would get one myself
