Grand Seiko vs Rolex GMT - Batman and SBGE257 

This watch has been an absolute beauty. After wearing it for a few days, a lot more thoughts to share. I’ll try to post a “Week on the Wrist” review sometime soon.

Stunning! That's a hell of a lot of watch for less than half (maybe a third?) of what the Rolex goes for now.

Thanks for the vid and very nice comparison between the sizes. But just a suggestion probably you may wish to wear the watch higher above the wrist bone so that the crown would not poke ?

Thanks for the video. It’s good to see it side by side with its competitors, but In my opinion the Grand Seiko is the most attractive of your watches.

Same here I’ve been waiting for a good spring drive one But the energy indicator for the last version just cools me down This second spring drive is much better But still too thick and the bracelet needs to be redesigned with GS spirit instead copy other brand Also need to have some adjustment on it This one is good but so far Rolex is still ahead of Gs But the above just my preference The watch looks perfect on you Congrats on the new watch and it’s a good looking one Enjoy~

having a listen to you I undemand that you are from Europe, and you say you deal with Indian clients so a GMT watch really helps to keep the time, but can you pls tell me how you adjust your GMT to Indian time , mind you there is a tricky half an hour in Indian time zone.

You have an amazing collection of watches. You need to invest in a leather desk pad though it will save the straps on those beauties from a million micro scratches.

How would you compare the bracelet build quality in comparison to the Rolexs'? Minus the clasp. It's fair to assume that is superior on the Rolex

tbh rotating bezel on a gmt watch is not needed, especially on this where you also have numbers on the chapter ring. 3rd timezone tracking using a rotating bezel isnt practical anyway, it's a pain. Hell, the explorer 2 doesn't have a rotating bezel either.

No comparison… GS ALL DAY !

As much as I like the finishing on GS I cannot stand a sport watch over 13mm thick... let alone 14.7, no matter how they camouflage it with case design/bevelling/lug curving etc. A chunky watch is a chunky watch.

What size is your wrist?

Just goes to show that 36mm is the right size for most guys and not 40mm+

Fixed bezel is a bomber. Doesn’t make any sense, why would you print 24 hours marks inside the watch and on a bezel and then make it fixed, like wtf? 🤷‍♂️😡🤬

The GS makes the Rolex looks old and outdated.
