it reminds me of times that will never come back, that i missed certain opportunities that i will never have but also when I was a kid my biggest worry was that if all homework will be done by the next day and what game will i play next, i don't know...it's just nostalgic but in a special way and here i am, 26 years old, forever alone, keeping myself alive because of work, gym and some games
@@RookerVision seriously dude I appreciate the effort you put in your videos and it pays off. My favourite video of yours is the latest side by side, GTA San Andreas.
The Xbox version was the only version to feature the higher quality vehicle models also. Pay attention to the trims, wheels and textures on the Kuruma for example.
Not impractical. It was probably there for those used to older GTA games. And it also helped performance, especially if you didn't have a T&L graphics card.
Xbox version will always be the definitive version for the me. Those custom soundtracks and enhanced graphics really do make it a whole other game. Quite a significant boost over the PS2. Probably one of the better examples of showing why and how, multi-format 3rd party titles looked, and played better on the underappreciated Xbox.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos Hello, can you compare all the ports of both GTA Vice City & San Andreas & give your verdict on which is the best port for the respected game?
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos I'm not sure whether to buy the original Xbox, Xbox 360, or PS4 version of San Andreas. Obviously PC always wins, but hat would you choose for the console version? Also, is the likes of Max Payne 2 & 3 on the cards?
@Paul Bell yep gotta let em know the truth haha! It's my passion playing on the old gen consoles. 6th gen being the best ever. Ps2, Xbox, gamecube, good times. Altho I grew up on nintendo my older brother was playstation and Sega so I got the best of both worlds. Im no fan boy of any system but I will tell you with facts about gaming and the benefits of each console. Now there are a lot of Xbox boys that just say fuck ps2 because they don't know shit and don't play on different hardwares.
Ah my first GTA and sandbox game. I always heard about the Xbox versions of this, Vice City, and San Andreas being very different graphically. I remember someone told me that San Andreas had an effect where blood could get on your arms and what not on Xbox. Little added details like that are always a nice touch. Anyway another great comparison RookerVision! Hope to see the other GTA games down the road.
I just love all of your videos man. Your comparisons are the best around. Not only do you get most versions of the game but you stop and point out the differences in each one. It's amazing. Just picked up gta 3 and vice city on the Xbox really cheap. Brilliant games. Love your videos and can't wait till the next one
Youssef Mohamed it wasn entirely nostalgia, there were the emergency vehicle missions. You can always rely on the banshee in the dealership, hidden packages hidden weapons health armor. So many things that I loved about the game are just gone from GTA 5, not that nostalgia is clouding me
Adam Davidson I do agree on the police and ambulance side missions even though taxi & property missions in GTA 5 are pretty dope but it was cool driving around as if you are the police chasing down criminals when you are one yourself and driving as the ambulance running over more people than actually saving, but In the hidden stuff part i personally think gta5 has way cooler and more complex hidden easter eggs no doubt, even though killing with the chainsaw was really fun XD (not sure if the chainsaw was in GTA 3 or vice city though). The only thing I'm 100% sure was better in GTA 3 ,vice city and SA was the cheats, but overall I prefer GTA 5
+Youssef Mohamed Why the fck are you defending Rockstars greed? GTA V is fucking inferior to even GTA IV in terms of details and overall campaign quality. The AI in GTA V is also extremely lackcluster and shit, the driving was simplified so much, GTA IV had way more complex driving including destruction model which they simplified in GTA V for no reasons. GTA IV also has better gun combat with proper bullet physics which was AGAIN streamlined in GTA V. Your argument is flawed because you never looked at the games content wise and features. And yes I did actually have MORE fun in San Andreas than GTA V, the game just lacks replayability and the multiplayer is awful, we told Rockstar what we wanted in the next GTA game they did not listen in fact they just did all the opposite, GTA IV multiplayer was great fun because it had no limitation like the V did. Also where did vehicle missions go in GTA IV and V? Again, Rockstar cuts content for no apparent reasons, stop supporting their greed, they are not bad games but they could been better specially for the price tag they charged for it brand new.
Still my favourite edition of the game followed closely by 2004's San Andreas. The HD games traded in replay value and fun factor for realism - sucking the life out of the series in the process.
I own the early North American *DMA Design* version its a little harder to find then most copys (my guess is because of the likely modest print run of this copy).
Great video, bro. I'm a loyal Xbox player, but I played GTA III on PC for the first time, and I had a pretty good PC, then I played on Xbox, and I still prefer PC version, that version was kinda easy for me.
You were missing on one detail. In the PS2 version you can see reflections of lights on the streets when it rains. This effect is abscent in the Xbox version.
@@iancruz6617 what do you mean? In the PS 2 Version you can see the reflections of traffic lights, car lights and street lights. Don't know if the pc version has that. But definitely not the Xbox version.
Just search for GTA 3 ps2 rain. Don't know why, but there is a video of the ps2 version for night rain atmosphere. There you can see those glorious reflections.
I was shocked to see a detail in GTA 3 Near Staunton island safehouse, there will be water sprinkled(from AC) on the floor, if u walk in it, u will get the sound of splashing water and cars will struggle(a little) to move in that place Not to mention about good reflections✌️
never noticed low draw distance on XBOX. still XBOX version looks and runs best but I still love PS2 version more because I played it first and it feels more nostalgic for me.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos what happend to your videos its coooooooooooooooooooool or you dead do side by side every day you rock and pls do risdent evil 4
I wasn't even aware of any graphical updates when I picked up the Xbox version a few years ago. Totally blown away. It's the true way to play the game. That said, the way the camera rotates when beating someone with fists/bat is kinda annoying, so the modded PC version is def the way to go in the end. Plus, gunsgunsguns for all your home defense needs.
Grab the GTA3 Essential Fixes + Xbox Revision Pack from a Steam Guide. After this you have pretty much the best modded version, while staying true to the original and not changing anything beside of adding HD support, XBOX enhancements and some graphic enhancements.
The comparisons of this dude actually focus on the key differences. Not simply a side-by-side gameplay to let viewers figure out what the differences are. As Borat would say: I LAIK
Eh, not exactly. I was born around the time GTA 3 released, and infact owned a PS2 back when i was 7, and take a wild guess at what my 2 favorite games were, Gta 3, and Gta Vice city. Also, i shortly got Gta 4 right after, but it never gave me the fun it was to play as a mute asshole or some scarface like badass from miami.
I've had GTA III since I was five and now I'm twelve. I play this game like everyday just to collect hidden packages or have fun with the weapons cheats.
PS2 is the best version without a doubt. It had way more features because of the renderware engine was at it's best at the PS2 release. They couldn't port it to pc or something and therefore they had to do some rework on things for pc, also the ps2 had the original car colours without the chrome around it wich make the cars stand out a bit more. they also had some issues with Vice City and San Andreas on pc and those were more broken then GTA 3 is on pc. All 3 games 3D era are the best on PS2.
Minor detail. I always preferred Claudes original PS2 jogging animation. Something about the Xbox, PC, and 10 year anniversary jogging animation always looked strange to me
Just got GTA 3 on my Xbox. I love the PS2 copy, but i felt like getting a GTA double pack on Amazon. The seller even gave me an unopened copy of Vice city!
I'm curious why you think the Xbox version is superior to a fully and properly modded PC version? I didn't replay this on PC yet other than modding it and testing it one day... but in the video it clearly looks like the modded PC is the best option.
∞Phantasm It looks like the vanilla PC version is a port of the PS2 version with a few enhancements done in the year between releases. The Xbox version, however, came out a year after the PC version and two after the PS2; they could've easily enhanced the graphics over what they put in the PC version. Back then, there _were_ a lot of games that looked better on console. It wasn't like today.
***** Yes, I know that and I owned all 3 versions. It's irrelevant to the question though, because there are mods that bring over the Xbox enhancements to the PC version, as explained in the video. My question was what makes the Xbox version better than a properly modded PC version (with all the Xbox enhancements and Ginput Xinput controller support)? Also it's worth noting, the Xbox version cannot be rendered higher than 720p, while the PC version can display any resolution.
I don't know why, but GTA III & Vice City will always be my favourite ones. Its just the vibe of the game. San Andreas was great, but felt somehow empty.
Can you do Pirates The Legend of Black Kat? great game nobody talks about it, there is a ps2 and xbox version very different graphics wise… i think it also plays in xbox 360 thank you
