Literally just found someone giving one of these away for free on the side of the curb, it’s always been something I wanted and loved the regality of. Everything seems to be in great condition too, I’m so excited to clean it up and get it working. Can’t figure out the exact model but it’s by Ridgeway
I love grandfather clocks, they remind me so much of older times. My best friend Tommy, his grandparents owned one of these, just hearing it tick instantly reminds me of bygone times...the smells, taste, even some visions of what I think are better times...but only cause I knew so little and was far more innocent.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Zayd Julian Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Me too, and I finally got one. If you pay attention to FB marketplace or your local classified ads, it is amazing what price people are willing to sell them. In some instances, practically giving them away.
I have a watch with the same description, but this is very old, but there is no heart case. The clock from 1890 is older than this year of manufacture.
What kind of sick maniac are you that you find a video about grandfather clocks, that does not enumerate the name of the song, and also does not feature the clock sounding.... satisfying. May god have mercy on your soul.... because you sir... disgust me
Tinytoons Offical I didn’t know that some companies still produced longcase clocks. That’s nice. And they are beautiful. The antique longcase clocks are of course also beautiful.
Yeah today in Forest Hills I found a grandfather clock built already I think they built to last year because I didn’t want to see it I saw it and it looks like the grandfather clock
Imagine working at a clock factory 😂😂 I bet you'd be drove mad after awhile hearing "ding dong ding dong" every hour for eight hours every single day going off by thousands of clocks. As mad as a clock maker 😂🤦🤷
Local store? General store? Anyways, online you can get them, if you want a genuine antique clock look for used ones. Or clock shop. You can go to a thrift store and they might have one for a cheap good price and it most likely will work! Or an antique shop.
Modern crap. This is nothing how Longcase (grandfather clocks) were made when they were most popular in the 1700 & 1800 hundreds. One more thing this crap won't be around in 200 years time they will all have been worn out.
Say that to the cheaper battery powered Quartz grandfather clocks made by Sinix and Daniel Dakota. _These_ are the cheap ones. At least Howard Miller’s clocks with their mechanical movements and real wood cases still have some degree of quality compared to the electrical components, fake pendulums and weights, and particle board cases of the others I mentioned earlier, despite being modern and mass-produced.
Dislike the chime!.... Trust me its really annoyed when its around 2__3 o clock and its hit the chime...and make evryone awake!...lol Better dont wind the chime!...😁👍
