1945 Army Folding Shovel Restoration
I found this shovel at the largest army flea market in Germany. It's a Yugoslavia-made shovel, produced in 1945. The man who sold it to me was a veteran who received it as part of his equipment. After being covered in rust, I decided to give it a fresh coat of paint. Now, it's patiently waiting for the time when it will be put to use in my yard, eagerly awaiting its handle. This shovel was in quite a state when I got it-very rusty with its moving parts stuck. If you enjoyed this restoration, please consider sharing it with others and giving it a thumbs up. I upload a new video every week, sometimes even two if I find the time. So, if you'd like to see more, don't forget to subscribe!

Disclaimer: I want to emphasize that I am not a professional. Everything you see here is the result of self-teaching, trial, and error. I value any feedback, advice, constructive criticism, or suggestions you may have.
Important: Since I don't have a lot of equipment for this work, and it does take up some of my time, but I don't see it as time-consuming. Instead, it's a calming activity for me after a hard day's work-I simply enjoy these kinds of things. Any donation would mean a lot to me. Anyone who donates can choose the next item and provide a suggestion that I'll mention in upcoming videos. Thank you.

26 minutes of using the most inappropriate tools possible, can’t wait to see part 2 when you hatchet a handle together.

Yeah... I was wondering why he didn't go to a wire brush early. Decided maybe it was "too harsh" when I saw the tiny brush but then he hits the rivent with a grinder and screwed up the collar. This is just an attempt at views not honest restoration attempt.

Thank you for your suggestion, but using toilet bowl acid (hydrochloric acid) is not safe and can cause damage. We recommend using safer and more appropriate cleaning products for your needs. :)

сколько потрачено сил ,времени и материала,чтобы восстановить этот хлам

It does take a lot of time, but materials like these are unique; they date back to the time of the Second World War, and materials like these are no longer made today as they were before, they're not of the same quality. But thank you for your comment. :)
