Grandma Gatewood (Portrayed by Anne Van Curen): A Special Event by The Appalachian Trail Museum 

Thanks to Grandma's journals she kept, we can choose to either call her a liar, or let our jaws drop as we consider how she came through this journey in the early days of hiking the AT. Her attitude and manner can teach ALL of us a lot. Grandma expresses herself without four-letter words, hiked without drugs, and set an elevated example for all hikers. Her life's foundation marvelously prepared her for these adventures.

I grew up where Grandma Gatewood lived. She was a local legend. She looks so much like her it was a case of deja vu.
