i see a black grandma , i click , im a simple man , hearing grandmas talk makes me feel mad cozy , also shoutout to grandma rocking that purple hair lol
A lot of good advice. Especially not allowing others to put their hands in your hair. When my hair was bra length, I was amazed at the number of people who thought they could just touch my hair. That is rude and I don't know where your hands have been (or the energy you are transferring)!
Yes, very interesting how hands feel so welcomed 😂. I wouldn’t even feel comfortable walking up to people just to touch their hair, that’s not my personality I guess 🤷🏽♀️
Simplicity is the best treatment. Keep your hair clean and moisturized. Also, drink plenty of water and watch your roots grow. This Granny belongs to all of us now! Just love her!
My Nanes are no longer here 😔 I just cut my waistlength locs today for chemotherapy. They had growing hands and I have never had to do my hair myself in my 42 years. Your grandmother is a blessing and so knowledgeable. This video is right on time. Let me go buy this lemon fluff...
Turmeric, the culinary spice, ERADICATES cancer cells RAPIDLY. There are many cures for cancer in nature. See Chris Beat Cancer (youtube). Also classic book Back to Eden by Jethro Kloss. Cancer simply cannot survive in an alkaline body. Be healed. Be blessed. RU-vid just recommended this video 2 me out of nowhere.
I’m so glad this video was right on time for you and that you were blessed by it, and most of all prayers for you through this process. May God be with you and give you strength and peace in Jesus name. Thank you for sharing 💜🙏🏾.
They Sure Are Lost My Last Grandmother in 2019(I Am 57) But I Grew Up with 3 Generation of Grandmother's on my Maternal Side. Had my Maternal Grandparents Until I was in My Late 40's and Had A Very Loving Step- Grandmother So I Had A Plethora of Grandmothers. That Wealth of Knowledge, Love, Abundance, and Common Sense We Get From These Queens Is Priceless!!
1st I must commend you for your how you honor your grandmother, you didnt rush her in speaking too people, I love that purple in her hair ,it reminds me of how my aunt use put blueing in her hair, also my mom &older ladies always said never have anyone in your h ssd ir expect someone you trust.my mom did hair &she always washed her hand before touching anyone else hair.,she use a old stocking over the hairbrush so save on cleaning brush &say it let u see how much gunk builds up on hair.
My great-great grandmother had hair all the way down her back to the waist and only used water and Vaseline for products 😅...I wonder if I could pull off the same lol
Just ordered my lemon fluff from Amazon! Please, ask your grandmother to do a hair pressing demonstration for us. I remember those good back in the day presses. it really requires an old-school technique. Blessings and overflow to your grandmother and thank her for sharing her wisdom.
I agree with your Grandma's advice. I wash my hair 1-2 x/ week with Nexxus shampoo, condition and I do a wash and go with S-curl curl activator and gel. Let me tell you, my hair has never been so thick a lush since being natural. I have found the old school products work SO much better than the "natural" products.
Tell your Grandma thanks for the tips. She spoke of many of the things that my mom and beautician did to my hair back in the day. Now I use many of these same principles with my girls hair. There are a few more that I will start incorporating though :-)
Girl your grammie is too adorable. When she said dont “fiddle “ with your hair i felt that!! My grandma uses the same terminology. #itstheGrandmas4me 😊
Definitely. I figured that out a few yrs ago. Just like a flower. Flowers die in dry soil. The scalp needs to be watered. I have a theory thats one reason white ppl grow hair fast. They wash their hair everyday.
This made me miss my Bigmama so much. I used to love listening to her talk to me about love and God and relationships. Thank you for sharing your granny with us sis!
@@Dirtnap1986 I literally thought about the curl versus relaxer. Def better for black hair...I had a leisure curl and the product was light. I used no spray. It was beautiful and I had a body wave not that tight curl...🤷🏾♀️
Even though I seen this almost a year later. This is flat out the best natural haircare how to video, EVER! I love your grandma. I miss mine so much. Watching this brung back memories of her doing some of those things to my hair and how healthy and long, then. So now I'm going to make an appointment and go back to my roots🙏❤✌
Our younger children and some of the older ones also need to sit at the feet of Grandmas like you and me. Three generations have missed this kind of teaching. From one Grandma to another thanks for sharing your wisdom and blessing all of us with your wealth of knowledge.
Please bring your grandmother back on we have so many questions; please tell us a good moisturizer. And tell us how to apply mayo & eggs, which part of eggs. Thank you
Wow! Looove her. Love you relationship with her. Soo much respect; as it should be...Sooo much knowledge, though.! And so explicit! TY so much for sharing. Did she say "lemon fluff"? And I gonna tell everyone, my Grandma said don't put your hands in my hair! Lol. Thanks, again. God Bless
Adrienne Yt 22 aww thank you so much!! She’s excited to share her knowledge on helping others achieve their goals for healthy hair 🥰. And yes, 😂 “grandma said keep those hands off” hahaha 😆 God bless you too, thank you 🙏🏾
Your grandma is the reason I subscribed to you! Thank you for lending her to us, sharing her really, and making her our Grandma of hair care!! Be well.
Your Grandmother is absolutely lovely! Please thank her for sharing her time & wisdom w/us. You're very blessed to have your Grandmother..appreciate & love her!! God bless you BOTH
I really enjoyed all the glorious wisdom that was shared in this video. Treasure every single moment with your beautiful grandmother 💜 As time moves forward we forget about the simplicity of the way mother and grandmother took care of themselves and us. I miss my Nana so much 🌹This was the best video ever so heart warming ❤️
Yes, a young girl braided my hair a d I didn’t know she had a fungus that took forever to get rid of! I never allow anyone to touch nor use any of my hair products. Also, there are salons that is spreading fungus
@@CottonKia what I did not say due to being on the cellphone. That type of fungus is unrecognizable and it is common in the black community. Its very rare we get lice but there's a fungus that looks like a case of bad dandruff. A black doctor was the one to tell us because it kept coming back and I have had never had a dandruff problem before. If not treated correctly it can cause alopecia, which one of the girls ended up with. A fungus thrives in thick warm, oily scalps that developed from not washing it enough or someone else passed it along. It is sort of like a yeast or ringworm in your head. Yes, I am obsessed with this because I was confused and I use to do hair shows but do some of hair falling out in the front of my head, I could not continue. Please know, it can get into your fingernails, combs, brushes, clippers and so on. After every use of hair utensils, they need to be soaked in barbicide, something a lot of salons do not practice. One more thing, there was a black hair salon in Arizona that did not look very clean and the owner looked out of it. I warned my mother-in-law about going there and she went anyway and days later, her scalp was on fire and very itchy. It had taken forever for to listen to me and she suffered longer than she should have. USE THE MEDICATED SELSUN BLUE, throw away all your utensils and get new ones.
@@collab4042 😫😫😫 This is so true. I think I was suffering with this for 18 months. I didn't know wtf was going on. My Wonder Bread dermatologist couldn't figure it out either. My bestie came thru with an anti fungal scalp oil and it cleared up asap.
@@RexLarrieux Yes. That thing is hard to get rid of. Medicated Selsun and throwing out the brushes to get new ones were the key. My family don't understand why I do not share my brushes and combs.
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed listening to your grandmother. Actually I played this video twice because her voice and the energy between you two is so beautiful. I miss my grandmother so much. Again thank you. Bless you both.
Go ahead Grand Ma giving us these golden nuggets to get our hair growing and granny is styling that blue in the hair go on with your bad self Grand Ma lol 🙂❤😆💯🙏
Your Grandma reminds me of my My Mother all day !, Love her she really helped me feel better and understand I'm on the right track with my hair so Thank you !
Great advice! Your grandma gave common sense advice that we all need to remind ourselves and she did it in a calm, non critical way. Kudos to your grandma!
Yes grandma, I am so glad you said about moisture. I have length because I learned this early. Plus washing and air drying once a week. I learned from my grandma all these rules also, I'm glad you were willing to share because many don't have a grand to inform and show. Both of you be exceedingly blessed.
I just love your Grandma, very smart woman! She clarified a lot of things for me as I struggle with maintaining moisturized hair but a clean scalp. As I have been washing/detoxing my scalp my hair grows. Just don't let the hair be dry, moisten as needed, ty! Also thanks for the tip on Lemon Fluff!💛
Yesssss grandma come through with that good knowledge!!! She is absolutely right y'all better listen!! I have those same general practices and my hair is down my back!!
