are we gonna mention the psychological effects of this sacrifice on the daughter? like dying for the baby is not the way to go to make up for your mistakes. she clearly loves her mother and the fact that she is alive and with her family is all that should matter. why cause further trauma?

@safiremorningstar
@safiremorningstar 15 дней назад
No, considering they could remove the child at between 30 to 33 weeks and the child would be pretty much OK the lungs would’ve been developed enough that the baby could survive out of the womb. They probably would not leave it for longer because they wouldn’t be no point in it once the child is viable outside they take it in 28 weeks. Technically the child is technically viable. You want at least another week possibly two because of the fact that some babies do not have their allLeung’s fully operational at that point I’m sorry I use voice to text. I cannot correct the mistakes it’s making nor can I fix punctuation that it does wrong. I don’t have the use of my fingers.

There is less than 10 % chance at 22 weeks to survive and they can have severe problems from being born too early. At 24 weeks the chances of survival are 40 to 70 %. I would also think a baby that small would need specialized care that not all hospitals can provide.
@bevybaby1587
@bevybaby1587 2 года назад
Those cases you are referring to are PRETTY rare. Of course, there have been Babys born that far along on the pregnancy and survived but their chances are pretty low. @TheYasmineFlower
@TheYasmineFlower 2 года назад
Just because some foetuses can survive birth at 21 weeks or even 20 weeks doesn't mean that all can - AND, it doesn't mean that being born that early is a good thing. Premature birth can have severe consequences for the child on all levels. Birth before 24 weeks gestation, the chance of survival is less than 50%. The survival rate at 24 weeks is 60-70%. But that means you have a 30-40% chance of death, either at birth or afterwards. Premature birth is not something simple or easy to get through. It is devastating for most people who go through it.

Tbf injecting significant local anesthetic intravenously is very concerning. The few real world attempts have found asystole is more common than successful cardioversion.

@Catitalaratoncita

It seems as if the mother was the one being neglectful and selfish first. She is now changed and trying to give back to her daughter, but we must understand her daughter situation as well. And the daughter even wanted to prioritise the mother before her child.

Nah, this ain't it and the grandmother is wrong. Her daughter finally had a chance to have *a mother* and she was going to take that away from her again. To me that was just an easy way out: sacrifice herself to absolution by dying for her daughter's baby to live. The fact that "everything worked out" was just the unrealistic tv drama happy ending.

you do know they separate the egg cells from the daughter, fertilized it with the sperm in the lab then put it inside the mother, right? Basically the mother is the tube that holds the embryo until it grows to a baby. No Incest.

You know humanity is fuc**Ed up when this happens. Why don't people accept that not all people meant to have children?.why do you have to go through these extreme complicated measures to have a child?.. I know it is hard but you have to live with it.
@Jemini4228
@Jemini4228 Год назад
Not to mention the amount of children that need adoptive homes. Including the ones who were brought into the world via surrogacy but were rejected by the birth parents when they didn't turn out how they wanted. There was a couple from China who went through loads of rounds of IVF only to put the twins up for adoption when they turned out to be girls. In that case there seems to be a good reason for infertility.

Don't blame your mom for that. She obviously have her reasons. You guys are adults and responsible for yourself. Look into why you guys lost your house. What caused and led up to that. I'm sure one of you is the reason, so why resent your mom? Is your fiance always kind to your mom?
@MsPeabody1231
@MsPeabody1231 Год назад
You are both adults who should be able to support yourselves. Your mum doesn't owe either of you a place to live. You forget your fiance isn't her blood relation and as you are not yet married not even your spouse.

28 weeks gestation is not uncommon for some cream at least in this day. I don’t know how old stupid show is and frankly this show really gets on my nerves because some of its medical stuff is so out of date it’s not even worth going to the proof of this pudding is what they use for. Shocking the patient. Those are paddles that Haven’t been used in a medical facility since the very early 90s I mean one or two places I’ve seen them using those particular type of paddles but their back up because they had a problem let’s persuade their regular paddles apparently were being fixed and these were considered an emergency back up pair, but usually they have more than one. It’s just in this particular place. It was a retirement home. they did not happen to have the modern newer stuff but in a hospital, I’d expect them to have the stuff here in Israel most places, including malls and certain restaurants have defibrillators And they don’t look anything like that big clunky stuff you see on these shows and yes, they do the job and they can be raised high enough to do the job just in case you’re wondering at one point I was almost tempted to add to my medical equipment that I carry with me One, but I realized I would not have enough money for other things that I needed for that month, so I didn’t buy it tempted, though very strongly tempted… it’s funny in my day when I was learning to be an EMT, which is 40 years ago we weren’t even allowed to use defibrillators and now in first aid stations at least in Israel. They teach how to use defibrillators among other things and the new Fangle defibrillators our lightweight and they don’t even look like what you see on the television that’s how different they are I mean maybe they’re closer to what you see on science fiction shows like Star Trek next generation then they are the ones you see on television, especially this show… how much science has come forward I just hope things don’t go backwards as much as they go forward they have a habit of doing that.
