One of Grant's last major projects is his animatronic "Baby Yoda," a collaboration with prop artisan Lauren Markland and costumer Lindsay Hamilton. Lauren explains to Adam Savage how she and Grant built this "happiness maker" (in just three months!), as well as Grant's intentions behind his Grogu replica's ultimate use.

He was such a nice person and a great man. Never heard a single nasty thing said about him in the media. None of the Mythbuster’s for that matter. But it’s just another example of how much we need to really treasure our lives and our friends, anyone of us can be gone any minute or day. RIP A neighbor of mine lost his wife a month or so ago, just tragic, she was only 28. I don’t know what happened, I didn’t ask him it’s not my business, he could tell me himself if he wanted to. I just told him how sad and sorry I was and I and we my other cool neighbors had his back and not to hesitate to ask for help. She was a sweet, beautiful and kind young lady, such a shame.

Mythbusters -- and ESPECIALLY Grant (cuz I'm a robotics nerd) -- inspired me to dare mighty things, to be curious, and to keep learning and creating through my life. Thank you to Adam, Jamie, Kari, Grant, Tory, and Scottie, and everyone else behind the scenes, for helping to inspire me to become who I am today. You helped to change my life.

The quote at 9:10 _"Even if you don't have confidence, believe in yourself - because somebody else does, and the people who care about you will believe in you no matter what."_ is SUCH an impactful message. Even if things don't turn out how you imagine, everything you do is always a step along the way towards realization of what you want to do. It's especially true when the work you do is something that you love and it's a part of making someone else smile or making the world a kinder place. I didn't follow Grant Imahara after Mythbusters, although it was certainly shocking when he passed, especially at his age. But the fact that he was working on this amazing piece, with the sole intent to bring it to children's hospitals? That just tells me we lost another wonderful man with a good heart. I am sure not a day goes by without someone feeling the hole he left behind

I'm simply just a kid, who is now an adult, mostly grown now, but even still the show brought science and technology to many. To inspire to create, build, question, and never forget to write it all down. The show will always have a very large part in giving me a love for science, even if i wasn't gifted with the technology part of it haha How sad it still makes me think when I know two people from the show that had such an part of me is gone. To Jessi Combs, and Grant Imahara, for being part of something that I can't easy find the words for. You all inspired a generation, I just hope you all know that, and I wish one day I get to tell you that in person one day. & say Thank you.

I'm am so happy to know that Grant had a chance to pass some of his knowledge. To think that all of his techniques, knowledge, and experience may have been lost to the void for our communities would leave another hole in my heart and mind.

The underlying message in this video is extremely powerful. It put into words this unformed Idea I have had swirling in my head for years about the reasons why I like building things and collecting unusual items. the statement about bringing whimsey into the world and making others happy. I think that is the key I've been looking for. I feel like the lens just came into focus. Thank you Grant! You will be remembered for the influence you have made on the maker community, and thank you Adam for sharing all these candid videos with us. Lauren, I am just learning about you but I hope to see more of what you do in the future. From all us basement makers out there, Thank you!!
