@11_ 11 no it's not. sushi means vinegar rice with ANYTHING on top of it. but he's just being an ass. i'm guessing he learned something new and wants to display it.
@11_ 11 what you are saying is half correct. Sashimi is the raw fish itself and sushi is the act of putting almost anything on rice and making it bite sized.
@Critical Cheeze The meat isn't tough, like guga just said eating the sashimi "it melts like butter..." Litterally took another bite and said it again. It's a myth, because cows, and lamb, pigs usually get tougher in their meat with age, lobster is different and much smaller compared to other animals.

I taught myself how to make sushi from watching these videos and I follow Hiroyuki's method to a T. I've impressed family and friends with my delicious sushi but it's only because I do everything just like its done in these videos. You guys are awesome, thank you.

Using the whole lobster and giving it a quick death much respect man that’s amazing to see someone having respect for the food they eat the lobster had a long life and it ended in a way were people could enjoy it that is respect right there I absolutely love cooking and when someone respects there animals they cook it makes it much better you can tell he loves what he does it’s amazing to see.
When Guga was cutting the avocado with the butter knife I swear he was shaking like he’s never used a knife before & didn’t want to mess up in the presence of a master. Then he nervously slices the sushi roller 🤦🏻♂️ & I’m like DUDE... your a great cook too in your own right! Take a deep breath & do your thing.
Tthat's a very stupid thing to say. If let's say a psycho cannibal murdered you and made a very nice looking dish which he enjoyed eating would you be proud of ending like that? This lobster would have preferred to mind his own business he doesn't know what even cuisine is therfore can apreciate ''the final product''. I'm not a vegetarian because BACON etc. but I really appreciate a nice serving setup that honors the animal that you're eating. I mean, if you're gonna eat a lobster, you should see what it looked like before you cooked it. I'm a total fan of using the shells and stuff to make a cool presentation. It's not pretentious... It's real life!
Re-visiting this clip.... during my quarantine I seem to torture myself by binge watching Hiro's creations here and there.... I swear once this confinement is over I may live in a sushi restaurant for a week and eat sushi.
