My head canon is that he actually succeeded, not just because agents underestimated him, but because he was the only supervillian who actually spent all his funds on his evil plan and not on marketing, massive lavish evil mansion, a front company, fleet of helicopters and a superyacht.

I would say that the total dedication that Kyle has to all of us and the way he works insane hours just to keep up with the normal schedule they have made for videos is the indication. Secondly, I think we would have already gotten one of those little comments from Allison about his "other work" if it existed, in the same way she tells us when he is slacking off eating flavored ice.

Fun and gruesome little detail, this is very mich like the first crusade. The peasant's crusade kind of happened on accident and made such a general mess of any form of conquest that the real crusade was somewhat under estimated.

From the video it looks like they shoot city destroying lazers. There are at least two per country with 110 extra. I'd say one robot could destroy multiple smaller and/or less developed countries. Spacing them out well would allow you to spend tens of robots on the most developed countries. So I think it could be enough, even though it doesn't seem like that much.

Nope. It’s actually more than enough. You see, he missed a step in his plan. The part where people panic at seeing missiles in-bound to their country and everyone launches their nukes. It doesn’t matter if one of the three counties with a ton of nukes doesn’t launch initially. If the other two panic and launch them, everyone has to launch them, then everyone is dead.
