I love all of these games. Carbon had a great customization and HUGE car list, Most Wanted had the best map and awesome story along with police chases, and Underground 2’s races and soundtrack is kickass I think they’re all tied for me. Carbon may have been “short” to some of you guys, but to me, it offered tons of side missions such as Challenge Series and Quick Races.

I just wonder why NFSU2, MW'05, Carbon, Pro Street, Undercover are so much of a legends games that cannot be repeated or overworked once again. Cos they know that they would fuck up the game.
Would love to see a more fleshed out remastered Carbon. If they could bridge UG2, MW, and Carbon all into one map like NFS world extended - all with a new story that references the previous games and reintroduced old characters, it would be a smash hit. Like a NFS golden era reunion. Caleb, Eddie, Razor, Darius. Add canyons and San Juan to freeroam, heck I’d even be happy to see NFS 2015 combined into it. Great games!
Underground 2 for me is the most nostalgic. Most Wanted definitely has the best graphics and overall feel in terms of map size and gameplay. Lastly, Carbon has the most realistic representation of not only the 2JZ due to the shifting sounds going into any gear as well as redlining but also tire squeal.
Basically they all had one or two points in which they were better than the other two, but all of them were better than all of the older NFS-Games and for most people they are also better or at least equal to most of the games that followed. To summarize, these 3 games are all equally good and the peak in quality in the NFS-Series.
I'm writing this while having NFSU2 open in the background, playing through the career the seventh time... I really should stop at some point. Maybe after career 23 :)
Let me tell u the wide difference in mw u have to check the above antenna for cops u can check only halfway in carbon they will show u the cops as a blip on radar.In carbon races are easy in most wanted hard.In mw police helicopter ,in carbon no police choppers.mw-no crew(only organized blacklists)C-crews plus territory losing n capturing zones after taking control of events in a zone.In mw only rival racers,in C u can have a crew member racing with u.In mw spike strips will completely stop u in carbon the car keeps on going with its rims.In mw u cant have dynamic just pursuit breakers, in C u can have dynamic pursuit breakers(making mobile vehicle objects to immobilize cop cars).In mw u can only hit the petrol tank not the concrete nearby that stands for balance,in C u can hit both even support concrete.In mw cop cars which are near to a pursuit breaker can only be immobilized.In C u can even immobilize police cars which are far away from the activated pursuit breakers.In mw if we hit a civilian car they just go off,in C if u hit a civic car they will fall in front of u blocking.In mw RPD(Rockport Police Department)will impound ur car after there is no strikes left at 4th arrest and they will release our car later for a fee,in C PPD(Palmont Police Department)will take ur car as soon as it hits the 3rd marker at 3rd arrest they will not impound it but wreck ur car for no use.In mw u can earn cash infinitely by winning the same finished event.In C for finished event u get only 500 after the event was already finished and won the first time with cash prize.In mw no drift race,canyon race or duel,race wars or /pursuit tag,knockout/ exclude online content of C in which we can play as a cop.In C lacks drag race.In mw u cant drive a police car,in C u can.In mw manual transmission gives u the same top speed as the automatic,in C ur top increases if u r using manual transmission.In mw there is a seperate shop for parts,performance and visuals.In C there is no one stop shop u can do it all in ur safe house itself.In mw ur career will be over as soon as u finished the last set of races with razor as u flee to the old bridge at heat level 6 then towards palmont if u wish to play career again ex:for ur rap sheet completion the same escape scene comes and finishes mw.In C even after u finished ur career u can continue to progress.In mw the cops will tell the accurate location of where u are after u entered cooldown eg:Suspect was last seen heading west near the bus station,on lennex road,on highway 99,201,etc.In C they will just say eg:Suspect was last seen heading eastbound,northbound,southbound,westbound thats all that was not accurate.In mw the player(hero) face was censored at an arresting cutscene and texture of cop and him in busted cutscene not that good.In C player face was not censored at a busted cutscene and the cop and player texture graphics is good u can see cop heli too which not comes in in-game pursuit lol.In mw racing in day,in C racing at night.In mw u cant have races at freeroam,in C u can have freeroam races just like underground2 but this race is between crews.In mw the graphics looks realistic as in real life,in C the graphics looks animated like an animation.In mw u dont have airflow effect visible,in C u have airflow effect visible at the back.According to my overall opinion Carbon is for kids and Most Wanted is for adults.U can tell me which i missed.Last but not least in mw they wont put u in prison after game is over after loosing all ur cars example:u be on foot,in C after ur game is over they will put u in jail according to the gameover background.Last difference is mw cops have less visual than C who have far more visual,but cops in mw can be able to hear ur vehicle sound but in C they cant able to hear so in cooldown they wont come after ur noise in C for a pursuit,then in mw if u go reverse at full rpm of a vehicle even if it is below 100kmh cops will chase you but in C if u go reverse for atleast 100kmh then only cops will chase u example in lamborghini murcielago reversing at more than 100kmh alerts the cops.Then in mw if u evade the cops and entered cooldown the cops will chase u faster on the same road behind you that you outrunned but in C as soon as u entered cooldown they will search at normal speed.In mw the racers will drive aggressively if you are even ahead of them blocking they just push and go but in C they will slow down which makes easier to win races except canyon duel in which they may even push you off the cliff.
I like NFS Carbon way more than those two games, because of the storyline, that is in my opinion the best one even on the racing game, where storylines are usually meh. Also I liked a way more a map and night that is in NFS Carbon. Customization is one of the best in this game series comparing to NFS MW and NFS U2. The only cool things that isn't in NFS Carbon are LAN and drags. (It isnt hate to NFS MW and U2, that is only my opinion)
Well .. we're comparing the 3 legends that are the best in the whole NFS franchise U2 : best jukebox and badass races MW : great map and story Carbon : Great customization
They all share same exact files there is just a slight changes done in way audio is played for cars.ProStreet has best sounds from all BlackBox era games. UG2 till Carbon Supra sounds like 350z.Best mix would be ProStreet sound files played in way UG2 and MW05 do with some improvements that are already present in ProStreetand Carbon(different sound from the front)
I genuinely think that most wanted aged badly because of it’s yellow-ish tint whereas both carbon and underground keep it dark so the old graphics aren’t as noticeable.
Graphics I disagree. Cars look too shiny from all NFS games. Yeah it`s better than U2 and MW 05. Have you seen Beta version of NFS Carbon? Far better than final version everything looked better. Newer NFS have better graphics than NFS Carbon but not better gameplay.

Hoy empeze a jugar por primera vez hoy 20/03/2023 NFS Most Wanted, literalmente es el unico NFS que no jugue con mis 25 años de edad jaja, en verdad no me convencio tanto nomas Wanted veo que tiene mejor mapa y una buena historia junto con persecuciones policiales, se que para muchos es el mejor NFS pero para mi en tema de Tuning, vehiculos, musica, sonido, Ciudad, condunccion, tipos de carreras, entre otras cosas, en mi opinion me gusta mas el NFS Underground 2

Interms of driving and handling NFS carbon > NFS ug2 >NFS mw In NFS carbon , you can feel that you are driving cars in terms of handling it requires different tactics and practice. Same for NFS ug2 with slight difference. In NFS mw, cars handling are arcady and almost same handling whether it is muscle tuner or exotics. For story and thrill, NFS most wanted no doubt For customization, nfs carbon . I would also go for NFS ug2 but for graffiti positioning and scaling is available only in carbon so nfs carbon Overall,NFS carbon wins according to me.
Carbon hands down. Coz when u play u feel like youre inside the game. Awesome background music, fine tuning options, best cutscenes. I remember one of the battle, where we get to battle on the mountain top all the way to bottom, it reminded me of Tokyo Drift Movie boss battle, lol. So many memories. One of the best game ever. Most wanted have best map, best story, best car handling,best graphics, u2 is fun cuz you allways in the map, no warping to garage and carbon is just good
this is my order of my favourites so no hating Need For Speed Carbon number 1 (my favourite game and i love the sound and graphics and i love the nostalgia) need for speed most wanted number 2 (i like the style of the scenary but also the lighting too) need for speed underground 2 number 3 (because its a classic and i love that type of games)
Hands down when I think nfs it’s these 3 titles not the first underground, not pro street, not undercover or anything released in the last decade I’ll give hot pursuit 2 a slide because I had tons of fun with online with my buddies, but it still wasn’t really nfs. These titles are the best hands down and I wish they would remastered them as a trilogy.
