Oklahoma has a huge Grass-Fed population. Only if you go way out west will you find the industrial complexes. Super cool to see this happening all over!
not just oklahoma, all up and down tornado alley. my dad has worked in ranches from nebraska to south texas, and now we have small personal ranch with about 40 head

About 4 years ago the Toronto Star did an expose in their FOOD section comparing the tastes of various beefs, judged by a panel of professional chefs. Grass-fed limousine won. That's what my family has been raising for about 30 years, crossing over from the old dual-purpose shorthorns we grew up with. Farm boy here!

Here's the thing hopefully there will be more and more and more and more grass-fed Farms perhaps it will cause grass-fed beef to become cheaper and cheaper and maybe a lot of the poor will start to be able to afford it so I hope there's more and more and more Farms like this
Healthy soils equal healthy EVERYTHING. So let's teach all kids starting from age five in kindergarten to TAKE CARE OF THE SOIL ALWAYS. It's as simple as that. The soil grows our food, the water nourishes everything,....take care of them both and your life will be good.

But then again is not like grains were extinct and humans made them up to feed cows... Cows naturally would have found some grains in their 40 pounds of plants per day diet. They are herbivores they can eat and digest this kind of stuff just fine.

The latest example is the change to labeling laws which really middies the water when trying to determine where your meat came from. Companies can buy meet overseas, repackage it and then sell it as Made in America. It's ridiculous!
The reporter saying “its really alarming how much they eat” yep they eat a ton. Regenerative agriculture grazing practices should be a minimum standard when farming meat but its even more effective with just plants. Eating animals is unsustainable.

Great video, there is more and more good stuff on the web showing the truth about what we all do out here on the land. Thanks to everyone in the city watching this who takes the time to learn about agriculture. Make your decisions on what to eat from experiencing food first hand and learning about all the different ways to farm and ranch, if we all did that, the world will be a better place for all.
Grass fed beef is worse for the environment than factory farming because it takes significantly longer for the animals to reach slaughter weight using up more resources and emitting more methane over the longer lifespan lb for lb of meat produced.
You don’t have to be a vegan to support animal welfare. You just have to get your meat, poultry, and dairy from the right sources like this farm for example.
For those who cant afford it , eat more omega 3 to balance out the omega 6 , flax seeds contain concentrated omega 3 , you only need a couple of spoon fills a day and it costs less than 5 bucks a pound

Nope. About 44% of beef is fr dairy breeds who cannot survive on grass only diets. Grass fed is not as efficient as forage based and concentrate fed. It takes up a lot more land. As well as it is physically impossible to produce as much as we do now on grass fed only. It would be considered animal neglect if we only grass fed all beef including dairy breeds.
Although grass fed is better for humans and the cows, it is still unsustainable for the planet. We need to SERIOUSLY reduce our consumption of meat and dairy for environmental and health reasons.
Desiree Munoz they call it beef, because it is specific to the type of cow. There are two types of cows, dairy and beef. The kind you consume is beef cows. In this video specifically beef cows are shown, and not dairy cows, so it’s just called beef.

i really respect this guy. but i still believe that it's best to eat as little meat as you can, that doesn't mean none forever and ever, but i want to cut down. it still hurts to see such happy cows be killed because some people want meat every single day
