I visited nigeria in August and my friend took me to a side of the road eatery..and he ordered grasscutter..woukdnt tell me what it was ..the meat was black..and bony..he wouldn't tell me what it was but i knew I didnt want it lol..I had to Google it..and it was this..nahhhhh
Anytime someone wants to introduce some new food source to people he/she has to come up with reasons why its good for you. Some being medicinal others health and nutritional benefits. Those are just rodents like rats.
You can as well describe them as mammals- obviously rodents and primates are in the same kingdom, Animalia, the same phylum, Chordata, and class, Mammalia. So from what school of thought are you condemning "rats" as an unhealthy nutrition?
obayemi olawale I hope you dont mean a deep litter system like in chicken poultry.. You have to house them at a ratio of one male to four females, if you attempt to house them on an open floor, the males especially will fight each other to death.. Two males are NOT allowed to stay together in any situation.. I know some farmers claim to "culture" males to stay together, but its risky and unadvisable.
He'll to the Naw.......never..call it what you want....be it a Capybara from the Amazon weighing 200 lbs or grasscutter or guinea pig ....they all rats....I eat no type of rodent....where's the chicken at...lamb goat..cow..that's all the meat variety I want..
