My prediction are Shrubbun- Jacklope Flambilli- Jersey’s demon Coybra- Loch Ness Monster

If this somehow becomes a fangame, that would be something I would play.

Hoa’ax is such a genius name. Knowing myths & cryptids I am gonna guess… * Shrubbun: Evolves into a jackalope & a grass/flying Wolpertinger Pokémon. * Flambilli: Evolves into a Fire/Dark jersey devil Pokémon. * Coybra: Evolves into a Water/Ghost Loch Ness monster/River monster Pokémon.

I love how me picking Coybra would give Maple the fire goat, so then she has Gompers! There better be a pig pokemon that she loves!

If Coybra evolves into some sort of Snadger, then you truly are on another level.

Headcanon, based on canon from the show: Grinkle Will’s full name is Wilson. His missing brother Wilfred is the real professor.

Oh my god, Coybra is so adorable!! On that note, the concept of the Gravity Falls-themed Pokémon adventure is freaking cool. Small town surrounded by pure wilderness, cut off from the world? It's a tiny yet big adventure! I can already envision it as very story/lore heavy, given the inspiration.

I would definitely pick Coybra. Tbh I think that’s what Mason’s “canon” starter would be.

This is the perfect idea for a Fakemon region, not because of the Gravity Falls thing, but because that is no way that Game Freak will actually make anything like this. My Team: Coybra

Out of all the Gravity Falls characters to become a Pokemon Professor. Grunkle Stan (AKA Will Pines) was the last person I was expecting to fill that role.

The production values for this episode are literally through the roof! The animations (All the characters blink, holy cow), background art and the new map are just incredible, man. Hat's off to you, sir! Super inspiring stuff! ALSO - I rarely ever pick the water type starter. For sure, though, I'd be soft resetting for a shiny Coybra. All great designs but that little guy is just way too cute!

I love this so much. I am SO excited for future episodes! Starter inspiration predictions: Shrubbun: Gives me Alice in Wonderland vibes. Flambilli: HAS to be based on Gompers the Goat. Though for any other inspirations, I have no clue. Coybra: Because of its shy nature, it might want to stay hidden, which reminds me of the Tsuchinoko, a Japanese snake-like cryptid. As for my starter choice, I'm torn between Flambilli and Coybra. I'd probably need to see the final forms to make my final decision, but for now, I might choose Coybra.

Man, it feels good to once again witness the beginning of another Froopy Art Region. Very excited to see more of the Hoh’Ax Region. I’m also so psyched to see what the starters will evolve into but if I had to choose right now… I’d probably go with the grass bunny boy!

I've been thinking a lot about how well Gravity Falls would lend itself to a Pokemon region. Really excited to see some regional variants for this region! Also eager to see what Bill Cypher looks like in this region? Maybe an evil Unkown?

I think that a PLA style would fit this game the most. Helping Sta-err...will...fill out a strange book he found one day, that seems to have small amounts of info on all the Pokémon. As you work on the journal, Will will slowly start acting more and more crazy, eventually you follow him down to the basement, too see him activate a portal, bringing out the TRUE professor of the region, who went into the portal in pursuit of a legendary Pokémon. Together, you and the real professor finish the journals, and confront this legendary, Ciphweil (mentioned in another comment...somewhere.) who has begun destroying the region.

Love the subtle Belief System vibe they all seem to share: the helpful Optimist Flambilli, the Realist researcher Shrubbun and the aptly "Trust No One" Pessimist Coybra

Due to my love of fire, I'd have to go with Flambilli. As for my predictions on the inspirations? Taking into account the obvious Gravity Falls motif. Shrubbun: Jackalope seems obvious, maybe Bunnyman. There aren't any bunno cryptids in the series that I remember. Flambilli: While most are thinking Jersey Devil or Goatman, Manotaur seems to be more likely. Coybra: There are soo many aquatic cryptids out there. However, there's only one in Gravity Falls I can think of, the Gobblewonker.

Man I saw Flambilli and I was just. Instantly attached. I will cherish the little guy forever ❤ once again my favorite starter out of the 3 options is the fire type lol This project looks so cool! It's very well done, and I can't wait to see more of it!

Aaah nice this is such a good first episode😁 After you released the trailer for this project I started to rewatch Gravity Falls. This is gonna be awesome! I'm in love with the Starter Trio. I have a real struggle choosing, since i usually look at the final stages first. But that's not possible right now. I guess the Grassstarter is gonna be a Jackalope. The fire starter idk. And the waterstatter might be based on the robot Loch ness monster? For now i would go with the waterstarter. I love it's little skinhoody! Edit: ok i saw someone who said Flambili might be based on the Jersey Devil. Now I'm torn again. Also the Name of the region is genius and love the map design. Especially the 2 snake like Rockformations (hope that wasn't a spoiler).

Small thing I liked: the name Will retains one very important quality from its character's basis: it can be short for at least two different names: William and Wilson. Heck, one of them can also be shortened to the second half of the name and still result in a cohesive name, with William becoming Liam. Nice touch!

what a great start! i really like how the “start screen” music is reminiscent of the gravity falls theme. all three starters are really appealing, but if i had to pick one i’d have to go flambilli. can’t wait to see where this goes!

If I have to choose, I’d go with Coybra as my Starter. I like how it’s a mixed attacker and its shy personality gives it the potential to be a fearsome Pokémon by its final evolution. Awesome start to the region and I can’t wait to see more of Twin Falls.

I’m definitely picking Coybra, I love it’s design and hope it evolves into the Loch Ness monster or at least something similar. Can’t wait to see more of these amazing Pokémon.

So looking at these three starters, here are my guesses for their final evolution inspirations: Shrubbun - Jackalope is the obvious choice here, and it’s your classic American forklore rabbit, it’s horns being branch’s also work real well for a grass type. Flambili - Jersey devil or goat man for this one, although I’m leaning more towards Jersey devil as I think that skin shawl will develop into wings (also my personal pick for a starter). Coybra - Lake monster story’s can be found across the US, so some sort of lake serpent makes perfect sense here. Gravity falls even has its own lake monster the Gobblewonker, so that would be a cool reference.

"Fakemon fighting..... I can draw this!" Normally I'd pick the Grass or Fire starter, but for this I have to go with Coybra! All of the starters are cute, but I can't look at Coybra without thinking it's a more cute version of Vipond. (The Water starter of my region.)

I'll go Coybra hoping that his hood will become part of his face when it evolves, like turning into the upper-part of his face (or whatever the color difference on the top and bottom that snakes and other reptiles have is called). It's the most interesting designing by now in my opinion, even knowing Shrubbun might become a cute wooden-horn Jackalope (that's my guess for the inspiration). Btw, if your planning to make Shrubbun a Jackalope you should play on with a genetic "deasise" that makes bunnies grow petrugions on their faces what could play with Shrubbun's curiousity in this case showing the down side of curiousity. I just hope Flambilli doesn't becomes a dem0n spawn.

Due to my recently discovered love for reptiles and my eternal love for water Pokémon, I'd go for Coybra

A pokemon style metroidvania would be *killer* Dunno why this inspired that, but the idea of the map seeming really small but then expanding with strange allies and gadgets found to access more and more map space that you just didn't realize was there? Beautiful

I'm a massive Gravity Falls fan, so I'm so excited about this. Can't wait to see a Summerween Trickster Pokemon. I'm assuming water-starter will be a gobblewonker, but i'm blanking on the other two. Looking forward to seeing where you go with it. Awesome work dude.

I keep forgetting these aren't all gravity falls inspired, but I have a pretty good guess that coybra will evolve to reverence mcguckit's gobblewonker

I love all three of these starters. My favorite is the grass bunny, but a close second is the snake for sure. Can't wait to see where they end up!

...I am in love with this new region. I will suggest one thing; have you ever seen the show, "Mountain Monsters"? Because I think that would give you A LOT of inspiration for monsters and even story. And I am going with Shrubbun... because we're either getting a Jackalope or the flippin' Rabbit of Caerbannog!

as far as what their inspirations are from gravity falls, rabbits are ridden by gnomes and that's it, the goat makes me think of the very specific goat that appears although out the show, and the only snake I remember is the one that wraps around a badger during season 1. So I'm very interested to see their full inspirations and an too torn between all of their adorable faces. But if I had to pick, Shrubbun speaks to me in a weird way. Also I can already see Maple getting a ground or normal/ground type pig to be waddles.

the inspirations that jump right out are Jackalope, Jersey Devil and Nessie, which are such wonderful choices - and if those aren't the inspirations I will be excited to see what they do end up being. Always love a cryptid pokemon design, and it's a lot of fun learning about new ones.

I may not be the biggest fan of gravity Falls, but this is so good you really outstand this time. I had such a hard time picking between the grass or water type, but eventually picked on the water type.

I’m already expecting the gym leaders to be based on a few of the more humanoid anomalies in gravity falls, like rumble mcskirmish and Bill to be the big bad

i really like the clothing theme going on here plus coybra is just the cutest hope it doesn't get limbs and the hoodie is just the best. i hope for a pokemon based on that monster that gets stronger when they pour water on it

I like to Imagine Canonically Mason gets Shrubbun, as both are fairly similar(or at it's similar to how Dipper is in Canon), and Mabel gets Coybra as while it's sorta opposite of her, Opposites can attract and She'd definitely be the one to help it come out of it's shell, and I feel like Bubbly Mabel would have a affinity for water types, and meanwhile I think Will would get Flambili, both because how Chompers in canon is sort of Stan's pet, and that it's possibly based on the Jersey Devil, which is of course from the Same place Stan is from. Definitely wondering what the Name change is all about though, unless it's just based on Willow trees or something.

Also all the little details such as Will's cane having e luxury ball at the top of it being one of my favourites :) Edit: I believe the inspiration for Flambilli was due to the Bambi dance that Dipper did in the series. Also I would choose Coybra as I love water types and a shy snake with a hood on just wins me over any day of the week

Love the production value and general energy of this. I haven't seen more than a few episodes of Gravity Falls, but I do enjoy it conceptually and its general energy, so it's great to see here. As for the starters, I'd probably choose the Coybra, I adore the little hood, although Shrubbun is a close second for me.

As a huge GF fan, i really enjoyed this. Pines family name and the twins are great for fitting in the Professor and rival system. Starter Pokémon would be a hard choice, but I think I’d go with Coybra. While Shrubbun is the cutest and Flambilli looks cool, I love my water type.

shrubbun gives gnome vibes, with the spectacled look, the buck teeth, the chest fluff that looks like a beard, and the appearance of an oversized robe.

I kinda wonder if Mason and Maple knows about Hilbert, Hilda, Nate or Rosa though? Since they’re also from the america counterpart in pokemon? Also, since the Ho'hax region has only one town, does it's means there's just ONE gym we can take?... or, test? Also, i like how Proffesor Pines is like Stanley from the og series, except that instead of shunning away the supernatural and caring for the money, Proff. Pines knows a lot of the Cryptid Pokemon around the region, just to help the other professors too!... and also for money as well, but hey! At least that's an improvment from just ordinary taxidermy. Can't wait to see more episodi.
