It's a really cool twist that the early route flying type is inspired by a moth rather than a bird. It's a subtle change, but it adds a nice unique flare.

Awesome designs, too - interesting that you made the gnomes the route one "Rodent". Never would have called that! My team so far: Coybra Tintis Lilurk - and I'm shiny hunting this little guy because that palette is just sweet!

I love this novel. As a rule for myself i can only add one new pokemon from each episode. Current team. It is a hard chose for me between Lilurk and Itle, but i go for Lilurk because i think it be based of the mothnan when it evolve and i love that. I will give the pokemon nicknames at some point. Combining Gravity Falls and Pokemon is such a strangely good idea, I'm loving the story so far, the cryptid-inspired pokemon are very interesting and their designs are really well done. No way, I've been thinking about cryptid/pokemon crossovers and was going to heavily imply a tie to gravity falls towards the end of my game idea. Crazy that I'm not the only one thinking about such things, there truly are no unique thoughts anymore

I would definitely like to see more cartoons or even stuff like anime adapted into fakemon regions or games since its just such a rich concept, after this project is complete or anything else you're wanting to do tho

Lilurk is a cutie and I do believe I might take him on as a teammate, at least initially. I don't know how this series will go and what kinds of Hoh'ax Region that may prove more useful but for now? Definitely something to keep in mind. Also, seriously. Try checking out the series, "Mountain Monsters". Might give you more inspiration for characters or story bits to add that will fit right in and keep it from being a 100% Gravity Falls series. Nothing wrong with Gravity Falls, but Mountain Monsters might be inspiring.

So happy this is happening, solving the cipher puzzles as GF released was one of my favourite things to do back when the show released. Experiencing it again this way is a wonderful idea for audience engagement.

I like how Gnolo's shiny looks like a garden statue, though I would have given Lilurk the dark bug type and Itle the fairy type, that said I'd definitely these two to my team along with Tintis, it's ability is SO OP

I am stunned. I just stumbled across the first episode and I watched with my jaw hanging. This series looks absolutely incredible, combining my two favourite things - Pokémon and Gravity Falls of course - *and* it's a fakemon region, *and* you put so much work into these episodes!! Amazing, you have an instant and loyal subscriber, I cannot wait for where this goes!!! Your designs are absolutely stunning, I *love* all the starters and I would have an actual hard time choosing which one would be for me; Flambilli it would be though. Great job!! I'm probably going to pass on adding Tintis, Gnolo, or Itle to my team, as I don't normally use Normal types, and I only use Bug types infrequently. But Lilurk is a definite possibility! I do use Dark and Flying types on a lot of my teams.

Not a bad selection of early route Pokémon. If I want to add any of them to my team, it's definitely Lilurk because having a Dark type so early would definitely help. Plus, I always use any of the region's Flying types as a way to help my Starter.

A route 1 flyer based on Mothman, that's stinkin' clever. Very out-of-the-box. I would use it in battles.

My ideal team would most likely be composed of Shrubbun or Coybra, Tintis and Lilurk for now. Also, I know I already made that joke on the community post yesterday, but there is nothing you can do to stop me from calling the little fluffy flying type Mr Mothman. He just looks as pure and positive as him and I can just HEAR Ron Funches' voice coming out of his little proboscis. Finally I think I can say that I speak for every Gravity Falls fans when I say I do NOT trust that shapeshifter! If you know, you most likely would have preferred to don't know.

I don’t know how I found this series while it’s ongoing (the RU-vid algorithm decided to bless me ig), but pokemon gravity falls and puzzles are all some of my favorite things and I’m hooked

From Jurassic Park/World to Gravity Falls, these Fakemon Regions are cool. Also interesting that our Professor is Grunkle St- ahem.. I mean Will, as well as Mason and Maple with their clear inspirations being staple Male/Female avatar player. So we're out searching for 10 segments to a ring for a currently unknown reason. Well with the starter Trio, as well as the new guys in this episode. Also lol, the Gravity Falls Gnomes are iconic, we got a new baby mantis, a Mothman Fakemon with an adorable pre-evo, and lastly a changeling Fakemon that again looks cute as possible. Oh hey, we find the fake tree just like in the first Gravity Falls episode as well. Truly iconic moments from the show being introduced naturally. Glad I decided to only now join the Discord, because this be cool so far. Now that I'm caught up on this new Region so far, time to show off my new Team for the Region: *Hoh'ax Region Fakemon Crew* Shrubbun (Grass), Tintis (Bug), Lilurk (Dark/Flying), Itle (Normal) Well now that we've only dived into the beginning of this Pokemon Journey, I'll be seeing all of you to discover more in the next episode of.... I don't know if this was intentional, but i like the idea of lilurk being in place of the route one bird, because you could make It a nod to how many think that the Mouth Man sightings were actually just owls.

Lilurk!! ❤ I am usually not one to add a regional bird to the team (not a big fan of them or a lot of bird mons, if I'm being honest), but oh my goodness is this little guy so adorable!! And I love me a pastel shiny too! I'm excited for what's to come as well as what future Grass mon are in this region because a Grass type is a staple for any Pokemon team I put together.

Alright, prediction time! Tintis has two ways I see it going. My first thought is, based off the eyes, it will have some sort of camera aesthetic, and will be based on cryptid photographers, or it will go crazy and be a mantis manticore. A mantiscore if you will. Gnolo's evolution will be a full swarm of Gnolo', and, obviously, Mothman. Lilurk evolves into a mothman-esque creature. But Itle? Itle is an enigma to me. Anyway, great designs, and I'll be joining that discord.

I really like that the early flying type isn't based on a bird. That's something I don't think I've seen before. The mothman and mantis Pokémon would for sure go on my team!

I would definitely go for lilurk and itle (if I found one). I am loving this series so far. And your designs are so good!!! Though if I were to look at my past play through of Pokémon I would most likely end up catching all of them just to fill the Pokédex.

LILURK! I'd catch them all, because you gotta, but Lilurk would make the team for sure. Who doesn't want the Mothman on their side? Especially a pink and yellow one - such a cute shiny palette.

Lilurk definitely but also tintis will be on the team. Also, terrorize desperately needs to be an ability. The fact that they haven’t added it after all these generations makes me think they have some design reason to not include it, but I can’t imagine what that would be. (Similarly, I’m also miffed frostbite didn’t return in gen 9 over freeze.)

Can I just say I love that Lilurk isn't a bug type? Like, obviously you'd think it's a bug type but a bit of Mothmans lore mentions that it's sometimes referred to as bird-like. I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK OF EM!

(The following content is from my upcoming blog article on the Nuzlocke Forums. The first half reviews the video, while the second half is my own narrative based on my imagined adventures in the Hoh'ax region.) So story-wise, we have our first appearance of the classic Gravity Falls zodiac, that one thing that was constantly teased from the very beginning and then in the moment of truth failed completely. (Why.) In this version, however, the 'zodiac' is/was apparently a sort of big important science project that Grunkle Will was working on that somehow shot through the roof and exploded all over the region, including ten major pieces. I fully expect that certain Pokemon will obtain these pieces and change into super-powerful new forms, similarly to how the Triforce Shards work in Blisu Art's "The Legend of Zelda: Link Dimension" Pokemon/Zelda crossover project. I also expect that these Pokemon will be the equivalent of Totem/Noble/Titan Pokemon in the more recent games, serving as bosses for the player to overcome. We don't find any of the ten main pieces just yet, but we do find a fake tree with a mysterious journal inside it. Mason (the player character) makes (possibly?) the right call in not showing this to Grunkle Will immediately, although if the storyline plays out similarly to the original show, Grunkle Will's going to get his money-grubbing paws on it one way or another... somehow... So let's talk about those mons now! First off, the regional Bug type, Tintis. I'll be honest, this little guy is adorable. Slightly creepy, but still adorable, with a soft mint-green and yellow color palette that emphasizes the big eyes over the slightly smaller but still big claws. I'm not a huge 'early route bug' fan (except for Masquerain because Masquerain is awesome), so I'll pass up on catching this thing for now. I am curious as to what sort of cryptid it'll evolve into, although I don't expect to have to wait terribly long, since this is after all an early route bug and they usually don't take too long to reach their final form... (cries in SuMo Vikavolt) I'm not gonna lie, those gnomes in the first episode of Gravity Falls were creepers. The less said about them, the better. That being said, the Normal-type Gnolo goes a good job of capturing their messed-up energy, even if the only reason I'd ever catch one would be to lock the entire population inside a PC box forever to protect Maple. Since gnomes are fairy folk, I expect the final evolution to be either Fairy or Normal/Fairy, and probably this thing will evolve the way of Magnemite and Beldum by combining into something like that enormous gnome swarm Voltron that Dipper and Mabel had to flee for their lives from. While clearly based off the Mothman, Lilurk is actually a Dark/Flying type, and honestly, given Mothman lore, I can see it. This adorable little freak of nature serves as the common regional Flying type, and looking at its big round eyes and fluffy body and how it just lies around looking like a sentient Squishmallow, I just want to hug it. I shall catch her and name her Mothra. Finally, here's the final mon of episode two, Itle the Normal type. Given how Gravity Falls handled its own shapeshifter character, I'm willing to predict that this cute little blob is alien in nature and will likely not stay small and cute forever. Still, I have a soft spot for shapeshifters, and the repeated swirl motif makes this little critter look like it's made of candy, so I'm going to capture it and name it Krahka after the Bionicle character/species. (I'm really not sure if Krahka the character ever actually had her own distinct name, but we do know that was the species name as well as what she went by, so it's kind of a Yoshi/Toad situation here. Besides, a lot of Pokemon in the anime just go by their species name for some reason...) --- Welp, this is going to be a vacation to remember. Whether I want to or not. Me and Maple are staying with the local Pokemon Professor, aka our Grunkle Will. I'm not sure I trust his 'research' after he just admitted that his most recent project went through the roof -- literally -- and now the two of us get to trek all over Hoh'ax in search of its components before anyone else can find them. Unfortunately, it feels like the environment itself is conspiring against my even leaving this one patch of woods. Grunkle Will chose a bad day to make his work explode. Heck, if this keeps up, I might explode. Maple ran off on her own, so it was pretty much me and Jazz, my female Shrubbun. At least it was until this weird fuzzy Pokemon in a ridiculously large hat that smelled of mushrooms jumped out and started making eyes at Jazz. Clearly she was uncomfortable with this, but then a number of similar Pokemon jumped out and surrounded us. What their intentions were, I don't even want to think about, but thankfully this was when another very strange Pokemon leapt from a tree branch above us and flipped up its antennae as if to threaten the gnome Pokemon away. Strangely enough, this diversion worked, and the gnomes fled into the forest from whence they came. My Pokedex registered our new friend as a 'Lilurk,' and she seems to get on well with Jazz, being more of the protective sort. I captured her and named her Mothra. Surprisingly, she is not actually a Bug type, being Dark/Flying. I wonder if her ancestors were Bug types that lost their element in a similar way to Skorupi's change into Drapion? With a Flying type on my team, I could now send Mothra to scout ahead to search for pieces of my grunkle's 'experiment.' While I never did find any sizable, I did discover a mysterious book hidden within a false tree (no, it wasn't a Sudowoodo). Sitting on top of the book was an adorable small insect of the mantis variety -- at least, I thought it was, until it changed shape to something more akin to an inflatable toy with gray and purple stripes. Is this even its true form? How could anyone ever know? I captured this mysterious Pokemon and named my specimen Krahka, although I imagine the species will get a proper name once I register it with Grunkle Will. On that note, whoever left this journal here seems pretty paranoid. They warn that 'In Twin Peaks, there is no one you can trust!' Perhaps they encountered a similar creature to my Krahka, but more malicious? At any rate, I can't yet tell Grunkle Will about this book. I'm still not convinced he's got a legitimate degree in Pokemon science, or in anything for that matter. But I'm not about to say it to his face because we're living under his roof and he's the one who decides how much dessert we get. Speaking of food, what in the world does a shapeshifter eat...? Pokemon team: Jazz the female Shrubbun Mothra the female Lilurk Krahka the Itle (gender unknown; the species strikes me as genderless like Ditto)

After watching the first episode of this series along with this one- I'm blown away! Your Pokemon Amber series was already wonderful, and this series has introduced so much extra polish! I'm particularly shocked by the detailed animations you've given to not only the pokemon, but also the characters! Then there's the theming around this region- Gravity Falls, cryptids, and mystery from the looks of it! I cannot wait to see all the designs you've come up with! (The starters are amazing- the rabbit and snake have both stolen my heart. Along with the little Mothman-inspired mon from this episode). I know I'm gushing a lot, it's genuine, though. Just seeing how much effort went into these two episodes in is crazy. Can't wait for those puzzles, either! Seeing what a huge fan of the Gravity Falls series you are, you've got to be dropping hints to a fantastic story behind each one.

I'd catch Lilurk. I usually add a route 1 Pokémon to my team, and it seems like the best one out of the 4. Plus it gives me a potential team member that can use Fly.

Iqould take either Itle or Tintis. I think their designs are great and based off what I know they both seem to have elements from the shape-shifter in the actual series and I would love to see that as a pokemon in this series.
