Grazing for Profit and Biodiversity - Chicory 

Chicory is a perennial herb, which offers benefits through offering a deep tap route to aid drought resilience, aid soil health and drainage, providing a pollinating flower, giving a protein rich palatable nutrition, and anthelmintic properties for animals. Kirsten Williams, SAC livestock specialist discusses the benefits and management of this crop in a sward. With a key take home of the difference in grazing management to a traditional grass sward, to protect the plants crown.
