Lube Shuttle is my next pm tool. I love the concept and am very appreciative someone engineered such a lube system. I have fought with, beat on, slapped up against, and actually threw grease guns in the trash can over air locks. Thank you GERMANY!! Great video!!
I took this advice and bought the Lube Shuttle. I cannot tell you how much I like NOT having the stupid "ROD" deal and then the leaking, bleeding air, etc. The Lube Shuttle is great. Bought it with a case of the Mos2 grease, so.. that may end up in my will, I have so much!
First saw that grease gun and grease on TTWT . He even went to the factory in Germany and spoke with a grease specialist about the different types of grease . I found it to be an interesting video . Like the fact there is no mess and it's easy to change the tubes .
Enjoyed the video I bought the Lube Shuttle system because I hated changing cartridges in the old style grease guns. It was a mess. I also went with the MoS2 grease because I don’t have a mower deck on my BX2380. I just have the front blower. I also bought the 30” grease hose that’ll be great when I have a long reach and their Safelock locking coupler that locks on the zerk. You are right it’s a great innovation and the average Joe can now easily own a change a cartridge without grease all over the garage!
Thanks Cory, two questions on Lube Shuttle. 1) Are we able to grease the front U Joint in a 1025R main driveshaft that is above the metal frame with Lube Shuttle's SafeLock Long Range coupler? Or is a needle still needed? 2) Is it okay to keep it simple with one kind of grease for both mower decks and a 1025r loader and backhoe, rather than having to stock both the G200 and MOS2 greases? It says MOS2 isn't good for high speed spindles, G200 not good for pins and bushings. But generally just keeping things greased is way more important than the kind of grease used. Thank You!
I have ordered a new B2601 and am going to buy this gun. Thank you for featuring it and for the discount! I still have my father's old grease guns that I used on my previous 3 tractors, 2 Kubotas and a JD. And I can still hear Dad warning me when he was teaching me to grease, "Don't blow the seals!" But I've always hated those old grease guns, always a mess to change and get working. Quick question, is "blowing seals" on zerk fittings still a thing? Can today's fittings be blown? What I learned to do to prevent this scary malady is to sense by pressure when a fitting was full and not force in grease when I felt increased resistance.
Haha, no these seals don't blow. You'll often see the grease appear on either side of the bushing . I normally add grease until I just start to notice the grease appear on the outside. Enjoy your new tractor and the grease gun too. Merry Christmas!
Just bought my gun and grease pack...thank you for the discount! I saw where someone asked about re-filling. I did see where they sell a re-fill adaptor and so, I am assuming that you can get the grease in a larger container and then pump it out of there into the smaller cartridges.
Tractors and grease go together like peanut butter and jelly. I've had a lube shuttle for about a year and a half. I love how they don't leak. I've just ordered another lube shuttle for my shop (my current one lives in my barn with my tractor) because I want one to stay with my tractor and never have a reason to take the grease gun away from my tractor. I was greasing my 1023e yesterday. And I went to slide to another area of the underside of the tractor, so I lay the gun on my chest and slide over. And guess what... not a drop or smudge or anything of grease on my shirt. I did it like 3 times. Did I mention they don't leak. Because they don't leak. But you did forget to mention that it being German design, it's metric threads. You have you get an adapter to put on a standard thread attachment or hose. But it doesn't leak, seep, drip, mark it's territory, or leave a mess on your bench.
What do you think of the John Deere X758? I only have 2/3 of an acre l would love to own a 1025 R but for us here it most likely would be overkill. It’s all I really need is a mower for summer and a blower for winter
PM = preventive maintenance you had to do it Lol :) . I watched your other video on abbreviations. It would be fun to hear how many sentences you can make in a row that make scence only using abbreviations lol .
I see that John Deere has a polyurea grease...whatever that is. Lube Shuttle offers it also. Has it been added since your video or just another option ?
I'm sold on that grease gun. Question though? Can you buy those tunes filled with JD green grease? Or can you get them empty and fill them with JD grease?
hey GWT, exactly what is the name of the model grease gun you have in this video? I am at the lube-shuttle store site & not sure which is which. but, want to get one for our Bobcat CT 2035 compact tractor. Thanks!
Does the type of grease gun, i.e., pistol grip versus lever grip, depend on the part of implement that you’re greasing, ie, a mower deck versus a bucket versus the tractor?
Any grease in any style of gun, can use MoS2 in loader and mower, but Lube Shuttle says that the G200 is designed more with high speed applications in mind.
I wouldn't use it without that metal sheath. I left it off and accidentally bumped the tube and it cracked around the top by the threads on the grease tube and wouldn't work again. That sheath also makes it easier to screw in the grease tube. Now it was severely cold when that happened and that may have played into it. Also, not sure if this is a stupid question and I'm being thick headed, but any idea on how do you reuse them? I tried putting the grease from the one that broke into an empty one I just used up and got it filled but it wasn't reliable. I simply put the two threaded ends together and pushed the follower on the broken one and pushed the grease into the good tube and it seemed fine but wasn't reliable. Had air pockets, etc. I pushed the follower on the good one thinking that would get the air out, but didn't seem to work good. Then the follower at one point went sideways as I was trying to grease the tractor. Ended up putting a new tube in and was fine again.
