I struggled between the Neptune 3 pro and this. I actually ordered the Neptune and cancelled it a couple of days later and ordered the Ender 3 Pro V3 SE. I used PayPal credit for the first time so I got $50 off. I already have the Ender 3 Pro with a direct drive that I installed on it. This will be a second slightly upgraded printer. I'll keep the Ender 3 Pro as a backup. I didn't feel like putting any more money into it. I'll likely buy the filament sensor from creality to put on the SE.
I prefer the bed leveling method of the se, solely based on being more of a proponent of a mechanical sensor rather than an inductive sensor. Both are good machines. You'll be happy with the se.
Amazing Video man, nicely structured with the tech specs and tests. This little beast has become my go to when i want to print something, despite having two neptune 3 pros one 3 plus and a K1 Max i prefer this one as it faster than the neptunes (not klippered yet) and less hustle than the K1 Max (long prep time to calibrate before printing). Cool idea for a video, If you still have the sonic pad around Creality released an update that added Klipper support for this printer! As always Keep up the good work!!!
Yeah, I saw they updated the pad. I'm waiting for them to upload the cfg to stock klipper (sent the sonic pad back), but there's also a community config around that works, so it's only a matter of time 😉😉
Eh, the 180 is mostly on infill. Both machines can probably flow enough plastic at those speeds with a 0.4mm nozzle. I feel like the real test would happen trying to speed print with a larger orifice. The e3v3se definitely has the advantage of a larger melt zone, but the single fan is a limiting factor as well. It's a real balancing act
This was still the phone. I've got panel LEDs, soft boxes and portable brick LEDs... I have to figure out the camera before I can do anything serious with it. Sound was mostly voiceover in post 😉
No, but the artillery sidewinder X3 pro is the same price and comparable quality. They're both decent. Only problem with the X3 is that they refuse to open source the board design so I can't make a Klipper config for it.
@@eaman11 I run Voron test cubes, mostly. I'm a bit of a heathen and just kinda wing it most of the time. I just prefer to not waste half a roll of filament on temp towers and boats.
@@TheFeralEngineer Cool, thing is that boats or whatever are the benchmarks everybody do, so you can compare results to a known quantity and other people results and see if something is fishy.
@@eaman11 that's why I use the Voron test cube. If you notice in my polisi3d video and in my upcoming video, I'll be benchmarking each step against the same cube, same program, same settings, etc.
