Wow, that’s using all your skills in a single creation, so impressive and beautiful, if I saw the finished product and was told it was all by hand I’d probably be skeptical if I didn’t see it for myself, god bless , thanks for sharing that
11:12 Are You Blind ? You have a natural knot in the wood ! Form your design around that ! Yeah its a cool design so? That thing wont last a year! Three grains and two knots in one piece? It 'll be spitting nails before the year is out. Joiner burns, table saw burns... why ? Fucking split it and make it an eight piece set. You need to bend over to pull the router, you're doing something wrong. Either going against the grain forcing it, or the setting of the router is too low, Or the head is n't cutting , needs sharpening. Tip for curves on the band saw. Use the router first, to etch a border around the design. Gives you a guide to follow, that's stable through the turns.
My God this video is painful to watch!!! Do we REALLY need to see every side of every piece get sanded? We get it, you sanded the pieces! Do we need to see every piece of the tabletop cut? We get it, you production lined your cutting!!! Length of video doesn't translate to quality of video!!!
It is painfully clear these wood workers use tools that are not new, not sharp, and not well suited to making good looking furniture. Further, these guys show little regard for choosing certain lumber grains and colors whose uniformity could be greatly improved by replacing blemished pieces with those that don't have ugly knot holes or stains, or at least minimize, if not totally avoid them when laying out serpentine table leg templates. Like leather craftsmen who carefully select their hide grains to maintain the quality of the products they make, the wood slashing dudes in this video could really up their game with a few new tools and sharpening files. I'd imagine they would have thousands of Harbor Freight stores in their neighborhoods to find what they need.
Thats some creative and tedious work man. That homemade table saw sled is terrific. The dust collection for the planer was both, simple and ineffective....lol A guy with your talent needs to get a sander, rather than an angle grinder with a sanding disk. Keep up the good work.
