Ellie the great dane runs around and plays at Cape Disappointment in Washington State.
Some folks have asked questions about Ellie, so I will try to answer a few: she was born in the summer of 2009, so she's still quiet young in this video. She eats an all natural grain free food, but until she was fully grown (about two years old) we kept her on a lower protein food to avoid causing her too grow too fast than is healthy. Ellie is a great dog and we absolutely love her. Stay tuned for videos of Ellie and her new little sister!
Many of you comment on her weight, wondering if perhaps she is too skinny. According to our vet, Ellie is the ideal weight for such a big dog. Yes she looks very slender, but she has wonderful muscle development and is healthy. When large dogs gain weight, it can be hard on their hips and can result in many health issues.
