I loved Emily the Criminal because it doesn't try to make her out like some #GirlBoss character who gets into fights with dudes, but easily kicks their asses. She gets into two fights, if I recall correctly, and she gets pretty jacked up in them both. If that movie was made by Marvel, she'd win in like two minutes. It also does a good job in showing the depths people will go to when they're in a corner with nothing left to lose, and how easily people can get tempted into committing crimes and risking everything. Definitely highly recommend this film!
I know this movies im about to mention came out a few years ago, but what did you think of cherry with Tim Holland? I feel like that's a part of his acting skills that alot of people don't know about. Tough watch tho
All great movies! Good list. I'd just say the anti"woke" angle is becoming nearly as annoying as what it criticizes. I hope they equal each other out. Movies have always had a message, it's just now that there has to be a political spin put on everything to satisfy our polarized existence.
I can 1000% speak on Emily the criminal holy fucking shit balls was that movie way different than anyone is going to expect and it's amazing. It shows a different side and a different I don't know it's different. Real it's gritty heartbreaking and just a real look at real life. It was fantastic I can't recommend Emily the criminal enough. Another great movie is the movie that's playing at the theater right now starring Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Holt rynfield or rinfield whatever the account Dracula vampire movie holy shit that was mind-blowingly amazing. Just think John wick meets vampires and some actually perfectly timed comedy sprinkled in and I don't know how they made that so perfect but it is. Immediately watch that movie. It is officially my favorite Nicholas Cage movie ever number one out of all of Nicolas Cage movies. And I even liked his pig movie and most people don't even know what that one's about or ever heard of it and it's a masterpiece all on its own. But Nicholas Cage as count Dracula? I know what you're thinking he's going to ham it the fuck up right? Nope almost to the point of oscar-worthy performance if you ask me. I've never seen Dracula is more powerful cunning and pure evil as Nicholas Cage as count Dracula. Like I said you got to see it to understand. It's unreal how it can still have comedy in it and be so well just go check it out mind-blowing.
