I absolutely love how they get carried away insulting each other that they completely forget that George is there to confirm Jerry's win. This scene is gold Jerry, GOLD!
Best part is.....George and Jerry are in this shop daily. The other regulars and employees especially must be like wtf is going on. They sit together all the time 😂

George went from making his first million before he was 29, to being an architect and designing the latest addition to the Guggenheim (which didn't take very long), and finally, losing his virginity at school to Miss Stafford, all as a prelude to supporting Jerry. 😂😂😂 Seriously, you couldn't write a funnier script than that.
This is one of the best scenes of the series. George's over the top shocked expression as he just stares at Jerry, his dismissal of Lois, the back and forth jibing. Just brilliant.
Best 3 minutes you can ever watch on TV ever. Just incredibly well written and acted . And they werent even trying too hard to be this level of perfection. Best sitcom of all time.
That's pretty tough, I like the one where Jerry and Elaine bet she won't back slide to Putty, the Seinfeld music starts to play and she continually has to pay $50 or the Kramer cold start where he is alone in Jerry apt and does a bunch of crazy stuff while Jerry is out, then Jerry comes back and is irratated Kramer didn't use a coaster for his drink😂
@@lisaboje3640Jerry was considered the primary lead. At the Emmy Awards he was always nominated for Lead, whereas the 3 other cast members were always in the Supporting category. The episodes would open with Jerry doing a stand-up routine. His apartment was the primary setting. Overall, I guess he probably was in the most amount of scenes.
Love Jerry’s expression like “ok George you have to be this way, tone it down” I love the audience’s laughs here😂love how Jerry & George roasting each other passive aggressively :)
I started watching Seinfeld as an adult so thankfully none of it was spoiled when my parents were watching growing up. This scene had me actually in tears laughing so hard. I seriously must have rewatched it 5 times at that moment. It seriously is an absolute masterpiece of comedy, combing so many long running jokes of the show into one epic scene perfectly highlighting George and Jerry’s characters. It really is the one best scene of TV ever. I wish that I could rewatch all of Seinfeld again with no memory of it all just so that I can see this scene once more and experience the moments of absolute hysterical bliss again.
This is such a perfect example of how once you have the right comedic premise the entire scene just writes itself then. This would've flowed from Larry and Jerry's pens so effortlessly once that initial idea was hatched. It's brilliant.
They should have had more scenes like this, where they pretend they don't know each other, should have been a running gag on the show, like each season. Good stuff
This scene, like many others, is why I've always considered seasons 5 & 6 to be the best of George, or rather, Jason Alexander. The Conversion, The Marine Biologist, The Opposite, etc.. He should have won the elusive Emmy at least one of those years. ...but for one man!
The wink, the limo, the diplomats club, the van buren boys, serenity now, and that episode where they pretend to be homo is George’s best episodes. Still missing a couple but that’s it. Also the gum is his top 3 episode
This is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. I fucking love how even though this is carefully planned, Jerry and George still fall into insulting each other to the point they almost ruin the plan.
@@scj6693 as a professional hooter, I was employed back in all those cheesy 80s and 90s tv live audience shows and would hoot when the 2 leads start kissing or an emotional scene and I'd start the awwwwwwwww. That guy was no fellow professional, he was an amateur. He went early .
I love how George is so into this "lie" that he is fine with Jerry's insult about going bald. And Jerry knows it, so he doesn't fear that George will turn on him and tell Duncan the truth about the race. The day of the BIG RACE..as if that was the pinnacle of every memory of their time at school, so Jerry doesn't need to say what grade, its just enough to say the DAY OF THE BIG RACE...lol
Even when he has landed his dream job and is doing alright for himself in real life, he still has to seize the opportunity to be someone else. How can you not like the character lol
