Best guides on the site! Everything's very to-the-point and clear, while still going into minute details. Starting out, I'd watch multiple guides to have a solid understanding of what to do, but these would've been all I needed. Thanks for what you do!
I have been on the fence about using the GS for a long time. I've really enjoyed your other weapon guides, you inspired me to try the Hunting Horn, and now it's one of my favorite weapons! Your videos are well suited for beginners and experts alike; you explain core concepts of weapons clearly and delve into advanced strategies to help players take their skills to the next level. More importantly, you avoid needless distractions like exaggerated facecams or flashy editing. Straightforward, to-the-point and no nonsense. Other people who make guides should take note. This channel makes the best guides, no contest!
@@adaman0215 thanks for the support! Im glad to hear you liked it the way they are, as my goal is in fact to include basics for the newcomers but also stuff that can help people elevate their gameplay. Usually its the minor details that achieve that
These guides are so well-made. There are a lot of cruddy guides out there that spend more time discussing useless anecdotes so the ones on this channel are a godsend. Very good work. Here's hoping we'll see one for Bow someday!
Honestly, your guides are the best to start a weapon out. A lot of people spend very little time on basics, but you focusing on that really helps someone properly understand the core of a weapon's kit. I always recommend these to my friends!
@@nox6497 thank you for recommending my guides to your friends. I do believe the basics are important yes and some of the advanced stuff branched from understanding the basics.
I've just recently discovered your guides and I have to say, they are amazing! The attention to detail, the clarity in explanation, the editing... everything is top notch. Thanks for making these TorpedoSoup, they are incredibly helpful. Can't wait to discover what you have here with GS, then study it and apply it in game. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into these, instant subscribe!
beautiful guide, there's so much detail. I really like your chapters so I can reference stuff when I forget. thanks! also, that glavenus sidestep is insane, I've gotta start using slinger burst haha
@@minighost244 thanks! Yea i like to keep the chapter system to make things easier to follow. This is one of the things that makes these guides so slow to produce, scripting the chapters.
Awwww yeah, the chef is still cooking. Found your Longsword guide through a pile of all other guides and found it to be the most thorough and helpful of them all. Initially was just using Longsword but your weapon guides have encouraged me to try out other weapons and has really put more enjoyment out of the game by making it more accessible to me. Started GS yesterday and was disappointed you didn't have one but lo' and behold look what pops up today I have ad block on so here's a tip. Must have spent hours to structure this out and edit. Hope you end up making a GunLance guide if ever!
@@pax462 hey there thanks i really appreciate the tip and support. Im glad my videos encouraged you. At the moment my irl schedule is getting worse so its hard to say.. i would do my best tho. Ur right these guides do take a lot of time and effort to make, but dont ever feel u need to pay for it, its free content.
i didn't even realize this was posted just two hours ago, i was looking for a good gs guide since i got into it yesterday and found your video. nice guide!
Great guide, dude! Just to point something at min 11:01 the tackle doesn't give you stun inmunity, you still can get stun while tackling but that's something you get when doing it in a row, like tackling 3 times in a row you'll get stun the 3rd or 4th consecutive tackle.
oh really? I know Rise tackle does not provide stun immunity, because hyperarmor in Rise was nerfed. but I was pretty sure in World we cannot get stunned through hyperarmor. But I'm curious whats the real answer now, can we get a confirmation? thanks for pointing out btw I also want to know now.
SoupDeeDoop back at it again. Was surprised when I heard that voice! Hope you're doing well. Nice guide, I'll definitely pick up Great Sword in Iceborne. Question: is it a thing in this game that hitting with the center of the blade deals more damage? What about certain hitting timers, like with Insect Glaive where hitting at the very end of the animation deals more damage?
@@Tomix4k yes GS in iceborne still deals slightly more dmg when u hit at the center of the blade. Its 3% extra. Actually many weapons have this effect, including HH. I just dont talk about it because i doubt most ppl would do it
@@Boamere thanks! Hope it helps her. About the AI voice, usually for these guides i spend a lot of time writing a script that works properly in chapters to ensure all info are included in a coherent way. I personally have a lot of trouble reading directly from a script without screwing up. It has been tried before.
Insect glaive or sns next????!!!?!??1111?? Edit:also i love your guides (mainly the hunting horn one but i still didn’t known how to use it becuz i’m so hasty lol)
@@mikederrick4680 not a dumb question. We have max health and stamina because we are at end game, wearing an end game monster’s armor set that provides that bonus. I left the name out in case ur the type that is concerned with spoilers, tho he is already shown in my guide. Name starts with F
also food. don't forget to eat food in the canteen before fighting, in early high rank (where I am now) health boost skill can help too, plenty of armors have it, like the bone armor for example :3
