What a fantastic and courageous woman. What a life , exciting happy sad,.so many boring mundane lives for most but not the life she wanted eclipsed by the tragic loss of her son. We all have dreams. What can happen when you meet someone on a train. Train the word would never leave her. I'm impressed Mrs Biggs........ Just wanted someone to love her....I guess....

Crime does not pay...

Too bad the whiners and criers here haven't the spine to direct their attention to real criminal. I'm not forgiving Biggs, nor his cohorts, but their criminality net them nothing compared to the organized crimes perpetrated by industries and governments. All in all, this is basically a sensitive treatment of the person closest to Biggs and her life with and without. Hats off to Journeyman for re-acquainting those of us who care enough about history and people to learn all we can from others.

Charmian Biggs was one of my Aunts. I only met her three times in my life due to her living in Australia and myself living in England. From what I have come to understand about her family of origin, Charmian is highly likely to have been the Scapegoated child amongst her own siblings. Having her head turned and being shown some attention by the charming Mr Biggs would have probably felt like the first bit of love and validation she received in her life. I believe she was so needing of that feeling of love, this led to her devotion throughout their relationship.

My parents stayed with ronnie in the early 90’s in brazil, my dad was working there as an oil in gas consultant and he met him in an irish pub. He heard his manchester accent and started drinking with him and then realised who he was. They became mates and after a few weeks instead of staying in a hotel my dad stayed with him my mum went to visit and then they had a friendship. Over a few years, i recall we went to london on a family trip to visit family back in manchester via london and my dad said i have to see someone we got off at a tube station at cafe had chips and a drink with a man he gave him a letter. I figured out later it was Buster edwards 😎

Watching this it seems Ronnie was already a rich man just youth didnt allow him to recognise it, then went from a normal life to wanted man desperately pursuing a normal life, sad thing is, if they had just carried on they would have had a full life and most probably be very wealthy as theyre business grew over the years! lesson to learn here, crime really doesnt pay!!

Whole operation was based on leaked information inside Postal Office, a man called "Ulsterman" who gave it to Brian Field who guided "Ulsterman" to Gordon Goody and Buster Edwards, only one who met "Ulsterman". It was Goody who knew who that man really was. In 2014 he revealed the name: Patrick McKenna. There is still open important question: the role of Charles Lilley. Butler of Yard tailed him and he was one of the top suspects. Was he the money launder?

I have met ronnie biggs and he was pathetic.

What a waste of life for Ronnie Biggs.The great train robbery wasn’t so great and Ronnie basically got ripped off by his own tribe.He was a likeable man would have been better off being legit Ronnie experienced the reality of life was naive in many ways.He was selfish in some ways in other ways a genuine bloke most who met him liked him.The establishment never forgave him politicians are not perfect but Biggs was billed as the super villain and the sight of this broken sick old man surrounded by a army of Police upon his return to the UK was that necessary not cheap for Joe bloggs the tax payer that would be me.He didn’t help himself taunting the authorities the only person Biggs fooled ultimately was himself a loving wife son partner and family..Ronnie wasn’t blameless but I don’t believe he was the super villain living a life of luxury the press portrayed.Ronnie would have been far happier not running and hiding making out he beat the system he didn’t beat the system his life apart from a sun tan was tough and he was exploited.Not saying poor old Ronnie I think he paid for his sins.
