I noticed that every U.S state has their own high school football champions that went to state and won. You have the texas state champions, california state champions and so on. What if it went even further than that. What if all the champions from each of their state competed with each other to see who really is the best high school football team in the country?
The difference between Texas high school football and every other state is that most every other state has a handful of quality teams... And some states (Florida and California) have 2-3 ELITE teams, but Texas separates itself from all other states because of the quality AND quantity of teams. It is insane how deep they are. - Sincerely a lifelong Oklahoman
I remember watching it live and thinking the throw was going to be about ten yards out of the back of the endzone. And then it came down in the absolute perfect spot. Absolute DIME.
Well, it WAS the Greatest High School Football finish. Thompson coming back from behind to win the Alabama 7A championship while down by 9 with less then
In the greatest finish ever to a high school football game, a team recovered and scored on four consecutive onside kicks in the fourth quarter and had the lead. One of the broadcasters said, "I done wet my britches." With a couple of seconds to go, they kicked off. The other team took it for a touchdown and won. The guy was crying. Anyway, this one was just another last second win. Be sure to mute this before
