What ever the facts may be he was a great composer giving innumerable melodious sweet gems leaving behind a great legacy for the future generations.

People who do not know much about the greatness of hindi cinema music between 1949 to 1975, can say anything, but their credibility would be low. I consider C Ramachandra, one of the greatest in these five greats: Naushad, S. D. Burman, O. P. Nayyar, Shankar Jaikishan, and of course C. Ramachandra. These five were the foundation of the best of Hindi cinema music. Of course there are honorable mentions, like Madan Mohan, Roshan, Basant Desai, Kalyan Ji Ananad Ji, and Laxmikant Pyarelal. But, the panch permeshwar I mentioned in the beginning were soul of the hindi cinema music. They made hindi cinema music unforgettable, immortal forever. It is incredible to think that intoxicating music of Anarkali was created just in 150 days. Of course that was the magic of Lata Mangeskar as well. C Ramachandra, Naushad, S D. Burman, O. P. Nayyar, and Shankar Jai Kishan, possibly gave the best music ever created on planet earth. Sure, there were Mozart and Beethoven and great Italian operas. But, the way those five captivated millions of Indians,seem to have created tge best music ever created on planet earth. would their era come again? I do not know. I long for it.
