I had to use rolling sparks to kill him in 5 hits and it still took me 2 hours. 2nd phase is just bs difficulty, they put so much effort into making it look really flashy and made a lot of attacks that seem impossible to dodges

I had to do another playthrough to get the last one.

@@Irithyllian There are two rememberance copy graves that I was able to use to get all the weapons and spell from said rememberance. One was behind the magic church and one was in the finger graveyard.

Yeah I agree, it's weird how this happens with two regular weapons (there are two carian greatswords and two butcher knives that look the same) but amso with THE FINAL BOSS weapons? They could at least have separated his swords so that you could get one or the other to use with both hands, and if they're used as a pair, they unlock a secret ash of war or something

it isnt cannonical for the general lore of the weapon, but as a fellow frenzy enjoyer i do see where you're coming from, but at least it has a good use for pvp since it doesnt have madness buildup

@@Floaydi strongly disagree on that, the AOW is incredible on other tarnished since its a grab move, you straight up impale people through the head and extend the spikes in them

@@Strawhat_Kal it’s like how fast speed is determined by dexterity instead of mind, never made sense to me. The swords still do magic gravity damage base, it’s only the skill buffed.

starscourge greatswords are certainly not dogshit, but they can be bad against faster bosses. if you make a jumping attack build with those they're really good.

@@WeeabooPocky how so? they do decent amount of damage for dual colossal greatswords, they're not heavy either. its slow but that applies to literally every colossal weapon.

@@Surge-gm5vx short range, slow, not so much hyperarmor, AoW easy to avoid, and the average moveset of powerstanced colossal swords. all of these applies to all the three weapons. yeah sure, as you said, they do good damage... but if you can't land any hit doesn't matter.

@@WeeabooPocky yeah they're slow, but that pretty much applies to every strength weapon. unless its pvp, the aow should hit all the time because the cry pulls enemies in which a chance for the follow up to hit as well. the bigger bosses immune to the pull-in from the initial cry are just gonna tank the several thousand damage from the follow up. its a matter of knowing when and how to use it like all weapons.

@@TheDeatharcana 150 was the level being used. The scaling on the swords isn't that high at max level meaning that me having over 40 dex or strength means little to nothing, if its scaling was an S or an A it would gain more damage as my stats are higher, the magic scaling is very low so you only want the intelligence to use them, you can invest more and use spells, but you'll have to get 32 strength and 24 dex as well, they're meant for higher level builds for sure and they're colossal swords, so relatively high is a good way to word it, its not top tier and the ash of war is what makes it viable because sadly Radahn's greatswords don't have a good moveset for range, but they still hit hard. Its hard to address so many questions when its so much to type, thats why I made the pinned comment, but I know that didn't catch everything about it, I'll try and make videos on direct reviews of the weapon with commentary so people get it more. Talismans don't change a whole lot, but the ash of war gives lets stay 'stacks' to talismans like the Rotten Winged Sword, so you'll proc that talisman if you land multiple shots off the ash of war, I know this is alot to read, but hope it helps if you read it all. Thanks for letting me address this.

D scaling with int. so not like maxing int will make a big difference.

The entire combo can be freely aimed. Miss one part, unlock and start again.

It's not the best PvE testing, but one full combo from those swords does like 15k to the furnace golems, I feel like it's going to shred big bosses

I've tested this in PVP. The last 2 inputs is a true combo even if you miss the first. The other thing to think about is when I have hit the first input they have time to roll, yet the second still has enough range to roll catch them no matter what direction they roll.

You need a shield with the shield boost to take the hits.

you will get it eventually, i reccommend a holy resist talismn and the flask that boost all ur resist.. i was able to kill him yesterday cuz i could tank more hits (im on ng+1 12 fragments)

Rotten wing sword for repeated attacks , bull goats to remove stagger,shard of Alexander for more skill damage, and Millicents prosthesis for more repeated attack damage.

They’re not that good. Especially the light version. They both need to be buffed a lot.

I would say light better for pve especially for enemies that don't stagger easily for pvp definitely lord but lord ash of war is harder to completely use in pve because most enemies will try to stagger you out of it

Same with Messmer’s Spear, you do two swings with fire, then instantly do 3 quick swings then land on the ground right next to them and then spears pop up underneath them. It’s insane.

I mean it's all about the build, if you're running a crazy op build you can beat every bosses easily, you can even cheese radahn using great shield build but where's the fun in that?

@@oppenheimer2074 cheesing radahn with greatshield was still plenty fun for me. if he's gonna cheese me then i'm going to cheese him (without using the most meta builds) i can save a real fight with him for my 2nd playthrough

It better not, promised consort is the hardest boss in Elden ring by far you should get one of the best weapons in the game for beating him.

​@@ebxrk7836 I'd argue that he's even one if the hardest souls bosses as a whole. I've played every Fromsoft souls game (bloodborn and demon souls excluded) and have never struggled on a boss like that.

@@ebxrk7836 I wish that was true though. The weapon itself is decent in PvE after some testing.. The AoW is way too long to be used consistently in PvE. But specifically a pvp weapon yeah, it seems pretty sick.

It’s actually 32 str 24 dex and 15 int. The int requirement is annoying but the base attacks do the same gravity magic damage you can see the purple lightning on contact, only the ash of war buffs the blades with Miquella’s light, but I get where you’re coming from.

Yall need to quit caring so much about scaling and look at the damn AR. Scaling is a modifier that increases the damage BASED OFF OF THE BASE DAMAGE OF THE WEAPON. The carian knight straight sword has doodoo dogshit scaling but is still, by a wide margin, the highest damage straight sword in the game because it has high base damage. Same with Godfreys axe. Same with this. All weapons with high base damage and meh scaling that still results in super high attack rating.
