This game looks really cool and feels pretty original as well, the art is great, the story seems interesting and it's got good sense of humor. Definitely will be playing this, thanks Splat!
I bet you wouldn't find any chest armor through entire game. Just for shit and giggles. And finally a game that seems original and made in a way I missed for years.
Jesus, this one is a banger! Not only they did a great job animating enemies (in sprites!) and made armor visible, but most importantly they put a great spin on combat. Thanks Splat, I would missed this one for sure.
Are you serious? The animations are janky. The block mechanic requires accuracy and the animation isn't smooth enough to intercept incoming attack direction.
@Agent 33 I mean it does a bit. The parry is incredibly powerful so it being hard is very important. Requiring accuracy isn't a negative as it's just practice. But I agree sometimes the animations are hard to follow but that's just practice to learn the tells.
Dude! it's perfectly fine to do this fight without commentary and redo the commentary over it later! It's extra work for you anyways. So it's appreciated! Not discouraged!
Looks doooooooope. Old-school Final-Fight-style meets Monkey Island. Love it. Thanks for sifting through the pile so I can know what is worthwhile, Splat!
@@Cenot4ph it's easier to think you don't know shit about what you're talking about seems more plausible and accurate, as you're the only one with such an opinion occam's razor, friend
I'm not sure how I feel about it. The art style is awesome, but the fact there's no animation for attacks and you just hit anywhere on the screen drives me kinda crazy. I'm not sure I'd jump on this one myself. Definitely has had a lot of time and care put into it, and that's commendable, but it's just that combat style that really shuts me off.
20:50 Doesn't that make you the "Almighty Tallest"? 21:45 Generally, for those with a knife backward inside their sternum, the condition of hating life doesn't last very long. I'm reminded of when Drizzt Do'Urden was going through the Melee Magthere: "...and one student died of natural causes (one naturally dies when there's a dagger in one's chest...)"
This game reminds me of that old game where you're a dragon and you go around doing lil puzzles.. witty, charming... and the combat definitely makes it appealing/challenging-- thx for the show splat; will toss it on my wishlist.
Loving the art and the writing. The main gameplay loop is definitely not something I'm interested in though. Maybe if they add an easy mode, I'd work my way through it.
Looks like a beautiful game, glad I now know it exists. Sorry, I had to mute the video, the dialogue you were doing was giving me a headache. I have sensitive ears.
It reminds me of Metal Slug animation. The design seems like it could also be used for a party based game. Reacting to the pixel frames is a great idea.
Reminds me A bit to one game I can't remember to,but the character image did. Bucket hero? Some gnome guy who lost his wife. Trying to find her. Your meon guy got a iron bucket on his head.
This looks like a game that actually would play well with touch controls, like Infinity Blade. I might even prefer that to a mouse. Also good timing on 19:26
This looks like a lovely game. I'm looking forward to playing it really poorly. Edit: it's a shame you don't make let's play vods anymore. I'd be down to watch a few episodes of this.
This has nothing to do with the review but thank you for producing good content that's new and interesting any time I watch and not spamming youtube with shorts.
I feel like the developer of this game has the same seething hatred for the BoS in fallout that I do... I mean the "hero" has literally formed the BoS but with magical items instead of tech
Umm, I'm not sure there are words for this game. At least, aside from four letter words. This game, it ain't right. In a good way. Yeah, that's the ticket.
