So the Greek Gods hid in Egypt disguised as animals while Zeus took care of the threat upon Olympus... So maybe while in Egypt they played as Gods as well. Hence the reason Egyptian Gods have animal appearances!
It was Greece initially who got affected the most by Egypt rather than the other way around, ancient Greeks idolized and appreciated Egyptian civilization a lot - it seems crazy but Egyptian civilization was already “really ancient” to ancient Greeks so they did romance it like we do today.
INCORECT about Atlas: him holding the Earth on his shoulders is a modern iteration of the myth. Originally he was set up to hold Heavens (Uranus) on his shoulders separating It from the Earth (Gaia)
why cant Hollywood just follow what has written in it for ages to make a real life movie? why must have so much alterations in the storyline till it make us confused what the real story was...?
You can actually visit the cave in which Rhea supposedly hid Zeus, it's in the mountains, not by the sea though. I was there, it's quite beautiful and interesting.
Those greek gods and goddesses who ran to Egypt and made their pantheon there really flourished. I just wonder why their battle against the giants were not included in this video?
@grey world there is a theory that the egyptian gods were actually the greek gods, when the olympians were about to be defeated by typhon, they escaped and were hiding in egypt, for some reason, they omitted that part from the video
@@andyquinn3996 that doesn't make sense...Egyptian "Gods" predate Greece by thousands of years so how could "Gods" that weren't even thought of turn into the Egyptian "Gods"?....you sure that's a "theory" or something you made up?
@@cozyboy3052 that's where you're wrong man. Sure Egyptian civilization predates Greek civilization But in Greek mythology the war of the gods and titans is ancient even to them. Before Zeus created humanity So those gods that disguised themselves and fled to Egypt could very well have stayed
@@cozyboy3052 You know it's not real right? All through the past when one culture would dominate another, they would insist that the local gods were actually the dominating culture's gods in one form or another.
They should make a movie starting when cronos took the power from his father and go from there and show the 10 year war between the titans and gods then make a sequel to when gaia createz typhon and he damages zeus and punish him it would probably be the greatest movie ever made if done right
In the Percy Jackson series I WOULD LOVE to see a child from some random powerful being from the beginning of time where there was only chaos that no one has ever heard of before that would be sweet, interesting and u would love to see the campers and the goddesses/God's reaction and it's a good excuse for the writer to be creative but still accurate in a child character of a god or goddess without having to be accurate of them having something their parents have.
idk why but for some reason, when the gods turned themselves into animals and hide in egypt to avoid typhoon, i could imagine the egyptian deities going like, “um? whatcha doin? this my home.” “give us five minutes, we’re hiding from someone annoying.” “umm yeah well okay, five minutes then you’re out.”
by the way combining the info of this myth and others like Faethon son of Helios burning the Saharian forest while riding his father's chariot to close to the earth give us the info that at one point humans knew thta Sahara desert was a forest and i thimk it is also proven scientificaly. myths are just small bottle of information if you look carefully
no sir, Chronos is a Roman God for time, people often confuse it with the Greek Titan Kronos/Cronus the god of harvest (Saturn in Roman). Chronos is a modern Roman concept, the same with Janus, the Roman God of passages, beginnings, etc.
I would like to share with you that there is a mystery behind the names of the 12 Olympian gods. For instant pronouncing the name ''Artemis'' makes your body vibrates on a certain frequency that makes it superior in every way than before. Try repeatingly pronouncing the word ''Dios'' by lifting weight and feel the diference in power before and after.
Who thinks these are one of the most helpful and beautiful stories in history go down as THE most important lesson in life how to be these emotional iconic persons and share it with others. How to share it with others.
Okurrrt Swagata there’s a myth that humans were made with two heads, four arms and four legs, Zeus saw this and feared their power and split them up, giving way to the two armed, two legged, one headed person of today. It’s said that humans are still looking for their other half, or soul mate.
Aquarius Amethyst no. It’s one of the early Greek myths. He feared they might be godlike or at least have some similarities to the one hundred handed ones so he split them apart. Zeus really hated humans, which is why I don’t see how anyone worshipped him. I guess to keep his wrath at bay.
@@anapaulapedro7025 yes the animation is pretty good and I enjoy the series. But they barley talked about the Titans. Also it looks like they are going to make Hades a bad guy which I was disappointed about. I could be wrong but I would like to see them do Hades justice.
@@anapaulapedro7025 I know I was hoping they do him justice for once. He was actually less tyrannical then Zuse and Hades he just did his job. Poseidon and Hera actually tried to overthrow Zuse before.
@@FB-eg5vb And if I remember correct he was meant to have Zeus' title since hes older, but didnt get it and let Poseidon take the sea. I could be wrong. He was definitely one of the most.. docile of the gods
Something to think about : If Greek gods really exists, then they can easily stopped Roman armies from conquering Greece, right? Then our planets will be in Greek name, for example biggest planet will be Zeus, blue planet will be Poseidon. Make sense , right?
Ok but how are Uranus and Gia Kronos’ parents and he is triumphant against Uranus and his father came (who isn’t Uranus) came..? How many parents does he have
Can someone help me understand something: I’ve heard that the golden age of humans took place during the time of Cronus, but whenever I look for the origins of humanity in Greek myth Zeus, Athena, and Prometheus are all pretty important figures. So how did the golden age of humanity (and humanity itself) start (at least in the version that takes place before the titanomachy)?
Well, there were multiple... versions of humans, so to speak, each destroyed before the creation of the next one and each lesser in quality than the previous version. I don't think we are told how the humans of the golden age were created, all we know for sure is that they lived in prosperity and peace under the rule of Kronos. Hesiod's Works and Days has the most detailed account, I think.
I met death and it led me right to Jesus of Nazareth, I was Atheist before I fell asleep driving home. My body was found on the side of the road back in 2005 but I on the clouds. I know Jesus is God and Him resurrected only. My ears are ALWAYS tickled with stories about Him and God.
@@josephine1468 Chronos is, I think, a personification of time. He is often dubbed "Old Father Time". Kronos (or Cronus) was a god of harvest, and father of Zeus.
"Mother earth, without the help of any other deity, developed Uranus." OMG really? With two valid pronunciations one can only think this was intentionally.
