Oliver is having trouble looking for his type writer so he can write a letter to The Postmaster General complaining about the poor service of the Hooterville Post Office. Lisa and Eb cause him to get so frustrated, he ends up having a "temper transom".
From the episode "Old Mail Day" season 4, episode 8. Originally aired November 20, 1968. Episode description from imdb.com : "It's "Old Mail Day" as Sam Drucker hands out letters that have gotten misplaced in his post office. He delivers one letter that dates back to 1917. Having learned nothing from his previous letter-writing fiascoes, an upset Oliver complains to the Postmaster General for delivery service. The locals soon turn on Oliver because Drucker's General Store is never open; his letter got the Hooterville post office reclassified and now Sam's always on his bicycle delivering mail."

I love those "language barrier" episodes when Lisa screws Oliver up so bad he can't talk straight. The funny thing is, no matter the setting that it happens in, Oliver's the one that always ends up looking like an idiot! haha Thanks, DJ. That was a good laugh to come home to! :)

Yet she's dumber and less useful than a 50-pound bag of horse manure. Between her and the other denizens of Hooterville (at least on Green Acres), it's no wonder Oliver gets frustrated a lot (and understandably so).

Scenes like this could very well be titled "Gracie Allen meets Edgar Kennedy". For those who are not familiar with movie history, Gracie Allen was famous for her "illogical logic", and Edgar Kennedy was the master of the "slow burn".

I put my laptop in the fridge for 30 minutes. Ants get in the works. I am guessing this is why Lisa put the typewriter in her fridge. Here's a tip, don't eat honeyed toast close to your laptop or typewriter.

It's sad they used canned laughter for these sitcoms during the 60s. The audience would have been rolling down the aisles in laughter. and the actors wouldn't have been able to stay on scrip. It's also too bad they cut up the bloopers, that in of itself could have been better than anything on the 10,000 channels we have now.

Could you get the scene in the old trunk where they were doing dummies for Billious pills? They were so great together in that scene.
